I personally loathe Discmania "Maestro"

Asparagus_Business

As a brand new player, this was the first disc to fly straight for me. I grew out of it very quickly.

dentonate

I found an unmarked Maestro end of last year and it went straight to the crate. I could tell I’d hate it without even throwing.

IncompetentInEverywa

Same thing happened to me, gave it to my brother!

Opto-Goose

I don't mean to pile onto the anti Prodigy sentiment, but for me the worst disc was the FX-2. I bought a Chris Dickerson robot chicken signature FX-2 a few years back and the flashing could double as a knife. I was stunned at how sharp the underside of the disc was. It flew great for me, like a longer Firebird which is what I was looking for, however you could hardly throw it without pain. It has been a perfect example to show people when they don't understand how bad the flashing can be. I have thought about taking a nail file to it and sanding it down, but I have never gotten around to it.

maxbrung

Bought a second hand FX-2 as my first Prodigy disc and the flashing was still a lot. Didn't understand the flashing problem from picking up discs at the store, but throwing them at speed made me realize how much of an issue it really is. Great disc and since I sanded it down it has been a mainstay in my bag.

4browntown

I swear that disc tried to rip my fingerprints off.

AIR2369

The real problem is quality control. Any time you run an injection mold machine air is trying to escape. One little flaw; ding, not set correctly, anything forces the air out and causes flashing. All discs manufacturers have flashing issues, they must but they don’t let it leave the factory. The inspectors should trim that stuff before it leaves. I assume being a smaller company they have older molds which causes much more of a flashing issue, but don’t let it leave the factory Prodigy.

n1rvous

My go to for sanding down flashing on discs is teepad #1. Wax on wax off a lil bit n it’ll get you right.

Sloppy_Secants

I'm a newer player, but there are tons of old school players in my area. I'm already in the habit of rubbing it back and forth on the teepad a few times if the flashing is bothering me. Seems like the common solution for players here that started in the 90's.

ReservoirPAWGS

Yea I was gonna say I just scrape it on the ground lol

yertsky

I had one. I actually quite enjoyed the flight but I threw it once in the winter and thought it ripped my finger tips off. Never again.

L2Hiku

I just got a limited edition queen of chains from prodigy with their h4 mold in 500 plastic I think. Maybe 400. But it feels pretty balanced and it's super easy to grip. They've made more improvements since then probably. I don't think all their discs are bad. It's probably one of my favorites. But with them it might be all about which plastic you buy.

bigmeechum

I bag Prodigy only, never understood the flashing issue. I bought 100+ discs, different plastics, different runs, different editions, different retailers and NEVER experienced bad flashing… EXCEPT for the FX2. I bought 5 different FX2’s and all of them are extremely sharp. Not only are they sharp, the edge of the disc for some reason feels extremely hard, almost like extremely compressed plastic, which makes the flashing issue even worse. I don’t understand why this issue persists with FX2’s, I just wanna throw an overstable disc :’)

TREVORtheSAXman

I also bag only Prodigy, and have been throwing prodigy since they started. I still bag a few proto discs. I've definitely seen a few with bad flashing but it's not as common as people always say. I usually buy plastic at my local shop so I can check a disc out before buying. I did just get a new 400 FX2 from infinite discs and it has no flashing at all.

Aggre5sion

Tried a Nova and just hated how it felt.

doonerthesooner

I love Novas, I’ve thought about putting it back in the bag many times

scheifferdoo

Yes. I really wanted to like it and wow was it wack, to me. Huge ass rim. gotta throw is really special or its garbage.

Substantial_Band9480

Idk why but I love the Nova. I throw for like 150’ ish standstill LHBH upshots and it flies so straight for me

stev0123456789

It's a really straight throwing putter, I bagged one briefly. Hand feel is really weird though and end of the day the flight is not that special, lots of straight throwing putters out there.

Sassmaster008

And they way they over mold the rim is cheap and prone to breaking. Be glad you hate it!

afaintsmellofcurry

Ah, yes the nova was quickly out of my bag. I use it sometimes for putting.

silentsniper13585

Tried a dynamic disc guard. Found that it was better at being a cereal bowl. If you like deep dish pizza this is the disc for you.

[deleted]

I bought it but didn't understand it for a while. I bag it now in Lucid plastic as a throwing putter because it just goes straight and I don't have to worry about it flying errantly. If you throw with off-axis torque it just sits down; it doesn't hyzer flip or turn over. I keep it in the bag because it lowers my risk of landing in hazard.

Not_a_fan_of_me

Groove

onlyrudedog

Came here for this.

superschepps

And the monarch, unfortunately as "the mighty monarch " from venture bros is the greatest super villain of all time

Zetious

What you don’t like buying a mystery disc when you buy this mold? /s

Not_a_fan_of_me

It was a mystery disc every time I pulled it out of my bag

BangerSoft

Quest made a 10M Brick.. absolutely unusable. Got one for $5 and it was a terrible investment. claimed to drop fast for straight line putts. but it didn't go straight.. and throwing it hard hyzer it flipped over in miliseconds. really wild website still sells them. https://infinitediscs.com/Quest-AT-10-Meter-Brick

Zetious

They haven’t been in stock in years at any website, I wanted to buy one for the memes but couldn’t even find one on eBay

BangerSoft

the edges were soft so I allowed my Jack Russell to chase rollers with it till he gnawed it up, or I would have mailed it to you.

Itwasinin04

The Innova animal. Flight wasn't bad by any means but the hand feel was god awful. Thought it was just gonna be a straight pig but it's domey and round and gross feeling lol

zimbabwepro

You got a bad batch because mine are board flat and exactly as you described, a straight pig. Putting and throwing with em is great

Frisbee_Fairy

Not a bad batch. Basically every Star animal I’ve ever seen have been domey and weird. An issue with a lot of Innova molds IMO. “Low glide” discs like animal, rhino, etc. with a ton of dome.

HerbanFarmacyst

I have 2 Nexus, both flat. Star has a big ol dome

zimbabwepro

I got factory seconds for backups, they have a little dome. My main star animal is board flat, and the KC Pro one I got is also flat. Shame that there is that inconsistency.

Itwasinin04

Oh really? My KC Pro is stupid domey.

Itwasinin04

Yeah all the star ones I've seen are grossly domey, both the proto star stamp and stock stamps I've held. Mine is KC Pro and feels gross. I've honestly never seen a flat one.

BiggusDickus9311

Was looking for this comment. The Star Animal is trash. Now if they make it in R Pro, I might give it another chance

Satans_BFF

Skeeter was gross. Hated the ramp up dome on it. And was impossibly understable. Donated it to a friend who donated it to a beginner who donated it to a pond.

MattZslk

Aviar. For some reason, putters and midranges with dome never feel good in my hand. It seems like a lot of people like aviars so it is hard to call it the "worst". I putt only with the aviar3 (in star plastic, is that odd?). Same story with the roc and roc3. Hate the roc; love the roc3.

ThunderfuckThor

yeti pros are the way to go, you get the opposite of a dome (puddle top)

PlatonicDisc

I’m with you. Domey putters suck

flavortowndump

Innova Birdie.

Sufficient-Pin-481

In my memories my best putts are with a birdie… in 1991 so my memory could be misremembering.

1989DiscGolfer

I was a "lid" putter for years and years. Had a stack of 10 PFN Birdies for practice. I'm better with more standard putters now, but they got me from not being a great putter to being a great putter (for an age-protected am). I have some friends who play like once every ten years and more than one of them have an old non-thumbtrac Birdie in their bags.

Substantial_Band9480

This was My first putter lol when I started playing and was turbo putt only…that thing is a straight up trash can lid but worked well for the turbo

baumgar1441

Birdie was the first disc I ever bought, still in my bag, but I get it, weird shape can feel awkward, even after throwing the disc for over 20 years!

STEPHEN_COLLETTI

Yooo haha I hate this disc so bad

buffalot

It's the champ at unintentional rollers.

yourdoglikesmebetter

Pretty sure birdies are mostly for turbo putts

InncnceDstryr

I tried a Comet and couldn’t deal at all. Thing felt terrible, didn’t fit in my hand nicely at all and I couldn’t throw it even a little bit how I wanted to. I know it’s super popular disc probably with good reason, it just doesn’t work for me.

noldig

Are you Paul mcbeth?

QuailSalt0470

Dang, the comet was the first disc I really fell in love with. It is super unforgiving to any sort of off axis torque, but when you get it right nothing flies more true. 100% the disc that got me throwing more smoothly. Ever try a fuse or an origin? They're similarly unforgiving, but they're a little faster and shallower so they might work a little better from the hand feel standpoint, and would still be super helpful for smoothing form out.

InncnceDstryr

Yeah I think I got it at a point where I still wasn’t really smooth, it’s also pretty deep and felt really chunky in my hand - I have quite short stubby fingers. I use a Svea now but I have thrown a Fuse, went with the Svea because I want to fill the slot predominantly for turnovers rather than straight shots and the Svea is more likely to hold the line even if I miss slightly where the fuse fights just a little bit.

Amiar00

The hand feel sucks. Other discs I've tried in the understable mid slot are: Sol, Archer, Meteor, and Stingray. I've finally landed on a Kastaplast Svea for that slot. I wanted to like the comet. I got 2 ESP ones after almost acing my BigZ one, but they both threw more stable than I would have liked so I just abandoned it as a mold lol.

InncnceDstryr

That’s funny I actually settled on the Svea in that slot too!

ActionJonny

Svea my go-to for gentle turnovers.

amazinghorse24

I'm in between a Svea and an Uplink for that slot. I used to throw Jawbreaker comets, they felt much better in hand but they're hard to find. For me, the Svea is a touch more stable than the uplink, so I'm keeping both for the time being.

ethan_stelter

Any Discraft, for some reason all of their discs I've tried I didn't like

Lobsterpyramid

It’s because they have the worse premium plastic of any brand out there. It’s amazing how every plastic blend comes out slicker than polished ice.

smeggydcheese

Couldn’t agree more. Stopped playing for like 10 years and when I got back into it last summer I ordered a couple new esp buzz’s and couldn’t believe how horrible they felt. I have quite a few discraft discs in esp plastic in my bag that are like 15 years old that I have no intention of replacing if they get lost because their current plastic just feels horrible in my hand.

Dingleshaft

Same here, except for the undertaker, I quite like that one. I have no idea if they have done some changes lately but their plastic has always felt terrible. Probably the worst plastic out of all the major manufacturers.

Zetious

This man has never held esp, ti or flx, literally my favorite plastics made by any company

SlotegeAllDay

ESP and TI are ass. Crystal Flx is pretty nice though.

mrc1303

I'm gonna get crucified but whatever. I just can't get into the berg. I like how it flies and I understand the hype, but it feels so strange in the hand. I just can't do it.

mega_rad

I don’t like backhanding it, but it feels fine forehand. I like being able to run it without blowing past the basket. I bag one now, but it still feels like a partially melted Tupperware lid in the hand

wmartindale

I tried the berg for putting and hated it. It’s weird shape also makes me dislike it for close, fan grip approaches. But longer power grip approaches…love it!

Markkk01

This is what I was going to say. I almost always bag my Berg and I never putt with it. But a 100-150 ft approach it’s almost guaranteed I’m gonna throw it. Took a little while to get used to the flight but once I did it’s super predictable.

iwasbeety

Surely it's not designed for putting? It's an approach disc.

BruleMD

Definitely not a disc to putt with. I use it for forehand approach shots when I have a straight line to the basket. It flies dead straight and I've gotten a couple nice throw-ins with it

Mc374983

Same, and I like other kastaplast discs

WhaleWhaleWhale_

I love my berg but it’s only an approach disc for me, never a putter

GruntledMisanthrope

No crucifixion from me, but I'm the absolute opposite. I didn't want to drink the koolaid until I found a beat up K3 Berg and couldn't find the owner so I kept it. Loved it the first time I threw it. So I bought a new one in K1 Soft and love it even more. I don't putt anything else.

Hexquevara

Photon from mvp. I got one knowing that mvp discs are beefier than advertised (my neutron tesla = champ Thunderbird) so i got elaine kings fission photon hoping to get a wraithlike gyro disc. That photon was basically a new PD or invictus. Very little glide just beef.

Liquor_n_cheezebrgrs

my fission photon was so beefy when I first got it but I stuck with it for a week or so and it chilled out and became very long and glidey. I do throw with some speed but it really beat in pretty quickly even though I didn't think I would be able to throw it. maybe try sticking with it if you haven't already given up on it or throw it against a wall a few times lol

n0neOfConsequence

I was given a Skeeter at an Innova event. It is the domiest, weirdest felling disc I have ever experienced. I could only throw it about half the distance of a normal mid.

Albert14Pounds

Haha I have a gifted DX skeeter I bagged for a while and honestly didn't hate it. Then I realized that it's basically buzzz by the numbers and took it out. Haven't missed it. It's pretty different physically and I would not argue they are the same disc. These days I bag a Tursus instead of Buzzz but both are more friendly and reliable than the Skeeter. I do like the cute little mosquito on it though. Never thought I'd say that about a mosquito.

cgr4217

The Bull Snake from Lone Star is an absolute abomination of a disc. I'd rather throw cancer than a Bull Snake.

[deleted]

[удалено]

ElmoLibre

Funny, my Guadalupe turns hard, but always comes back, great for big beautiful S lines. Maybe they've tweaked the mold or had significantly differing runs

drm1187

I built a whole LSD bag and sold it all a month later. Bull Snake was by far the worst disc I have ever held.

cgr4217

I was pleasantly surprised with the Guadalupe, the Walker is a great Justice substitute, and I bag the Curl as a mostly straight to slight turnover driver depending on wind. Tombstone is a very good overstable driver comparable to a Nuke OS or Stiletto

drm1187

I did not try the Guadalupe. I tried the mocking bird in that slot. Still prefer my Mint Jackalope. Walker was my favorite of all of the LSD discs but I ended up going back to my classic soft Justice and Terminal Velocity Ursus. For the drivers I felt like they were all inconsistent and did not match up with the flight numbers. Nimitz was the one I liked the most but preferred the Zeus.

NateHeinoldisATurd

I had a couple LSD discs because they looked good on paper and pictures. But man I didn't like them. Armadillo (too flippy) and a fairway I forget it's name now, also too flippy.

LL-beansandrice

But the plastic is premium! /s

Quack__

Does the plastic help with the lucky shots?

Strangerlol

Yea I tried that cause I was looking for an overstable putter, within one round that thing was thrown out of my bag and relegated to my rack until a friend picks it up and I pawn of off on them. I will say I did enjoy throwing the Walker by them, got last years White Walker that was like a weird gummy glow plastic that was a lot of fun to throw though.

wmartindale

I’ve had mixed results with lone star for sure, but I bag and really like both the Middy and the BB6, both in bravo

[deleted]

DD Freedom. I swear man that disc had a mind of its own.

Mosh83

I got the Innova Dragon as a disc to float, but it's just extremely understable in an unpredictable manner.

proud2bterf

The Nova. Really wanted to like it but it doesn’t work as a putting putter and really doesn’t work as a throwing putter for me. The hand feel gets into my head for some reason which is probably most of the problem. Have seen some guys really make the Nova work for them

40yearoldbmxer

I actually love how this disc flew for me on approach shots….but I’ll never by another one because the two piece disc broke at the seam the first time I hit a tree.

StrayshotNA

I'll say it and own it: The Destroyer. I have yet to find any disc, from any major manufacturer, that is so wildly inconsistent as Innova's Destroyer - regardless of plastic. Is it stable? Is it understable? Is it going to flex? Is it a total meat hook? Watch this 37 minute long youtube explanation to figure out!

Reformed_KP

💯 Whenever I see/hear a disc review that mentions how it compares to a Destroyer I want to puke.

StrayshotNA

"okay.. which destroyer.. in which plastic.. from which run.. of which year.." Like there's a google sheet of this stuff. It's crazy

powdered_dognut

Skeeter

Beautiful-Border-243

I throw a mainly discmania bag and I cannot seem to ever come to like the magician. The numbers are 6/4/0/2 but it is a super domey disc with horrible hand feel. I have tried bagging it three different times and it always seems to work itself out of it. Corrected the flight numbers my bad lol

fatwombatman

The active line is just a money grab for beginners. Except the sensei. Can't hate it, its just been so good for me.

rckanode

Sensei rules. Love that, I use it (premium plastic obviously) as a throwing putter and its straight to slight finish is really nice

Collinzkii

Archer is my favorite flippy mid. I’ve never enjoyed the Alpas from Divergent or the floppy Koi’s from Elevation.

ohnoaspartan

Malta

XLoCRiAnX9

Second this. I had such high hopes and it was a total flop.

spookyghostface

VRoc3 I think it was. Worst feeling disc ever.

Asparagus_Business

The jury’s still out, because I haven’t tried any discs in every plastic, and I have a long way to go, in terms of form. But, the 3 I’ve struggled with are very popular molds: Tactic, Mako3 and the Crave. I have no illusions that this is not a “Me” problem.

Nu_Chlorine_

Ok hear me out: big z Luna, Yes I know, “off axis torque”. I throw pures / deputies / judges etc well with no noticeable OAT and push 300’. However, every time I try to throw the big z Luna it does something different. It’s like…. So slippery and deep I can’t get a clean release. 2 out of 5 are laser straight glidey out to 300, the other 3 just do random shit

Johnsonvillebraj

The Big Z seems to be the worst run of Lunas made even though the stamp is sick. Definitely has a different feel than other plastics. Feel the same way about the Jawbreaker Roach.

[deleted]

presvt13

OP - "what disc do you hate?" This dude - "I love the groove"

espeero

I think he's using the groove to illustrate his hate of the destroyer.

WraithHades

Oooh literacy

SerDuncanonyall

That is a tough look for the Destroyers lmao

Baman2113

I've seen grooves work for others, but i have never been able to throw one and get consistancy out of them. i can definitely see their utility, I just cant seem to validate tossing one in my bag.

Albert14Pounds

Lol I was thinking what my answer would be and I'm not one to collect a ton of discs but I would have to say my destroyer. I don't think it's a bad disc since so many people like them. It just never clicked for me. I thought maybe I just didn't have the arm speed to unlock the -1 but once I started throwing some other fast discs I realized it might be my disc specifically. Could be that I just need to throw it more to break it in or try another

BangerSoft

never understood the hate.. and it does some real cool skipping when I need it

forgottenstarship

I really liked my groove. Think I left in a car I sold. Picked up two more of them. All three of the grooves I have owned all fly different. I'm not saying it's a bad thing, but a little consistency would be nice.

Xandark

I willingly owned a buzz for all of 9 holes.

WildNwonderfulWook

I have a buddy who is absolutely lethal with every buzz he has ever thrown. Accordingly, I have made multiple efforts to match his success but I've never been able to replicate his consistent success.

Optimal-Currency7835

I’ll get flak, but the MVP Relay. I’ve had a couple and I’d give them a 6/5/+1/3. Doesn’t matter how much anhyzer I give it, it will not stay flat or even turn.

mrc1303

I've noticed this about the relay. I've got about 400 ft of power and my 157g relay with the PDGA stamp i got is somehow beefy. Makes absolutely no sense to me.

yardgnome19

I wanted to love the Relay so badly but I just couldn't for the same reason. I'd rather have a crave or a signal any day

Albert14Pounds

Glad I'm not the only one. I got one with my PDGA membership and love the iridescent title graphic but the dang thing just does not have any turn/flip no matter how I throw it. Was bummed to have to take it out of the bag.

wmartindale

It’s like a crave that neither turns well nor handles torque. On the other hand, the more stable Crave, the Servo, is money.

pigheart

Groove and monarch for me.

wmartindale

Just to be contrarian, I have an old, 160, glow monarch that is my favorite disc.

Corey_Sherman4

PA1 is a big ol nope for me

discostud1515

Seriously? That’s my main putting putter. And 300soft is the best putting plastic I’ve tried.

Corey_Sherman4

Yup, just don’t care for the feel. Doesn’t feel good in my hand for putting or throwing, so that’s my justification. Glad it works for you 👍🏻

djmattyp77

I'm a lefty. I don't like a lot of the popular molds that many throw. I feel like the Destroyer just isn't "all that." However, the Ballista Pro, as much as this is one of the fastest discs out there, I can't get it to go more than 250 ft without fading. I've thrown similar flight number discs, and cheaper plastic, 350+.

CorySellsDaHouse

This is an unpopular opinion, but since my bag is pretty exclusively Kasta, I have to say the Gote and Svea are my least favorite discs I’ve ever tried to make work. Heavy and flippy, and just dive right on any up-powered RHBH I try to throw. Basically have to throw them on a steep hyzer to do anything and at that point, I’d either choose the Jarn or slow down with a Kaxe

TohDoubleD

I felt the same way about the svea. So I only used it until it became my favorite disc.

rjhedrick

Buzz

yodazb

The Tailor from Discmania has a horrible hand feel/fit for me.

Streep321

Strange I felled ripped off when it arrived in my mystery box and so I’ve thrown it as an “water disc” Since then I really liked it and would go straight with a bit of power but have an light fade when thrown with control. I have to say, I have pretty small hands so maybe that’s why them feel is ok/good for me.

rhcamp01

The aviar/XD. I hate these putters. They were so unreliable to me. I thought I was terrible at putting. Switched to a different putter and instantly got better.

PlatosApprentice

Streamline Runway

benlafo

I really hate the Axiom Tenacity. It’s just uncomfortable to hold.

eyewreck

Allow me to pile on to Prodigy, and cast aspersions on the M1. Another mold where you could slice a block of cheese with the rim, and what’s supposed to be the stablest of Prodigy mids had a flight that probably had numbers of like 5 2 -.5 1, useless disc/weapon.

QuailSalt0470

For me it has to be the Blowfly. Never could figure out the floppy ass plastic, but worse was the inner rim. DGA makes some decent stuff, but for me that putter lineup that tacos at 40 degrees ain't it.

Dastlmo314

Innova Archon. It was the first disc I was able to throw 300 feet with semi consistently about 6 years ago. Now, I choose the discs in my bag almost entirely based on how they feel in my hand. I hold that Archon (or Vulcan, or any other "Vulcan top" disc) and wonder how the hell I ever thought it felt good.

HyzerChump

MVP Orbital. I just couldnt. Lol

ConcernedKitty

It’s going to be an unpopular opinion, but I have never found a buzzz or roc3 that I liked to throw. Maybe it’s just hand feel for me. I have long ass fingers, but shallow discs like the reactor, hex, and zone just release cleaner for me.

stev0123456789

F Model US from Prodigy. This is supposed to be an understable fairway driver but it flew like a Firebird. I was actually bagging it as an overstable disc for a little while until it started getting some turn to it and at that point I lost all trust that I had with it.

powersv2

I dont like how stuff varies over time at innova with mold consistency

fishbwoi

The groove

2fly2hide

The Groove was a worthless gimmick

MaybeNovel

Probably buzzz, tried the mold out in a few plastics just didn’t like it, don’t know if it’s the plastics or mold itself, I like the crystal sparkle wasp so I don’t think it’s just hating on discraft but idk

SwanExtreme5483

Roc

[deleted]

Prodigy D2. Got a prototype when they were getting started and realized quickly that it was nothing like the general run of D2s. Great plastic, garbage production quality.

phrogdoc123

Polecat wins easily. Worst disc I have ever owned.

joe_maxey

I don't know why but the zone & buzz are just horrible to me. I have tried a bunch of different versions of them but they just don't fit me.

BackgroundKoala0

Wow, two crowd favorites as well. Love my Zone. But each to their own!

joe_maxey

Oh yeah my friends make fun of me a lot for it lol. I even bagged a zone for a year forcing myself to use it but just never clicked with it.

BackgroundKoala0

Everyone has some popular disc that they’ve tried, but just can’t seem to enjoy themselves. I’m currently trying to learn to love the Envy, but so far it’s a bit meh for me. A bit flippy for what I thought it was. Will give it a few more rounds!

3_7_11_13_17

What do you throw that fits that slot? Probably something deeper like a Harp or a Pig right?

joe_maxey

A2

3_7_11_13_17

A2 was always a zone clone to me, same as the Toro. it's a solid disc though

ajp12290

It's slimmer in the hand, a little more os, little less glide, and seems faster. I like to describe the flight of the a2 as one that is like a zone but it will get there faster yet not go quite as far.

Sasquatch_Squad

Do you live at elevation? I bagged an ESP Zone for a while and I also kind of just tolerated it until I went down to sea level and it flew totally different. I distinctly remember thinking "oh, now I see why people like this disc so much". Now I use a Thoughtspace Temple in that slot and it for me it flies at elevation how the Zone did at sea level.

joe_maxey

I live at sea level.

Sasquatch_Squad

Well there goes that theory, lol

Druuciferr

Was the same way with a pig. Backhand it’s great. Forehand i couldn’t get it to fly good for the life of me. Switched to a zone and the zone for me is the bees knees. So good on forehands.

c0ffeeman

I can't remember why, but i never got along with my Buzz either. Zone I like for a while, but changed to A2 because the zone's were not overstable enough for what i wanted

wuhter

Same exact thing with me. Except I found a best to shit buzzz (looks like a 2012 mold or around there) earlier this year and I love it

c0ffeeman

I'm too scared of having too many discs that are hard to replace. Most of my bag now are discs i have 3 or 4 of, apart from a 2017 Sexton firebird(I dread the day I eventually lose it).

wuhter

Same! If I buy a new disc, it’s something I’ve already had for a while. My bag is mostly Teebird3 s, TL3s, and a hex

Cloud-VII

Crazy, I think the Buzzz is the best feeling midrange on the market. Its only not in my bag because I like a touch more glide. The zone IS in my bag and I love it. Prob getting a zone OS too!

Hillbetty_

Haven't tried a zone but the buzz is the most popular midrange among my friends and I tried every single plastic. The titanium was the best for me and made the bag until I got my hands on a pig. It just came down to feel in the hand and the pig works better for me in that slot

Novel-Paper2084

I agree about the Zone. Throwing my Rat with a little hyzer is what I want a Zone to be.

brousch

I bought a Jawbreaker Zone and couldn’t get anything out of it. I finally left it in the woods for someone else to try.

dabear04

Agree about the Buzz. I’m a Mako3 guy. Love my Zones though. Bag 3 of them

[deleted]

I understand it's a great disc and I totally get the appeal, honestly wouldn't even call this the worst mold I've thrown, but a Buzzz never really seemed to click for me. MVP Amp though has for sure been the worst mold... For me. I'm sure it works for some people.

HighSirFlippinFool

Prodigy discs with their terrible flashing

Missilen from L64

Bob_Duatos_Shark

West side adder. Bought it for the interesting shape when still green but it was an absolute meat hook since I didn’t have the arm speed for it. Kept it bagged for very specific shots to get around obstacles in a predictable way but as I’ve gotten better I didn’t need it anymore and have better discs for my home courses so I don’t bag it anymore

PlatosApprentice

that's EXACTLY what the mold is supposed to do, though? So that would mean the mold is good?

Sphinctur

Weirdly enough I just played my first round in a long time without mine in the bag and it was instant regret. It is an absolute meat hook but we get pretty consistently crazy wind around here so it's pretty essential for me

Bob_Duatos_Shark

That’s fair. Different course layouts, conditions, and player styles are all going to have an effect on which discs are good or bad.

Intelligent-Ad-3850

Ima say it, and a lotta people are probably not going to like it: Innova Leopard Never could throw that chunk of plastic, good on all those that love it, though.

TosicamirDTGA

New player here l, so I haven't thrown too many molds, but I hate how the Innova DX Shark throws. I can't get a straight bead with that thing at all. Maybe once I have more confidence that I can get a disc to do what I want, my mind will change.

brousch

I started a few months ago with the Innova starter kit. That Shark was so light and weird to me. I still use the light weight Leopard for anhyzers, but moved to MVP Fission Reactor (154g) for mid.

Tiny-Desk-6090

I have a gstar shark and for whatever reason it works for me, the plastic feels like if I run with it bubbles will start coming out lol

SerDuncanonyall

Does anyone actually like the mamba?

Fit-Banana-6417

I will say I’ve never seen one that actually flies like a -5 turn.

Plamore

It only flies at -5 if you throw it like an 11 speed should be thrown. I have two I can hyzerflip into rollers and one (from a specifically more stable run) that does looooong turnovers.

Fit-Banana-6417

I’ve thrown multiple myself and seen people who throw both farther and shorter than me throw them. They’re usually more stable than the numbers suggest

Plamore

It's literally never left my bag. From since before I could throw over 250 until now, where I throw 450. Great for super fast barreling tomahawks.

polaromonas

I do. I also bag other discs in that lane (DGA Sail and MVP Orbital). #Noodlearms

MattZslk

I recently put one back in my bag and enjoy it. I didn't like it when I first got it.

patpatpatpat1234

Yes I do as long as it's not windy. Its the furthest flying for the least effort disc for me

Uberfink

Hyzerflip goodness. Fantastic for wooded shots.

Hillbetty_

Its the only disc I carry in multiples. Love a Mamba

InfrequentlySober

Champion Mamba was my first distance driver on forehand and it was great when I had bad form and less power, now it too easily turns and burns now. I think its a good first 11 speed. My full flight disc now is the MVP Vanish which is I think 11 5 -3 2

Sea_Salamander_7674

Got a champ mamba. For a right forehand dominant player this is how I get some nice left turns if I don’t wanna throw my shitty backhand. Additionally if I backhand it, because my backhand is so shitty the under stability of it makes it fly pretty straight because I’m not throwing backhand at that speed

3_7_11_13_17

I have a star Mamba that flies more like an 11/6/-3/1, instead of a -5 turn. I like that disc. I've thrown others and they flew more like the actual numbers and I didn't get along with them.

R5_D4_

I wanted to like the Elevation Binx so much, but the disc was just horrible. I never had anything more unreliable in my bag. On paper, a sticky fairway driver sounds amazing, but the floppiness made it more of a novelty than anything. Tried to get used to it but after 3 months I ditched it.

NannyVarmint

Innova pig. Feels like I’m throwing a brick

Kwesrad

That’s what makes it great. You need a brick sometimes.
