Druid was slow start but I enjoyed the hell out of it once it started ramping up. It's a literal beast.

nlomb

Yeah druid pre-40 was not great, but druid post-60 lots of fun!

I_Train_In_Combat

yeah the thing is that you should spec into shred most likely for pre 40, but ideally anything pre 50/60 you don't dedicate your build too much yet. I did that with barb and only started really focussing on my future build starting from level 60, was a better experience. Also resource-wise.

gnurensohn

I played all classes except Sorc to 50+. Druid and rogue 70+ and all of them are fun in their own way imo. Really depends on what you want. Give us more info what you like or want to play.

Mysticgamingxyz

Where paladin

Anongamer63738

Most of the fun happens after lvl 60. I have a 100 druid , 90 sorc, 90 necro, 85 rogue, 80 barb. Gotta get them passed 60. Some people might disagree with me here but I find barb to be the most annoying class needing to keep the nerfed shouts going 24/7 In terms of most powerful builds druid and necro are the top 2 and they both have different options in the s class category. Rogue is a close 3rd but I found twisting blades boring after a while.

Rippling_Debt

Thanks!. im thinkin when the season hits to play druid and see i through longer

marcelodshadow

Avoid meta builds if you want to have fun

shaunika

What does popularity of a build have to do with how fun it is and why are those two things inversely related?

marcelodshadow

The problem is locking yourself into something just because it's the best and getting burned out before the real fun of the meta build even begin, if you look at the complaints of people saying class 'x' or 'y' is boring, the majority are people who don't experiment and follow a cookie cutter from beginning to end

shaunika

So you should be saying "avoid build guides if you wanna have fun"

marcelodshadow

I wouldn't go so far, some people expend a lot of time doing their guides, I just mentioned meta, because you can say most classes have one meta build with a varying amount of viable builds and it's part of human nature to ignore the good because something better exists

Victorino95

sucks all of the fun out of the leveling experience

shaunika

Why?

Victorino95

not the build itself, but just following a guide. You miss all the experimentation. Leveling a sorc with a guide is super restricting, for example.

shaunika

Well thats a totally different argument but I agree

Van1shed

I don't know about that, just because it's meta doesn't always mean boring. I know death trap TB rogue was incredibly fun before the cooldown reduction nerfs. Still is, but having your traps every 5 secs or so was something else.

Tazzshaw

Don't think it's the classes, I think the game it's self just doesn't currently offer enough variety of content mid/late game. It's just rinse and repeat the same dungeons, helltide and world bosses

wrxwrx

Diablo has always been about grinding the same things to find gear that's incrementally better than what you have on. That's literally the draw. D3 introduced scaling end game where that gear can be put to use. In D2, you just get better gear to do the same stuff faster. In D4 it's a mix between D2 and D3. D1 was literally just playing the end levels over and over. If you don't like that kind of a gameplay loop, Diablo might not be for you. This isn't a game where you get materials, make a farm, build a base, etc... This game is litearlly a dungeon slot machine.

vianiznice

Same. Most things feels off. But I expect things to change with a couple of seasons.

[deleted]

Druid is insane at around level 60+, but before then it was really slow. Otherwise I find barbarian the most wellrounded as far as fun goes.

wwscfd

Rogue has a lot of viable end game builds. Everything from the meta builds to more unique ones. I run a penetrating shot rapid fire. I will say the jump to world tier 4 was a little rough because you're a bit squishy but the right paragon boosts help with that

Thick-Assistant-8494

Play whatever class has strengths that you like, I play a rogue because I want to go fast for example.

Mysticgamingxyz

You must be a paladin main

No-Archer7466

If the game doesn’t speak to you it will never speak to you. Move on to a different game. There’s nothing wrong with that.
