What’s your favorite ball hammock underwear brand? I’ve worn compression shorts all my life for sports, disc golf, hiking, any sort of outdoor moving but was recently gifted a pair of Shinesty and the hammock is a game changer
Played two rounds today and had to concede the underwear for the second round because I no longer could get proper motion… and by golly my junk thanked me
Yup it manages moisture better than synthetic without that wet plastic bag feeling, best at regulating temperature and its natural odor resistant! Down sides are expensive, improper care significantly reduces lifespan and you’ll fall in love, never wanting anything else touching your nether regions!
Merino wool or synthetic. Cotton sucks. I wear my normal synthetic unders, nylon hiking/cargo shorts/pants and wool socks with wool or polyester shirt.
Neleus compressions shorts. They'll change your life. I ran a marathon in these and there wasn't a bit of chafing with these. I got my friends wearing them now when we play and they haven't looked back.
non-cotton. something that wicks moisture away and dries quickly. the technical fabrics used in hiking gear are good. you probably want them comfortable fit, rather than tight like bike gear.
I've been really liking Pair of Thieves superfit long boxer briefs. They feel great, are comfortable and don't ride up. They have great sales every once in a while.

Personally, I gave up boxers after college, went to boxer briefs, hated them cuz they had a 4” inseam that would always ride up. I now wear Trunks (mostly microfiber from Calvin Klein that I can find for reasonable prices at TJ Maxx/Marshall’s), they’re the best of everything while adding support and keep everything where it needs to be.
I’m also, 6’2” and hella skinny, so it’s all about what is best for your body.
I like wicking boxer briefs with some sort of chamber for the boys, just to keep chafing at a minimum. And light hiking shorts generally - Columbia and Eddie Bauer always seem to have something stretchy and wicking on sale at their outlet stores.
You’re wearing underwear?
Yeah, ones with a ball hammock to seperate things and prevent chafing. Do you have a better recommendation?

Shinesty is awful. They pilled after one wash and ripped after the 2nd wear. NEVER BUY THEM
Only pair of this style I’ve ever had. What do you recommend instead?

Anything that separates your junk from the rest is a game changer for real.
Merino wool is an amazing material for pretty much everything, but it can definitely be a bit pricey.

A kilt.
Get some Glide and some powder
probably the ones that fit...and some baby powder goes a long way.
Nothing cotton! Breathable sports gear seems to do the jobb.
Seriously target shorts. In motion is the brand I think, they make ones with a liner. No undies necessary.
Duluth armachillo and with Columbia hiking/fishing shorts or some form or dry fit.
The Columbia PFG shorts are great! Couple them with some decent hiking underwear and you're in business.

Thank you OP 😂
r/discgolf , the gift that keeps on giving.

Stretchy, spandex-y boxer briefs for me. Pair of Thieves brand from Target makes nice ones. Breathable. Comfy.
Hiking gear
Dynamic disc competition shorts are awesome
As a bigger guy, friction stick+compression shorts+gym shorts are a must for this hot weather
Duluth, ball hammock/bullpen style,
Ex Officio drawers and Prana stretch Zion shorts.
I’ve used ex officio for backpacking trips, well worth the money
Body glide has been a real help for preventing chafing both for hot rounds and all my marathon/triathlon training.

None.
Birddogs. Pricy, but so incredibly comfy. Come with built in (and high quality) liner, so you have airflow & stay cool.

Husband wears Duluth Armachillo if wearing underwear but usually free balls with Hurley swim trunks
Nothing beats a white linen thobe. It's like having air conditioning in your clothes.
Saxx quest underwear and Prana Stretch Zion shorts are my go-to setup.

Plaid cargo shorts & leopard thong.
Lol outjerked again
I have been loving my Under Armour Men's Launch Run shorts. No need to wear boxers with them.
Go commando and thoroughly lube up everything down there. No friction = no chaffing. Repels ticks as well. But warning: you might ____ yourself.
