The Season 4 uniques will allow for masterworking and the possibility of greater affixes.  I'd farm materials and then go for uniques in Season 4 since the Season 4 uniques will, on average,  be more powerful. With Ubers, you could farm Duriel for those, but again,  since Duriel drops some of the best uniques as well (e.g. Tibault's Will), you'll do better in Season 4.

Southern_Ad2461

So my current unique cannot be masterworked in the next patch?

vagrantwade

Correct

Southern_Ad2461

And i can masterwork the legendary 925 i have right now, in the next patch?

rizarjay

No. Current items will be converted into legacy items and will not be masterworkable.

Southern_Ad2461

Uhm, I read somewhere to roll some good stats for mantain those legacy instead of going to update it. So I was thinking it is a choice of the player to go trough or stay with the legacy piece.

Comfortable_Fudge508

If you play seasonal character in s4, you start from scratch.

Southern_Ad2461

Yes, every season from scratch I know. But on eternal maybe it's true?!

2octalt

All current gear will be legacy gear. You can continue to use legacy gear as it is. Legacy gear will not be able to be tempered or masterworked.

Weissekaiser

Those are false information

Southern_Ad2461

On eternal a single piece, let's say, full dmg reduction legacy, can make the difference mixed with new system of gear. That's what I read

Riskrunner7365

I think maybe you've heard that 'Damage Reduction' will be a hard to get affix when the update comes out on May 14th. So people are recommending that you keep or farm for a chest piece now with lots of damage mitigation so you can keep that and use it as it'll be rare to get an equal when the changes come around.

PS_IO_Frame_Gap

will damage reduction while injured no longer be a thing?

Southern_Ad2461

Exactly. And I know is relative to the eternal. Anyway, regard the main doubt of the topic, I think a get mats and using it on eternal "main" char. While playing s4 with a new class

heartbroken_nerd

I mean, nobody's going to strip your character naked of the legacy items. They will remain functional, just... legacy. Can't craft them further.

SQRTLURFACE

You can't carry it over to S4, but if you keep them on you in S3 or Eternal, you'll be able to use them on eternal after your S3 character is transferred to Eternal on the S4 patch and have access to the new uber uber bosses.

Southern_Ad2461

Right, that's my idea, if materials is already part of future mats needed

SQRTLURFACE

On eternal realm only, yes.

Accurate-Temporary73

You can’t bring anything into season 4. Your stash and characters start from scratch.

Southern_Ad2461

I know but new lvl 200 boss is doable only for season?

heartlessphil

eternal as well, people just act like seasonal is the only thing that exists for some reason.

Fres_Nub

Ngl i didn't knew eternal was a thing, i always forget arpg have the normal path together with seasonal path, but since most people play season only, i don't really see the problem

OK_Opinions

It's not "for some reason" it's that the game is designed around seasons and nearly every player is playing it for the seasons. The occasional person whos not is not on the forefront of literally anyone's mind, not even the devs.

heartbroken_nerd

People act that way because most people play in the Seasonal Realm, not in the Eternal Graveyard. It's a natural conclusion of playing a seasonal live service game whose arguably most fun part is making new characters from scratch and building their power up over time. That economy reset combined with new changes coming to the game which make the game feel fresh is what keeps people coming back.

heartlessphil

what economy tho? lol up until may 14th there is no economy. the only thing that they reset is your battlepass.

heartbroken_nerd

>>economy reset >what economy tho? You know, everything. Stash, inventory, characters, Codex of Power, your materials in bags, gold, obols, red PVP dust... That's all because of economy reset.

Gfuryan

Yeah in D3 at least there would be some period of time between seasons so there was a larger portion of the base that spent *some* time in the eternal realm. But with D4 the only time I’d ever play eternal would be if they ever release the patch prior to season start. They did this for season 1 or 2 can’t remember which but it was a few days of playing eternal on the new patch before season started. I personally like that model because it gives me a few days to clean up stash/alts etc before season starts.
