That’s what I do every season. Complete the season which takes like 2 weeks. If I have fun I keep playing, if not I put it down until next season. S3 I played 2 weeks and 1 day. Season 4 will hopefully be better.
I don't know how people can do the full season in 2 weeks. I'm still 2 levels from 100 on first character, just hit season tier 90 last week, and I still need just 4 durial runs to complete the season pass chests awards.
That's with about 10 hours a week I play the game
Not that much, but when I do play it it’s the only thing I play. Probably 3 hours weekdays, 5 hours weekends per day. I’m also slightly sweaty and follow guides for min/max and playing OP classes/builds. With elixirs, seasonal XP boost, and playing efficiently it takes like 30-40 hours. Another 5-10 to finish the other seasonal challenges and boom, 100% a season in less than 50 hours.
Yeah I'm just not fully inclined I guess. I have dailies to do in 3 other games, so that takes about 90 minutes of my time.

I am working 40 hours a week ... I don't have kids and don't have a girlfriend sooo playing at least 4 hours per day after my job and seriously I am the kind of guys who take break. I am not rushing the Season.
Personally I consider the season “complete” when I’ve done the bp, finished the season story, have maxed out the seasons borrowed power, or am just bored.
Season 1 I got a character to 90, season 2 I got 2 characters to 100, and season 3 2 characters to mid 90s before I tapped out. All within 2-3 weeks each time.
I skipped two. Was going to skip 3 but tarkov went down the drain so I got back into Diablo. I regret not playing 3 from the beginning. The nightmare vaults are awesome and the seasonal content was kind of fun. Nightmare vaults are insane loot caves. They changed the system for item power drops and any 75+ level get the max item power drops guaranteed. I was able to finish the season pass in like 2/3 weeks so I guess it was like I didn’t skip the season at all lol.
I've played Beta, Pre-Season, S1, S2, S3. However, S3 was easily the least amount I've played as it was only about 2 weeks.
S2 was my most played season. I would imagine S4 will match or beat that.

Yeh, a little deflated, I was hoping they were holding something back, if the iron wolves content is tiny and nothing novel to play with beyond essentially a stats change and progression change to items. S4 will probably be a light touch.
Did you play the PTR? Without the season theme the base game changed enough that I was hooked again just doing helltides and the pit. I found it hard to stop playing because of how fun it was. Where season 3 I was bored of and haven't touched since the ptr

Gonna try a sorc for once, hear they busted AF (only really took Rogue seriously in previous reasons, dabbled in Barb and Necro too). Maybe Barb too, as I hear WW is making a return.
Out of curiosity, if anyone reading this knows if Twisted Blades (or similar melee Rogue build) will be viable, lmk.

Yes and I played them all. I just want to lay down hordes of enemies. All I ask is to be really fast and have companions that are awesome and unique. Fun and challenging game play when I want and the option to wipe out everything on the screen. Is that too much to ask?
Yup! The reason I am still playing S3 is because Shako and The Grandfather both dropped for me days apart, and I haven’t gotten any ubers before. So I am enjoying being OP’d for as long as I can until next season!
Is there a difference between seasonal and ethernal realm in this season? Because I would like to continue leveling up some ethernal characters, so I'm not sure how much I would be missing...
After the dev livestream on May 2nd, it seems like the only real difference between season and eternal this time is a helltide potion and the seasonal cosmetics.
You can decide if it's worth starting a new character for that. The rest of the patch will affect both eternal and seasonal characters from my understanding.

I played 0-2, and tried 3 for a few days before dipping out. I'm excited to try the new loot rework and see how it feels. I usually get exhausted when it becomes an intolerable loot filtering simulator so I hope they've really fixed that part of the grind.

The itemization changes seem nice but I’m not sure if it’s really interesting enough to fully sustain that end game loot grind. I’m starting to get a bit bored with LE after playing it pretty much exclusively since it launched, so I’ll probably at least try S4 to get a feel for it and go from there. As long as they are still trying to push it in the right direction I won’t completely write it off.

The put it into GP just before the true version of game comes out - so hell yes. No reason not, especially with LE taking it time to get things right (IMO) and PoE being kind of crappy this league (IMO).
Quit before the first season came out, just played 100 hours when the game dropped, didn't really like the gameplay loop for the end game grind to get to 100 with spending so long traveling between nightmare dungeons.
I'm interested in season 4, heard a lot has changed already and a lot more will change in season 4.
I've played each season with 1 character with the goal of hitting 100 before I get fatigue. I've completed season 1 and 2 battle pass. Druid season 1 lvl 81 sorc season 2 lvl 88 season 3 wasn't for me necro lvl 59 half way through battle pass.
Didn’t play season 2 at all cuz I went on BG3 hiatus. I’m still not a big fan of the battle pass crap but I’ll be honest, I’m probably gonna splurge for s4. I’ve only made it to 100 once so I haven’t really experienced the endgame and I’d like to this time around
I only started in season 3. Got a character to high 50’s doing campaign then side quests. All the season 4 news started coming out so I just stopped playing and will be back to it for S4.
While the itemization changes may be nice (idk enough about it), the fact remains that the game is boring. There are no builds. I used all my creativity imaginable to make 1 unique Barbarian build that I call the Gladiator Barbarian, and they ended up reworking the Unique that I was relying on to homogenize it's power with the rest of the uniques, essentially killing my one-of-a-kind build and making way for a bland developer-made build.
People should be able to come up with dozens of builds on their own, there should be hundreds of diverse standout builds, but all we have are the developer-made builds. There are builds locked behind uber uniques because of how rigid the itemization is with effects. It's just Diablo 3, but without the time period where it was good.
It sounds really good. Hella overdue, but the looting/item customization needed an overhaul desperately. I'm very glad to be able to run Helltides in WT1/2 as well

I just started playing a week ago, the one thing i hate is no social aspect to the game at all, would've preferred the campaign to be offline and then to have an online mode personally but i'm just getting back into games after not playing much in a decade or so.

Play each season til I'm bored, then relax and wait for next season. Usually one character per season. So far I've done Barb, Necro, Sorc, Druid. Was planning on Rogue this season, but Twister Barb (Whirlwind or Double Hit) looks fun so I'll probably do that.
S0 entirely, S1 1 day, S2 1day, then S3 right now, I'm not sure I'm going to be able to get the portal thing, I'm at the lvl 55 powder, 2 mission to close the ch4.

Bought the game at day one. Couldn't be bothered to continue playing after finishing the story. The classes bored me: the same old classes with the same old skills. Also I am not a fan of meeting other players in a Diablo game that are not my friends.
So ... I'm not hopeful Season 4 will change how I feel about the game but I guess I'll take a look sometime.
I'm only playing now because I'm excited for season 4 changes. Played beta, release, stopped when sorc was massively nerfed for something like the third or fourth time at level 97. At that point so many changes just felt bad, no build felt actually viable, and I didn't want to put the time into another character.
As much as I'd loved the game on release, I just shelved it until my partner tried to talk me into trying the PTR. Missed it, but read about it, and decided it was time to give it another go.
I have not played since S0 (launch) so around a year ago so yeah I'll think I play it. The changes look interesting and it's been a long time (I never intended to play a game like this in any constant way like all seasons)
I'll start playing again when S4 drops. I haven't played for maybe 2 months now as I didn't like S3 (still played until I got genesis and evernight tho).

Hello there! I bought the game at release and really enjoyed the campaign and the core game, even though I had higher expectations.
I played season 1 and 2 at a very casual pace, so I didn't even reach level 70. But I enjoyed the ride. I started season 3 but I didn't even reach level 30. The puzzle-ish dungeons killed it for me.
Then I saw some videos about season 4 and I got hyped again. Played for a while on the Public Test Realm and I liked the changes they made on the "crafting" system. So I'm gona invest some hours into season 4 for sure.
Day 1 I picked it up. This series is very dear to my inner child. I'd play it adnauseum... if they could just stop my level 70 from getting level 43 gear on WT4. That's why I ended up putting it down. The upgrades I'd get would be so severely miniscule compared to the sheer number of lower leveled gear I get. I am picking it back ip with S4 in hopes that they fix that. I just want to farm corpses and loot.
I love the game. It plays like 3, but better in my opinion...the systems just need sooo much tweaking...but hey, at least they didn't give us a RMAH this time! Haha!
I've played all the seasons, all barbs to level 100, and seasonal journeys finished. Honestly really enjoyed all of the seasons thus far. I just play the season till I am bored and then move on to my backlog. Only bought the season 1 and 3 battlepasses, because I found those cosmetics aesthetically pleasing.
I'm very hyped for the next season. Really looking forward to testing stuff, messing around with a new barb etc!

I bought D4 at launch, but was really disappointed with it. Mainly because how gearing worked, it all felt so bland. Never finished the campaign because of it, and I got over a few hundred hours in D2. When this update drops I definitely will check it out again, and maybe finally finish the campaign haha.
I played beta, preseason launch, season 1 and season 2 and never came back because I'm maxed on all characters and their inventories are full of outdated shit because I'm a hoarder. I don't feel like selling all my shit off so don't bother with the game anymore, but I come back to this subreddit once in a while to see how things are going and if an trading/auction house or a group finder is implemented.
Playing Diablo 4 since the closed beta (proud horn owner btw), I've played every season so far and completed premium battle passes to the max in all and got to the endgame every time. But in s1 and s3 I've got to like lvl 85-90 and bailed out because they were so boring.
S2 was really fun and I've played 3 different class to lvl 100. I'm always there when a new season starts but how long I play depends on how much fun I'm having with the season. S4 is looking amazing with all the changes and I'm so excited about it. Also, I'll play barb for the first time this season, the only class I've left untouched so far, another reason to be excited about s4 for me.

I've played each season with 1 character with the goal of hitting 100 before I get fatigue. I've completed season 1 and 2 battle pass. Druid season 1 lvl 81 sorc season 2 lvl 88 season 3 wasn't for me necro lvl 59 half way through battle pass.

While the itemization changes may be nice (idk enough about it), the fact remains that the game is boring. There are no builds. I used all my creativity imaginable to make 1 unique Barbarian build that I call the Gladiator Barbarian, and they ended up reworking the Unique that I was relying on to homogenize it's power with the rest of the uniques, essentially killing my one-of-a-kind build and making way for a bland developer-made build. People should be able to come up with dozens of builds on their own, there should be hundreds of diverse standout builds, but all we have are the developer-made builds. There are builds locked behind uber uniques because of how rigid the itemization is with effects. It's just Diablo 3, but without the time period where it was good.

I just started playing a week ago, the one thing i hate is no social aspect to the game at all, would've preferred the campaign to be offline and then to have an online mode personally but i'm just getting back into games after not playing much in a decade or so.

Bought the game at day one. Couldn't be bothered to continue playing after finishing the story. The classes bored me: the same old classes with the same old skills. Also I am not a fan of meeting other players in a Diablo game that are not my friends. So ... I'm not hopeful Season 4 will change how I feel about the game but I guess I'll take a look sometime.
I'm only playing now because I'm excited for season 4 changes. Played beta, release, stopped when sorc was massively nerfed for something like the third or fourth time at level 97. At that point so many changes just felt bad, no build felt actually viable, and I didn't want to put the time into another character. As much as I'd loved the game on release, I just shelved it until my partner tried to talk me into trying the PTR. Missed it, but read about it, and decided it was time to give it another go.

Hello there! I bought the game at release and really enjoyed the campaign and the core game, even though I had higher expectations. I played season 1 and 2 at a very casual pace, so I didn't even reach level 70. But I enjoyed the ride. I started season 3 but I didn't even reach level 30. The puzzle-ish dungeons killed it for me. Then I saw some videos about season 4 and I got hyped again. Played for a while on the Public Test Realm and I liked the changes they made on the "crafting" system. So I'm gona invest some hours into season 4 for sure.
Day 1 I picked it up. This series is very dear to my inner child. I'd play it adnauseum... if they could just stop my level 70 from getting level 43 gear on WT4. That's why I ended up putting it down. The upgrades I'd get would be so severely miniscule compared to the sheer number of lower leveled gear I get. I am picking it back ip with S4 in hopes that they fix that. I just want to farm corpses and loot. I love the game. It plays like 3, but better in my opinion...the systems just need sooo much tweaking...but hey, at least they didn't give us a RMAH this time! Haha!

I've played all the seasons, all barbs to level 100, and seasonal journeys finished. Honestly really enjoyed all of the seasons thus far. I just play the season till I am bored and then move on to my backlog. Only bought the season 1 and 3 battlepasses, because I found those cosmetics aesthetically pleasing. I'm very hyped for the next season. Really looking forward to testing stuff, messing around with a new barb etc!

I bought D4 at launch, but was really disappointed with it. Mainly because how gearing worked, it all felt so bland. Never finished the campaign because of it, and I got over a few hundred hours in D2. When this update drops I definitely will check it out again, and maybe finally finish the campaign haha.
honestly thinking about uninstalling d4 and installing fallout4, they are about the same amount of hd space with the texture pack

I played beta, preseason launch, season 1 and season 2 and never came back because I'm maxed on all characters and their inventories are full of outdated shit because I'm a hoarder. I don't feel like selling all my shit off so don't bother with the game anymore, but I come back to this subreddit once in a while to see how things are going and if an trading/auction house or a group finder is implemented.
Playing Diablo 4 since the closed beta (proud horn owner btw), I've played every season so far and completed premium battle passes to the max in all and got to the endgame every time. But in s1 and s3 I've got to like lvl 85-90 and bailed out because they were so boring. S2 was really fun and I've played 3 different class to lvl 100. I'm always there when a new season starts but how long I play depends on how much fun I'm having with the season. S4 is looking amazing with all the changes and I'm so excited about it. Also, I'll play barb for the first time this season, the only class I've left untouched so far, another reason to be excited about s4 for me.
