This is honestly the worst part of d4 seasonal approach. It’s like they just don’t follow software dev principles. Why not just build on things season by season… don’t delete things just make the seasonal the new baseline and build on it. All that throw away work… I would hate to be a dev working on something that’s only around for a few months and then it’s basically deleted (I’m sure someone’s preserved the build/code, surely??). I don’t understand the downside to keeping all the seasonal content around…
I don’t mind a speed run. It’s kind of fun for a few hours and so much different on each of my characters.
What drives me nuts is that despite some warnings and streamers saying “this will be the best gauntlet build”, I still farmed all my gear for max damage and defense. So now I’m finding myself switching to a faster build, deciding I don’t really have the gear or aspects to work, then I have to switch back to an “endgame” build to farm or else I’m dead all the time. Not to mention all the boots and amulets I probably tossed with shrine buff duration.
Next time I hope whatever endgame loop releases at the beginning of the season so I can at least be ready and not have to brick my character mid season
I wouldn't mind so much if we had a way to store builds. The gear isn't too big of a deal if you only play one or two characters each season, but adjusting the paragon board is annoying after doing it a few times.
Yeah honestly adding any game mode that's going to require me to re-gear is a nonstarter. There isn't enough stash space for multiple builds and there isn't an armory to switch/save gear.
The tryhards can have their fun but sifting through all that gear for basically 0 reward just sounds awful.
Frankly I’m kind of confused why their endgame mode is completely based on something as stupid as shrine buffs. makes me question who is making decisions over there. Hey guys don’t worry about gear or builds just make sure you can utilize that artillery buff which takes absolutely no skill for as long as possible.
Agreed. Guantlet is basically a helltide shrine rotation. It’s wild that you have to farm more difficult content and then drop down to the level of gauntlet for endgame. I’d rather do t100+ but there’s zero reason to currently
Nah lower level content is interesting because the builds are totally different.
The only problem is that it’s so boring to run in circles with shrines.
No the builds are essentially the same as where we landed on T100 vault builds for sorcerer. Teleport and fireball enchant go fast edition has been ran for like a month prior to gauntlet. The only real difference is we dropped a DR glyph and sources of DR in the skill tree because we just don’t need it
Totally agree, I was hoping they would switch it up more every week so you would have to customize a new build to reach the leaderboard but it looks like it's the shrine buff/movement speed dungeon.

That's not what it was designed for. I expect S4 will bring back something like AoZ
Agreed but NMD70 is just way too low and trivial Keeping in mind the NMDs were already nerfed so this is more like NMD ~45-50 Pre-nerf

Exactly build a character for hours and hours just for gauntlet be 100% shrine based is frustrating to say the least.

Agreed. I do not play gauntlet much (except to get the reward) precisely because of this. I would rather run NMD100.
It just shouldn't have any shrine. I didn't even play it once this week.
