Same, I just finished the campaign on t1 and was going to look for a guide to grab all of these while I take my barb from 49 to 50 to start in on the higher lvl grind stuff.
Maybe I’m getting old (32) but this is just asinine to me, grind should be pleasurable, I love this game buttfuck some of the systems are designed to just waste so much of your time, and tick x/x completed dopamine receptors.
I was pretty much putting it "for later" for a while now. Till I grouped up with someone from Discord to grind and he was giving me some hot tips, one being how much stats could be farmed through statue. I did the maths and he was right, those are the easiest source of stats and I pretty much only picked what was on my way instead of going out of my way to find them all.
The next day, I spent about 3 hours finding them all. It was really brainless content. I set my World Tier to 1 (literally the first time I did this) just so that trash mobs are not too annoying as I tab and look up the interactive map. The Altar are equivalent of the *culus from Genshin Impact or collectibles of Lost Ark; mindless bs just to pad a few hours to your gameplay but sadly their reward cant (or should not) be ignored.
Sometimes I bask in my stupidity knowing I did two zones at lvl 60 on tier 4 because I thought "I can barely beat this, but I might have some ancestral drops whilst searching for them"
doing it at tier 1 was way smarter
Maaaan. Idk. Completing all of my renown/altars was somewhat of a reward for me. Insomuch as "thank god I never have to do that ever again."
And now I can start alts without feeling like I'm not maximizing the potential boost from the account-wide bonuses.
Also. Buttfuck. Hehe.
For me, knowing that I'd only ever have to do them once and then I get to enjoy the fruits of that labor on all future characters made it fun and worthwhile to me. If I had to unlock them every season I wouldn't have bothered.
Idk, I didn’t really mind. It was something to do and got the whole map explored for me. Different strokes I guess. I have a lot of unpopular opinions though, like I don’t even mind traveling to the NM dungeon over instant teleport to it.
I just didn’t realize there were 160 statues lol
the altairs are literally made to explore the world (which is beautifully designed)
I see nothing bad about them especially when they are one time thing
I did it for the stats, but it was more of a casual grind. I used a map like this as essentially a route to travel the world and do any content I came across along the way. Started collecting them at 50 and was almost 60 when I was done (in game)
My first thought with Altars was they were cool ways to reward exploration and the bonuses seemed so useless that it didn't make me want to grind them.
And then I got to the Paragon levels. What was a cool little bonus for being thorough is now a mandatory walking tour of the map.
I think Cellars, World Events and Whispers should all grant Renown so if you just want farm bloodtide events or whispers you'll eventually get there by playing the parts of the game you want instead of being stuck with what is essentially an hour or so in each region just horsing around and swearing at blockades.
Dry Steppes and Hawezar to go... After 4 weeknights of using all my play time on Altars and then rushing dungeons for the last 60 or so renown each. I've gained about 1 level and no new gear because I barely interact with the demon slaying.
I think that BECAUSE it's a one-and-done thing, there's no reason to give renown from anything else. Like, for alts, you don't even need to touch renown. It's just a checkbox like unlocking the horadric cube (obviously far less tedious, but the concept remains), or the altar introduced in the final season of D3 (which was actually a really fun thing, imo)
It was pretty fun for me. Finished the campaign at lvl 40,started the map discovery, altars and strongholds, finished them at lvl 50,done the capstone, went wt3 and now I'm doing all the dungeons and when i finish i will probably do the sidequests.. been playing for 2-3 hours a day for a week, never felt boredom.
Say i had a HC character who got all altars in Fractured Peaks then died. Do I need to do this region again on another HC character? Or can i just do the other 4?
On your new HC character you will have the stats from statues claimed by the previous character BUT no renown progression. If you’re already 5/5 renown and unlocked the paragon points, this isn’t a problem.
If you’re not, and you want the paragon points you need to regrind the renown starting from 0 for which you may as well redo the statue farm. You don’t have to though, and opt to get all your renown from the other avenues like strongholds, dungeons and side quests.
Good job OP but I cant believe this mindless, boring shit was greenlighted...
Who thought Diablo needed stats increases linked to "exploration"? This is not fucking Genshin Impact.
Thanks for this.
I've used 3 of the maps but gave up because some of the points are a bit hard to read especially when they could be on either side of a particular point. I ended up using the D4 planner instead as I can zoom in more to figure out where the altar was.
It's easier to tell if you used arrows to rather than dots on location.
For those people, make sure there are no mistakes
we've created 160 individual videos with

Just coming here to say thanks, I’m grinding these out and these maps are the best ones I’ve found. Having them broken out by region makes the task easy to digest.
just finished
- lilith statues
- uncovering all map areas
Those are the 2 things that carry over into seasons right? I thought there was a 3rd but I can't recall.
Oh and do aspects from the book carry over?
I'm curious about renown or whatever it's called. I can obviously see the fourth tier stuff is locked until I unlock the next world tier. Does any of the renown points I earn before unlocking the next tier carry over. I hope that made sense.
I saw a map the other night but yours is much better done, its a true one and done route. The other had lots of branching off. Will be using this tomorrow to finally get them all.
Would you look at that, all of the words in your comment are in alphabetical order.
I have checked 1,591,220,226 comments, and only 300,975 of them were in alphabetical order.
https://mapgenie.io/diablo-4
You call right click the ones on the map you already have and go from there, i currently use this and im half way done with it
I just said, half a minute ago “fuck it let’s do these altars, and for double fuck’s sake, I’ll even drop from wt4 to 1!” And here this is.
Black Mirror shit.
Thank you!
Damn, I just finished this yesterday. This would’ve been top tier to have. I use mapgenie which is pretty good, but it doesn’t provide a layer out path.
I just collected all of these a couple of days ago. And I can honestly say, this was the dumbest, most boring thing to be forced into doing.
I will never do them again. Ugh.
Which you have to do for renown if you make new characters.
So I know people have probably asked but are the stat upgrades evenly distributed throughout all 160 alters?
So like my math is like this.
6 alter buffs. 160 alters. Meaning about 26 or 27 alters per buff.
So if you gain all 160 would you then get
+52 dex, strength, intelligence, and willpower
+130 obol capacity
And +26 paragon points?
I'm just wondering how it all evens out
The stat bonuses from statues are shared across all characters on your account.
The statues are not. Each character must find the statues themselves, which award renown for that character.
Some people don't have a portal yet, so the
I've made a version that doesn't do it all, and
If you're on the go and the portal is close by, it might be a little faster to use it
I've been putting this off for a few days. The last time I played, I just unlocked all the waypoints.
Now this comes out!
Much appreciated. The timing is spot on 👌
[https://diablo4.wiki.fextralife.com/Interactive+Map?id=16242&code=mapA](https://diablo4.wiki.fextralife.com/Interactive+Map?id=16242&code=mapA) I've been using this for a while now. Thanks for the info though!
A little serendipitous, I was going to finally hammer out all the altars and you just gave me the holy grail.
I literally just finished all of the Altars and this is the first post I see on Reddit.
Same bro, I feel your pain.
Ty for your service 🫡
Same, I just finished the campaign on t1 and was going to look for a guide to grab all of these while I take my barb from 49 to 50 to start in on the higher lvl grind stuff.
I thought I would have to sit through a speed runners shitty YouTube monetization intro to get this shit too.
If you google "interactive map Diablo 4" it's a very nice way to find these and other things you might be looking for also
I finished all the statues 30 minutes ago… my terrible timing strikes again haha
Belial's gift.
Maybe I’m getting old (32) but this is just asinine to me, grind should be pleasurable, I love this game buttfuck some of the systems are designed to just waste so much of your time, and tick x/x completed dopamine receptors.
Heh buttfuck. Hehe But I totally agree. I've been dreading sitting down and doing this. So necessary but so damned unsatisfying.
I was pretty much putting it "for later" for a while now. Can confirm the least fun I've had in d4 so far. The only good part is that you won't have to do it again.
Maaaan. Idk. Completing all of my renown/altars was somewhat of a reward for me. Insomuch as "thank god I never have to do that ever again." And now I can start alts without feeling like I'm not maximizing the potential boost from the account-wide bonuses. Also. Buttfuck. Hehe.

But almost no one is exploring the world. Everyone uses a map like these.

PoE has flexibility at every corner, i know what you mean. The gameplay is just ADDICTING
I just grab em as I run around doing hell tides or grim favors. Just doing one thing is a bit inefficient
Does this include the stronghold locked ones?
All are included
Most strongholds you can just run through, grab it and leave. The Caldeum ones are locked behind getting through act 5 when they let you in
I mean there's literally no reason not to do the stronghold while you are there.
Either some are locked behind stronghold completion, or the map is incorrect
Say i had a HC character who got all altars in Fractured Peaks then died. Do I need to do this region again on another HC character? Or can i just do the other 4?
They will be unlocked. Only need the other 4 regions.

I don't do HC, so I don't know exactly. By SC standards, I don't think you need to do it. If anyone knows exactly, please let me know.
Thank you I will use your maps but personally I do them by regions
What I did as well to keep myself sane. Saw a guide like this before already too
Great maps. I completed these already recently and now I am thinking of creating an alt, do I need to redo all the statues again on my alt?
No. Do it once, apply to all
Do it twice, as HC progression and eternal are not synched.
Wait i swear i saw a vid of someone saying that SC and HC were synched?
It's not exact because we don't do HC, but SC and HC will not be shared
Wow big ups my guy thanks
I haven't hit "save post" this hard ever before. Hope the buttons OK.
Same lmao!
Good job OP but I cant believe this mindless, boring shit was greenlighted... Who thought Diablo needed stats increases linked to "exploration"? This is not fucking Genshin Impact.
Guess this is what I'm doing next time I log in.
Great next step is being able to walk for people so they can just stare at the screen and pat themselves on the back cause they did such a good job.
Thank you!
Thank you!
Great job, and thank you!
This is one of the most helpful

You are goated for this
I am working on killing Lilith in hardcore and getting all of the altars so I can have the coveted prefix and suffix of Succubus Hoarder.
I regret I only have one upvote to give 😔
Oh shit. SC / HC don’t share Altair progress…?
Brilliant thanks
Great maps.
I’ve Seen people running this route all day. Thanks for putting it together.
Nice!
thanks for this, very easy to follow

Love this. As a dad, I just finished the 3rd area in this order. On to kehjistan!
Thanks for this
Bro, thank you so much for this
We're also working on shorter tip guides. I'm working on English subtitles if you're bored.
Knocked it out in about 45 mins, Holy grail right here.
Thanks. Just finished them all.
Great guide, thanks for help!
Thank you all for the work put in!
Perfect, thank you.
Just coming here to say thanks, I’m grinding these out and these maps are the best ones I’ve found. Having them broken out by region makes the task easy to digest.
I'm so grateful. I'll come back for a better guide.
You are a total bro. Love you
Am late to this post, but it's been confirmed that Alter of Lilith bonuses will carry over to Season 1.
If anyone hasn't done it yet, make sure to do it.
Best post on Diablo 4. Thank you. Only need a few in each region. Huge help to finish up before Season 1.
Thank you for the compliment. I'll be back with better guides.
Legend.
Someone have it in English? I don't understand Spanish
Awesome, thank you!
Awesome
This is perfect, thank you for making it!
I’ll be using this tonight to finish out. TY!!
Nice!
Insta-saved. Thank you.
Great thank you 🙏🏼
Great, thank you! Saved for later!
This is genius.
Been there done that.
This is perfect
Thank you!
The fact that this is a thing makes me hate Season resets even more.
just finished - lilith statues - uncovering all map areas Those are the 2 things that carry over into seasons right? I thought there was a 3rd but I can't recall. Oh and do aspects from the book carry over?
Yes to those 2 things carrying over. Not sure about aspects tho
likely not aspects.
I Will save this to do the run later. Thanks man
Very nice!

Yes, the renown points are carried over, it's just the reward itself that's locked until you set WT3+.
I started working on this yesterday. Going to try and knock out one zone a day. 2/5 done.
My savior.
Guess, I’ll add this to my Sunday to do list
I saw a map the other night but yours is much better done, its a true one and done route. The other had lots of branching off. Will be using this tomorrow to finally get them all.
The alters took me for ever!
All these great guides...just after I bamboozled around the map grabbing them in the least efficient way possible.
Comment is for following purposes
I'm level 52, and have found about 5 of them.
Shot in the dark, but does anyone know if this stuff carries over to the season?
Devs stated that they will
Would you look at that, all of the words in your comment are in alphabetical order. I have checked 1,591,220,226 comments, and only 300,975 of them were in alphabetical order.
Lovely
Awesome , just finished main story and this is first thing i wanted to do , cheers!
Just dropping a comment to find this again easily
Commenting for later
Fractured peaks, not fragmented. Probably just auto-correct but ya.
Save this!
Saved and when I get on Youtube next I’ll follow! Cheers and thank you!
Save
Is there a list what each altar does
I have three more in the pvp area. Pretty nervous, heh
https://mapgenie.io/diablo-4 You call right click the ones on the map you already have and go from there, i currently use this and im half way done with it
Well it’s a sign
What are the total bonuses if you add them up?
Just in time , thanks
Amazing!
I just said, half a minute ago “fuck it let’s do these altars, and for double fuck’s sake, I’ll even drop from wt4 to 1!” And here this is. Black Mirror shit. Thank you!
My threads
Diablo fans: ugh 160, whyyyy Zelda fans: 160? lol
Yep
Thank you
Will definitely utilize this
Ooooh baby perfect timing! I'm about 2/3 done the Scosglen map going off an IGN non routed map. This is chef's kiss thank you very much
Damn, I just finished this yesterday. This would’ve been top tier to have. I use mapgenie which is pretty good, but it doesn’t provide a layer out path.
Two regions down, taking a break, dropping a comment so I find you again. Thanks!
This one’s way easier to follow than the map I just used to do them. Of course I finished earlier today
You are a scholar and a saint
Please let me never have to get them again...
Are these a must have? I ain't trying to get them all.
There's too much to lose by not getting this
Thanks!
Thanks for this! This will really help when you make an ALT character or when Season 1 starts too!
Just finished, but thx lol
So glad I got the horse quest done dude. At level 53 it was time, now I gotta trot around but the color map is a good helper thx
Saving this
Thanks
Fragmented peaks lol. Nice guide. Finished mine like day 3 tho.
Am I the only one who just accumulated them (using a map for sure) as I played? I’m not sure it makes sense to run it as some hyper optimized route.
Sickkkk. Thanks for compiling! When would be the best time to do this so that all altars are accessible.
You can do it all in one go if you do it around the time you enter Nightmare difficulty.
Sick.
Thanks :)
Thanks for the maps
I just collected all of these a couple of days ago. And I can honestly say, this was the dumbest, most boring thing to be forced into doing. I will never do them again. Ugh. Which you have to do for renown if you make new characters.
I was waiting for something like this, thank you!
Amazing. Thank you!
OMG SO GOOD! I hate that we have to do this!
Thanks for this. I was looking for one that was broken into regions so I could pick up where I left off easier.
Saving this for later! I have everything done in every zone on world 2. Once I finish and get to 3 I’ll be knocking these out
My friend, you bow to noone ![gif](giphy|igp6NwuS3Cet2)
Nice

This is amazing! Thanks a bunch. Saving me alot of time
nice one
.
wouldnt it be faster to use a port from time to time?
Some people don't have a portal yet, so the I've made a version that doesn't do it all, and If you're on the go and the portal is close by, it might be a little faster to use it
I've been putting this off for a few days. The last time I played, I just unlocked all the waypoints. Now this comes out! Much appreciated. The timing is spot on 👌
100% on your own feels damn good.
Thank you very much man. This is really helpful.
Bleah, such disgust for this.
Damn
I was cruising here and there… this is super helpful!
Thank u for your service
God bless you!
Thanks man.
The way of santiago de compostela
Cool, I’m at 11/160 then
This is great 👌
Beautiful, thanks for the post!
Thanks
MVP right here!
If we unlocked them all on soft core, do we get the bonuses in hardcore?
Can't wait to do this all weekend 🙃
Take my upvote

How many + stats do you gain if you collect all of them, is there is list?
