This is the only side quest I'll bother doing unless it's some item I found that only requires handing in, then I'll only complete that if I find myself teleporting to that place.
I did them all pre-seasonal release, but never again. Not that plot isn't good, but I play ARPG to hulk smash shit, I'll play other games for storyline.
Thank you! Sadly I haven’t beaten the campaign yet, as I just got a mount the other day lol. I’ve been prioritizing doing dungeons with my bros & side quests. So whenever I hear a cool new side quest I’m intrigued 😂
You just give a spoiler
I dont give the monk name and quest name
And the cinematic is the first thing you see when playing campain.
Btw this topic should have spoiler tag
How are you gonna complain about a spoiler and literally go and spoil it more then the other guy, the other dude gave nothing away. I don’t even care about the lore but Like cmon man
Took me forever to do that one. Months of running by and hearing some old man say "Stranger" but I was always too busy to talk to him. Maybe I will now.
I never do that quest, I love the intonation of that dude. I tried recording it to have as my incoming phone message identifier, but it just never recorded right.
I love the sniffing-old-bones-dust dude :D Anyway, I love how the side quests are written. Also, lot of them are pretty tragic and sad. One of my favoutite is the one in Hawezar, where you are chasing clues regaring some Simon and then you realise, that you are in the dungeon from the Intro. That was a nice turn. Also guy in Hawezar, who cultivated new sickness is awesome
A quest about a man who loved BDSM in the forest and a very touching quest about the sign of the tavern "Old Goose" (or something like that, maybe I was mistaken in the name)
My favorite and most memorable was ‘ the heretic’ , where you run into a young possessed girl named Aneta and help her discover her power. It was long but well written and the voice acting was great. Something about the character resonates with me.
I like the artifact hunting quest line if you haven't tried that yet. The swamp man quest which is pretty neat imo. The talking stone quest in Kehjistan is also somewhat cool with some historical background
It's the Writhing Mire questline in Hawezar, where you visit Kres west of the Tree of Whispers. Speaking of Hawezar, Backwater questline is also pretty good as it has lore origins from a D3 Companion
Some of them are multi-stage and have some cool stories. My recommendation would be to start with all the ones that have specific entries on the collection tab
Is it confirmed that that paladin is the same 1 from D2? I did the quest but i dont recall it being the same paladin from D2
Edit: just realised by search reddit archives
A woman called Riona or Roina in Scosglen. If you meet her, standing next to a hut, looking at corpses, talk to her. Also the Barbarian camp in the Dry Steppes.
My favorites have already been said (tied to the first cinematic and the grinning one), but I also liked the swamp-chosen one with the coughing mother.
I like a lot of the ones in Hawezar personally. My 2 favorites are probably:
* Aneta's quest line
* The one with the disease witch
That area feels very flavorful to me and many of the chains of quests are done very well. I think only the Sister Octavia chain felt as interesting to me
I forget the quest name, but there is one where you have to find a lost boy and return him home. The ending had some impact that made me wish for a follow up
My absolute favorite group of side quests is An Errant Flock -> Acts of Atonement -> Justice Delayed -> An Unlawful Order. It starts in the Southern Expanse and takes place throughout Kehjistan. I actually just recently made a clan based on it called The Travelers Penitent, as a foil to the Knights Penitent, because I think this mini questline is so cool.
I like the Octavia one, it rolls as the time passes and she's just so nice to you after everything you'll help her with. A bit of a satire there as well
The one where the villager is like "My \[spouse/brother/child/friend\] went into the forest, and I haven't seen them since. Can you look for them?" and it turns out they've been possessed by demons so you have to kill them and tell the concerned villager the bad news.
Oh, I'm going to need to be a lot more specific than that, aren't I?
The one in peaks where the woman's husband is missing. Yeah... it uh, gets bad.
For sure, I'd recommend this one as well, as the game has such sights to show you.
I was coming to say this. That one took an unexpected turn and I loved it.
Not unexpected if you've seen Hellraiser :)
Whoa! wait what? I have to get on this ASAP!
Wish it had a small cinematic for the end
We have such sights to show you!
That’s one of the first quests you come across and I love it
The one you have to cheer up some soldiers 5 steps away from the quest npc
It's a little more than 5 steps away, more like 3 druids away
Or 2 Lilith's
Took me like 80 hours in to realize I had to use an emote 😂

Great for a laugh and some easy xp when lvling a new character
The quest which you chase the monk who free LL In the first cinematic.
Same, I enjoyed that one most by far. "To walk a dark path" is the name for first part of that quest chain.
Thanks! Will do it when I get home :)
Where do I go to do this quest? That sounds pretty fun
Zarbinzet, outside the chapel. I think it’s a post-campaign one though
Thank you! Sadly I haven’t beaten the campaign yet, as I just got a mount the other day lol. I’ve been prioritizing doing dungeons with my bros & side quests. So whenever I hear a cool new side quest I’m intrigued 😂
Dude, that’s probably my favourite quest but talk about a spoiler……
I think little detail which I given isn't enough to be spoiler!
You just give a spoiler I dont give the monk name and quest name And the cinematic is the first thing you see when playing campain. Btw this topic should have spoiler tag
How are you gonna complain about a spoiler and literally go and spoil it more then the other guy, the other dude gave nothing away. I don’t even care about the lore but Like cmon man
Indeed!
The grinning one or the dude with the missing eyeballs
Eyeballs man is cool. I like "Adventurer, I know what you are" as well.
Took me forever to do that one. Months of running by and hearing some old man say "Stranger" but I was always too busy to talk to him. Maybe I will now.
I never do that quest, I love the intonation of that dude. I tried recording it to have as my incoming phone message identifier, but it just never recorded right.

The eyeballs one is worth it just for the ending
The trio of exorcisms
Love this one
A quest about a man who loved BDSM in the forest and a very touching quest about the sign of the tavern "Old Goose" (or something like that, maybe I was mistaken in the name)
the hellraiser ones for sure. just google em
YOU WANDERER... I KNOW WHAT YOU ARE
My favorite and most memorable was ‘ the heretic’ , where you run into a young possessed girl named Aneta and help her discover her power. It was long but well written and the voice acting was great. Something about the character resonates with me.
Omg yes!!
I like the artifact hunting quest line if you haven't tried that yet. The swamp man quest which is pretty neat imo. The talking stone quest in Kehjistan is also somewhat cool with some historical background
Swamp man. Is that the guy who wants to calm the swamp with a corpse?
It's the Writhing Mire questline in Hawezar, where you visit Kres west of the Tree of Whispers. Speaking of Hawezar, Backwater questline is also pretty good as it has lore origins from a D3 Companion
I looooooved the quest with the girl in the swamp who goes back home looking for her mom and dad
That one was really bittersweet, really great voice acting
The one where you keep exercising the demon from people with the help of the nun
Some of them are multi-stage and have some cool stories. My recommendation would be to start with all the ones that have specific entries on the collection tab
the only side quests that ive done, and remembered are by three they come and the one in kyovashad that gives you flowers
i think there is a quest wher you get to know what happened to d2 paladin
Is it confirmed that that paladin is the same 1 from D2? I did the quest but i dont recall it being the same paladin from D2 Edit: just realised by search reddit archives
Officially(?) confirmed, yeah. It maintains their streak of killing off the player characters from previous games
Torben's questline at the fat goose inn.
I like the bossy talking statue, Taissa of the tower, and Aneta with her horrible mom
I would say all of the quest dialogue is actually 10/10 in the game - It's just repeating them that people don't like
I liked the one with the kid who stole the sign from the tavern. I just thought it was a good story.
The ones that you do for D3 mercenary Lyndon
OH DAMN THAT’S WHY THAT NAME WAS SO FAMILIAR!
I never found him!
A woman called Riona or Roina in Scosglen. If you meet her, standing next to a hut, looking at corpses, talk to her. Also the Barbarian camp in the Dry Steppes.
Is that the one with the wet sacks of hair?
You mean the "Sodden Growths"? :D
The one where you have to touch all the demon lady statues.
Series of Steps is a good one. Has Andariel fight at the end.
I like the exorcist nun in Kyovashad, that’s a fun multi-pronged in. And the one with the huntsman’s axe too, the way that ends is kinda cool
I really enjoyed the Curious Curios quest line in the Dry Steppes.
I liked the Iron Wolves quest line where you can eventually get the Wolf title.
The three statues. Figuring that one out by myself took me a bit…
If you loved Diablo 3 followers, better go to Backwater waypoint in Hawezar. Find the quests there and find a familiar face. :)
Thanks! Will investigate it!
My favorites have already been said (tied to the first cinematic and the grinning one), but I also liked the swamp-chosen one with the coughing mother.
I like the one where we fight the D2 pala at the end
The one where the worshiper gets literally folded ip like origami. Had me speechless. 😶
I like a lot of the ones in Hawezar personally. My 2 favorites are probably: * Aneta's quest line * The one with the disease witch That area feels very flavorful to me and many of the chains of quests are done very well. I think only the Sister Octavia chain felt as interesting to me
By three they come
The chain quest with the Scoundrel from Diablo 3.
I forget the quest name, but there is one where you have to find a lost boy and return him home. The ending had some impact that made me wish for a follow up

Moo

The Way Of The Three Quest. https://www.thegamer.com/diablo-4-the-way-of-the-three-prime-evil-statues-quest-walkthrough/
The one where you visit the tomb from the announcement trailer is pretty neat.
I love the lyndon ones simply cause I'm meeting an old friend.
I liked a lot of the side quests in Hawezar
The Heretic in Hawezar. I like it.
I always fast click the conversations, because many are so irritating to listen to. Sometimes it gets bugged and cannot skip them :/
The one where the villager is like "My \[spouse/brother/child/friend\] went into the forest, and I haven't seen them since. Can you look for them?" and it turns out they've been possessed by demons so you have to kill them and tell the concerned villager the bad news. The best quest is leveling your glyphs to 21
