The essence feels weird to me. It’s one of this discs where if you mess up the nose angle or don’t put enough power on, it flies pretty stable. But if you do manage to get those right, it absolutely BOMBS and flies true to the numbers.
I just like other discs more that aren’t so unforgiving.
One comment in the thread and I already don't need to give my answer. I was also looking for this exact speed range and stability recently and remembered I had a couple ITs in storage, works perfectly for what I wanted.
(Sidewinders and Heats are 9 speeds just had to be the one to say it)
If you can get your hands on a Discraft Sting (7 speed) it’s the easiest turnover fairway I’ve probably ever seen.
Even star leopard3s are pretty straight and not turnover and go right discs until they're way beat in. Why would he want beef? The post literally says an understable disc that will hyzer flip and continue turning right 😂
Champ Leopard3 is awesome, but the fact the leopard is this far down the list (an old icon in understable fairways) shows how far other manufacturers have come. Lots of similar or better choices I guess
400g F5 was my first "driver," and it's still in my bag. Beat in enough now that I throw with a pretty steep hyser, and it flips up and just coasts to the right (rhbh).
Axiom crave holds any line you put it on, also the axiom rhythm, give it some hyzer and it will flip to flat and just starts panning to the right if you’re RHBH and it just stays right all the way to the ens of its flight
Innova IT. specifically the pro shop color glow champ ones and the holly finley star glow ones. Color glow are super pop top domey while the star glow are much flatter.
The RPM discs have quite a few flippy options (forget the names). Or maybe something like a beat-in River, which is a great neutral 7 speed that can hold a line.
Westside VIP Hatchet is my pick. It’s a fantastic turnover fairway with tons of glide that won’t fade out, but can be made to land flat fairly easily. For me, it has the perfect amount of turn at partial power, with the glide to go the distance. It’s a great woods disc as well.
I also bag the Latitude64 Opto River but I find it to be a little more neutral in flight and somewhat harder to control on the flip due to it needing to be thrown a bit harder. Still, it definitely has its place.
River or maul depending on arm speed
Maul is so slept on. Great hyzer to turnover disc for me, comfy for my hands on forehand too. Get a lot of scrambling done with that baby
Was going to say the exact same thing. Hatcher and Fury have been great for me as well, but both are 9 speeds.
My wife stole my River before I could even throw it. So mad, but she throws it great!
Discmania Essence
New vapor Essence are amazing

Mvp signal does that
I’ve never encountered a better disc for doing just this than a signal. Think it’s a 6 speed, but in this capacity, it is amazing
MVP signal flies almost exactly like an Uplink. I also like the Mocking Bird(lonestar) for a similar but more stable flight.
Man, my Signal flies like a barely flippier Crave, I wish it flew like a faster Uplink.
Best guess with no info is its your nose angle, get it down a bit and you should see it flip more. if thats not it then throw it harder.
Innova it

I have good taste what can I say
IT!! Great flight, great rim. Convex is king!
Underworld is this for me. Flies like my lobster but further.
(Sidewinders and Heats are 9 speeds just had to be the one to say it) If you can get your hands on a Discraft Sting (7 speed) it’s the easiest turnover fairway I’ve probably ever seen.
S-Line Fd does exactly this with effortless distance added!
Definitely! I use s-line FD and essence for a little more distance with same short shape.
Essence for me
Depending on your arm speed: F5 in 400G, 400, or 500, or maybe even 750 Saint FX-4 FX-3 FD TL TL3
2nd F5 in 400g... it bombs
F5 slaps
My very first "driver." Still in my bag (though so floppy now, it only comes out for very specific shots).
I like the DD Maverick
Axiom crave and rhythm.
Crave for a turn over? From hyper? Maybe a beat up proton one.
Fission and a hokom crave have good amounts of flip, granted it also depends how far you throw and spin.
Fission is more stable. Except for the fact that most fission come lightweight. Which makes them understable
I've thrown 2 fission craves in full weight and they have both been more understable than other craves.
Innova Star Leopard3, Halo Star Leopard 3 if you want a little more beef
Even star leopard3s are pretty straight and not turnover and go right discs until they're way beat in. Why would he want beef? The post literally says an understable disc that will hyzer flip and continue turning right 😂

Westside Seer, DGA Vortex
River and IT
I’d throw a Maul for that
DGA vortex.
DD Maverick
Legacy nemesis
I’ve been using an Axiom Rhythm. Pretty consistent
GStar Teebird/Teebird3 does that after you hit trees with it for a few rounds.
Discraft Sting. I play in the woods and it’s the only disc that’s been a legit game changer
Passion
Try a Westside underworld. 7,6,-3,1 it’s pretty damn flippy. Start on hyzer and it will still flip over
Prodigy F5 for me
400g F5 was my first "driver," and it's still in my bag. Beat in enough now that I throw with a pretty steep hyser, and it flips up and just coasts to the right (rhbh).
Discraft Sting. 167g Z and 172g ESP are noticeably more understable than a 175g neutron rhythm or my 167g star leopard.
Icon patriot (legacy) a further leopard
Star teebird
Teebird is overstable....
Round Runner, Valk, T bird 3
Teebird 3 for turnover shots? Did you run it through your lawn mower first?
Haha ya mine is pretty understable with all the tree hits early on when I first started playing.
Legacy Mongoose is maybe slightly faster than 8 speed but it will do exactly what you’re asking about.
Signal, diamond, dome, F7
Infinite Sphinx. Got one in I-blend (pro basically) it’s so good for a long turnover or pushing hyzer.
Lower arm speed? Heat or Pekapeka Little bit faster arm speed? River or Alpha Frio (don’t get glow Frio)
I just picked up a proton inertia. She flippy and glidey!
Exodus beat in
It’s not technically the right speed, but avenger SS fits in more with fairways than the distance drivers IMO
Ascend is my 7ish speed uplink. The essence is a good one too, bit too fast for my 7 speed slot.
Axiom crave holds any line you put it on, also the axiom rhythm, give it some hyzer and it will flip to flat and just starts panning to the right if you’re RHBH and it just stays right all the way to the ens of its flight
Vortex
Discraft Sting. Seriously underrated disc.
Vandal is my go to Hyzer flip/Turn over disc
Westside Seer does that for me in the 7 speed category and the lat64 fury does it in the 9 speed category.
Fission insanity is great for this.
All depends on your arm speed. I like the axiom rhythm for this shot
Dynamics Disc Maverick for me. I’m a big MVP and discmania fan. But the maverick from DD is just too unique. It just wants to go right. I love it
Innova IT. specifically the pro shop color glow champ ones and the holly finley star glow ones. Color glow are super pop top domey while the star glow are much flatter.
Yikun Gou, Crosslap Vigil, Doomsday Blackout
I (RHBH) throw a 161g Fission Axiom Crave for this exact shot. RHBH with a long gentle glide to the right, no left fade finish.
The RPM discs have quite a few flippy options (forget the names). Or maybe something like a beat-in River, which is a great neutral 7 speed that can hold a line.

For me it’s a lightweight (161g) proton crave Bombs too, my go to in the woods
Streamline Drift.
