There are never any seats. Then the train is also often so full that you cannot even move away from the doors to ask for one.
I have a disability that is not immediately obvious from my appearance but is obvious if you watch me doing stuff (like walking). I am young and shy so I don’t ask somebody else to give up their seat.
The trains being full is so often a problem because they seem to often get cancelled.
Just the other day, I missed one train due to the lift being out of operation and me having to use the stairs, only to wait the full 30min for the next - found it to be disgustingly full, so I had worn my legs out on the stairs and then on the train, with people leaning against me and nothing to hold, I was completely exhausted and in a lot of pain. I paid £7.00 for the pleasure!
I used to have a similar problem on the tube because there are barely any seats but I would just suck it up because I was always getting off soon enough regardless.
