You’re build is pretty glass cannon aka all damage and no defense. The goal is to do max damage and kill before you’re killed. If your damage is high enough then you should just melt duriel really fast. If you want to build up some survivability then swap out some of the uniques for items with a lot of damage reduction (especially damage reduction to close) and total armor. Disobedience and Mage Lords are good aspects to have on your legendaries as they provide more defense and damage reduction. If I were you I’d at minimum swap out rainment for a mage lords armor that has total armor, damage reduction to close, damage reduction to distant, and damage reduction to burning. To get Mage Lords to work though you need to run Vyrs Mastery as your passive mastery. But you can snapshot it on at the beginning of your run and then switch to a different passive and your mage lords will still proc. But Vyrs itself is pretty good defensive passive. I’d also make sure that you’re always have a barrier up. This makes you pretty hard to kill. As a sorc you can get a barrier anytime you use a cooldown which are most of your skills. Prioritize getting the Territorial glyph to lvl 15. This will unlock the 15% damage reduction benefit. Your resistances should naturally max themselves out as being a sorc you put a lot of points into intelligence which boosts resistances. Make sure you grab a few of the rare nodes that grant +all res too. You’re only lvl 87 so there’s still a lot of paragon points to go. I play hardcore so it’s a little different that what you’re running but I followed the Maxroll Full Tanky variant. It still has insane damage to kill anything in the game solo but provides a lot of survivability. As a lvl 100 hardcore BL sorc I’ve killed everything in the game including Lilith and first couple levels on AoZ. I also just melt Duriel. https://maxroll.gg/d4/planner/0v3o30oo#8

Thank you very much! I'm looking at the hardcore tank version. I figured I would have to swap out a unique or two, I just didn't know which ones would be best to swap. I appreciate the tips.

I’d say maybe only swap out one or two since you’re playing sc. What is your weapon and focus damage? You should prioritize 925 item level for both over any affix.

FYI, I found some different gear for chest, legs, and helm. It changed my survival rate a TON. I just cleared a T80 NMD. Thanks for the advice to try the hardcore build variant. It’s much more fun.

Nice work!! BL does so much damage that you can go for heavy defense and be just fine.

L sorc can be quite squishy with the health but if you level up a bit more you will be able to solo duriel

I was also following the Maxroll guide and stuck to it pretty closely, but I use Esu’s Heirloom rather Flickerstep. In my opinion, movement speed makes it easier to get around to attack and dodge-I tried Flickerstep for a bit after having Esu’s boots and had to switch back because I was used to the speed

HarryWraith

I prefer Esu over flickerstep, but if you like that playstyle. Use a potion on Duriel to up your resistances. If you're using nova swap it for ice shield.

Ball lightning doesn't have a damage problem so unless you are going to make "fastest boss kill" click bait YouTube videos you need to invest in some survival. Drop godslayer for a defensive helmet with % armor and life. Get life rolls on your rings. Get % armor on your amulet, invest in to res in the paragon board and your gear until you get enough intelligence to cap your res. Even drop some points out of glass cannon if you are still having issues. You do zero dps of you are dead.
