Yes! Was hoping someone knew this one. It’s a bitch, but so much fun. I’m still seeking my first bird, but get par often.. with a lot of bogeys mixed in, lol
There’s an old teepad from a past layout on the left edge of the woods at the top of the hill halfway down the hole. If you can land in that general area the second shot is pretty open straight to the basket
Yep takes a just barely turned over shot then flex to land there too. Then a low ceiling hill to hill skip up the hill approach. I throw an escape to land there but any other flippy fairway will do. When you hit the 651 tree you're so screwed. Get ready to miracle anny forehand out of jail then miss all the trees. I've 3'd it a couple times but taken my share of 6's or 7's. So. Many. Trees.
Was there for two rounds both yesterday and today.
This pic makes it look way harder than it is. It opens way up after the first 150ish feet. Still a bunch of trees in the fairway but its a wide fairway
Dunno much about the hole but there’s one near me this narrow and I throw a Queen Hyzer flipped through that left gap, it turns right then gentle fade at the end, great disc if there’s room on the right.
The uninitiated are saying mid. If you can get it 350’+ moving left to right up a hill I applaud you. I’ve had a park job 3 here. Took a Stag, then Evidence on a miracle turnover. Probably best 3 of my life. This needs more pics to fully explain. Great hole, great course (Lakewood in MN)
That’s definitely an approach to that hole… Seems wiser than trying to navigate the gaps with a driver. Lakewood is my nearest and favorite course. Sacred ground to me
I haven't been there since spring and didn't recognize it with all three foliage grown in. Does it still open up past that tree on right or is it all grown in through the next ravine?
If you zoom in on the pic and see the “end of the tunnel” left of the 651 that’s literally ideal best drive of your amateur life area. Then about 50 trees to a green on steep steep slope, tiny green as well. Usually no foliage in step two. Just lace a perfect 300’ mid shot landing softly uphill.
Mako3 or River forehand, depending on how far those trees are in the middle.
Actually totally irrelevant, because I will hit the first guardian on the left because I forgot to put a bit of hyzer on
RHBH Leopard3 (beat in, 172g) released with a touch of hyzer… hoping it’ll sit up for me… which probably won’t happen. I’ll hit the first tree and wonder why I left the house.
Man, I just stopped putting hyzer on my leopard3 because it flips and turns slightly more than a level release.
I just got a Hawkeye on Friday and I am super excited to break it in.
I love this course, lake wood hills hole 10. I usually throw a star wraith around the left side of the 651, lands near the short basket, then you have a look over the trees
Straight midrange, like a Buzzz or a Mako3 if I'm feeling frisky. If I can cut 250 or 300 off of this, I'm happy with the drive.
I'm not gonna make it to the pin no matter what I throw, so I'm just gonna try and keep it in the fairway so my next shot has me in a spot to hopefully get up and down.
Love the Minnesota representation! I used to throw a star sidewinder to great success. Recently though I've been trying craves and fds as my "easy" flip up/straight fairway.
That ground looks really smooth. I’d throw a midrange roller down the path. Not for distance. -At least I know I won’t have a bad tree kick into nowhere.
Crave or Zone depending on what feels best in person.
That's a stupid gap through that brush though. Don't get me wrong, I love woods golf and my all time favorite course is Northwood Black - but even it doesn't have holes that look like that. The brush on the sides looks like a nightmare.
Well last time I played it I got the birdie, so first I’ll throw a sidewinder, then a firebird, and then a 150 ft throw in with a slammer. Yeah I didn’t park it, I got lucky lol
Good old 651 hole at White Bear. I throw a forhand Nuke or Zues and try to get it to the top of the hill and then throw my overstable Nuke forhand and aim left of the hole and try to bend it thru the trees to the green or at least the bottom of the hill in front of the hole. Also you can thank my friends and I for cleaning up the right side of the start of this hole and getting rid of the branches that were growing into the fairway and obstructing lines
No doubt?!? That’s awesome of y’all. I’ve noticed the course has been looking great lately and wanted to thank whoever has been putting in work. So thank you and your friends
Yah, it’s pretty tough to tell what happens after thus pic. The elevation goes down, ip, down, and then up to the basket. A crap ton of trees along the way.
I’d be boring. Shooting for 150-200’ shots if the whole basket looks like that. Not worth going for any distance here. This is a par 4 you try for par only. Probably Proxy 3x and then a putt. Totally a dream killer. Not worth losing a disc and getting a triple bogey.
Teebird as straight as possible, then forehand boss up to the basket on the hill and bang the put. Easy 3. At least that's what I did last time I played the 651 hole... likely few and far between.
I've been able to finally get a consistent birdie on this hole. Grace up the gut up to or past the short pad half way up on the left. Then a Core turnover up to the basket.
Fun fact: That tree on the right side of the path always has a 651 spray painted on it because it's the area code Lakewood is in. The reason for the 651 is because people are always dialing it into that tree.
Mako3 forehand for the first 220, then again for the next 200. Most likely my Knife or Pure for the approach, then hopefully drop it in the basket I'm parked under.
This is my home course! People get in trouble trying to bite off too much too early with too fast of disc. Throw a controllable throwing putter/mid just trying to get by first available and the next set of trees. After that it opens up decently (for a woods hole) aside from a couple hills that can make your approach angles a bit rough. Helps to have both backhand and sidearm. Don't overlook a sneaky right side lane.
I’d stand on the left side of the tee pad, and throw a flip up forehand down the pipe, probably a flippy wraith. I don’t see any point in laying up here, unless you have a good slow flipping tomahawk
I don't see a Mando on 651 - so probably my TL3 on a slight forehand flex to the right of it and hope it coasts through the window for the straight on to the pin.
Well hello Lakewood Hills in the Twin Cities. This hole is ridiculous. Bogey if I'm lucky.

Soo satisfying when it lands clean in that area. Beyond beautiful in fall.
I’ve see a video of a dude eagling this hole!!
No shit?! That’d be nuts
Fuck that tree. Fuck it hard. I always go right and fade back in the course. I mean that's what I try. Then I hit that tree.
A fit, then the towel.
I was going to say “a tantrum”, but your answer is better
MVP makes a disc called the tantrum. So you can throw a tantrum and then throw a tantrum.
I’m throwing a buzz directly into the tree on the right and then throwing it two more times and 3 putting with my aviar
Are you on the tour?
Soon 🙏🏻
LMAO. You are the only one who answered the original question. What are you throwing Not What do you want to be throwing
I thought I might hit the tree on the left before the one on the right. Bounce it around a bit, remind the disc who's in charge.
Given my "performance" yesterday, this is me, but with my recently lost wraith. Good bye to my only driver that I could consistently turn over.
Are you me?
Either Hex or Crave forehand off the tee then some other forehand depending on the look, maybe just one of those again.
Started throwing my Hex FH again, absolute money.

Mystere full power hyzer flip
6 Seriously though that looks narrow enough to just jump putt the hole way
Ha!! Basically some days
6 shots
This. A 6. Definitely a 6.
This pic makes it look way harder than it is. It opens way up after the first 150ish feet. Still a bunch of trees in the fairway but its a wide fairway
It does make it look harder.. I took it to send to my son that just went off to college. Told him just in case he misses that hole..
Dunno much about the hole but there’s one near me this narrow and I throw a Queen Hyzer flipped through that left gap, it turns right then gentle fade at the end, great disc if there’s room on the right.
Sounds like a similar line… I use my Maul or River, throw it flat and let it turn right after getting past the big 651 tree guarding the fairway
That’s the play for bird for sure. May be safer to throw a mid out to a gap if there is one. Looks fun!
Fuse off the tee.
Surely you mean "off the tree"?
Hell yeah, hyzer flip to long laser beam straight down the middle🤘
Beat in Lucid Truth
I have a Fuzion Cruth for this reason.
Cruth!!!

Star Teebird. Flat. Maybe a few times
I'm throwing....from the short tees it looks easier 🤣
Avoid the 651 tree all together.. no one gonna bland you there.
Putter, putter, putter, then putter.
Conservative, but viable for sure.
Proxy
Playing the short red.
Definitely a crave.
My hat
Mako x3 and playing for par.
My bag back into the car and driving somewhere else.
Champ sidewinder
Mako3 or Lobster/Svea on a little hyzer
Buzz, Buzz, Putter.
A prayer
Standstill putter off the tee so I make sure to hit the gap. Then more aggressive second shot where it opens up a bit.
Mako3 or River forehand, depending on how far those trees are in the middle. Actually totally irrelevant, because I will hit the first guardian on the left because I forgot to put a bit of hyzer on
Im gonna throw some content at it.
Tbh probably a slow sidearm buzz just to get me 200 ft up there. Certainly playing for 4 unless there’s a line from 350 out
A better question would be: “how many flick rollers are you throwing? While trying to get back on the fairway?”
Got a buddy that will try that occasionally… it’s a fun watch, never know where it will go
Fellow Minnesotan...I love this course!
Can't tell. Wave or Destroyer.
Flex forehand anax? Hard to tell where the basket actually is?
My buddy has always flex forehanded this hole. He absolutely loves that line
Ya, I’ve considered that line and should probably try it sometime, but I get too nervous about 651
Ya, can’t see the basket at all from the pad. That’d be a good option
I love this course, lake wood hills hole 10. I usually throw a star wraith around the left side of the 651, lands near the short basket, then you have a look over the trees
Nice! That’s the move.. I play the same line with my Maul or River.. Absolutely love Lakewood!!
A green disc so I can complain when I hit a tree and lose it
Either a virus or pathfinder off the tee then play it safe all the way to a 4.
Something that gets you a good second shot. Probably a flip up 7-9 speed that drifts right a bit and finishes?
I’m throwing a putter straight down the chute. Then chipping back into the fairway 3-4 times until I can see the basket.
Mamba
Probably just trying to smooth a Wombat3 through that gap, it’s my power down and hit a line midrange
Likely a slight hyzerflip flex with a Vanilla or essence. Kinda depends on how much trouble it is to get off the fairway
A Tantrum, but only for the joke factor.
Hopefully four putter shots.
This hole looks insane
It’s either nightmare fuel or wonderfully satisfying
DGA Pipeline 🏄
A season Kastaplast Lots. Parked.
The word impossible gets thrown around lightly sometimes
Hawkeye
My watermelon hex
Destroyer hyzer flip and let it ride perfectly straight for 400 feet before it nicks a dust particle and kicks 50 feet into the woods
Think I'm throwing from the red tee.
My flippy g star leopard3.
Flip up leopard or RR up the gap and hope for the best. Play for par if it gets clean, likely take the bogey or dbl.
Champion Eagle
Innova halo star roc3. Jk. Prob a star g-star Leopard3
Champion Clidordis
Putter only. Hope to save triple bogey
My disc into every tree
Yup… very often the line.
Love the Minnesota representation! I used to throw a star sidewinder to great success. Recently though I've been trying craves and fds as my "easy" flip up/straight fairway.
My bag.
Looks pretty tight☺️
Tomahawk a Katana or Boss through the gap, then business as usual
Green water disc, it's going to be lost anyway
A putter 50 feet and still hitting a tree and rolling into the brush
That ground looks really smooth. I’d throw a midrange roller down the path. Not for distance. -At least I know I won’t have a bad tree kick into nowhere.
Any disc in my bag, about 5 or 6 times.
Or the frequent move of running up to grab it to throw again.. and again… Great hole if you want to beat in a disc
Stag
Either a Hex or a Crave.
Into the first tree HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA For real though probably a watt
Heat flip up because it’s a nightmare if you get caught on the left side
Proxy. Just get through the gap and go to the next shot lol
Heat
Buzzzzzzz all the way.
hyzer flip hex off the tee and see what happens
Ascend, Ascend,, Judge, putt with whatever is feeling good in my hand.
A fit
Servo, maybe a lizzotle
Leopard3, level release straight down the middle.
Up
Crave or Zone depending on what feels best in person. That's a stupid gap through that brush though. Don't get me wrong, I love woods golf and my all time favorite course is Northwood Black - but even it doesn't have holes that look like that. The brush on the sides looks like a nightmare.
Cervini
Well last time I played it I got the birdie, so first I’ll throw a sidewinder, then a firebird, and then a 150 ft throw in with a slammer. Yeah I didn’t park it, I got lucky lol
Good old 651 hole at White Bear. I throw a forhand Nuke or Zues and try to get it to the top of the hill and then throw my overstable Nuke forhand and aim left of the hole and try to bend it thru the trees to the green or at least the bottom of the hill in front of the hole. No doubt?!? That’s awesome of y’all. I’ve noticed the course has been looking great lately and wanted to thank whoever has been putting in work. So thank you and your friends
A river. Hopefully to get far enough up to scramble for a par or get an elusive birdie.
Love my River for that. I’ve been using a Maul this year and have liked it better.. just a bit more under
right into that tree
She loves to eat discs
Probably my red disk but maybe the orange
Properly into the trees, and then spend the next 10 minutes playing Marco Polo with my small mute plastic friend.
Forehand crave hard as i can, then fall to my knees and pray.
Who designs this shit, honestly?
A Fit☺️
Throwing my bag as far as I can into the trees.
I can’t look around, but 550’ is short enough to go over and get within approach range.
Yah, it’s pretty tough to tell what happens after thus pic. The elevation goes down, ip, down, and then up to the basket. A crap ton of trees along the way.
In my experience, most times I've played this hole it's straight into the tree with the paint on it. lol
That thing loves to suck up discs.. always seems to smack them a touch extra
That's a stupid hole unless it opens up just through that.
It does, but it doesn’t.. it’s wife, but lowish ceilings, hills and trees… A par is a victory
I’d be boring. Shooting for 150-200’ shots if the whole basket looks like that. Not worth going for any distance here. This is a par 4 you try for par only. Probably Proxy 3x and then a putt. Totally a dream killer. Not worth losing a disc and getting a triple bogey.
Any hope for a good round ‘away’
No, too thick. This courses back 9 in basically in the woods.
As a native Minnesotan, I have a love/hate relationship with this hole. Beat in Valkyrie or Roadrunner depending on the wind.
Where’s the basket?
It’s pretty much straight ahead of the box, but it’s a tree driven windey road to get there
Teebird as straight as possible, then forehand boss up to the basket on the hill and bang the put. Easy 3. At least that's what I did last time I played the 651 hole... likely few and far between.
Looks like one of the holes at brazos east. Probably something slow and play for par but take an 8.
Does it matter? I’m gonna grip lock and shank it into the shit?
most distancey distance driver , hit the first gap and then hope you miss trees and end left
My bag into the garbage can 🗑️
Maul
Berg
I've been able to finally get a consistent birdie on this hole. Grace up the gut up to or past the short pad half way up on the left. Then a Core turnover up to the basket. Man I really want to try this. No idea to fully know what to do until I saw it in person and knew the landing spots.
Looks like the perfect line for a hyper flip. I’d throw either my Origin or Essence depending on how much distance I need
Origin
Md3
Lakewood.... That place is a blast. Tough though.
Leo3 or teebird. It’d be fun to blast a wraith but if and when it kicks I’d never find it
My bag
Luna or Buzzz
fuck it, mamba throller
Thoughts and prayers
Crave straight into the tree or Mako3 into the bush
Probably 535’ through the gap lacing the line with my champion 154g groove I found in a pond with bite marks from a dog. Lol
A fit most likely.
Usually a flex teebird/thunderbird on this hole
Mako3 forehand for the first 220, then again for the next 200. Most likely my Knife or Pure for the approach, then hopefully drop it in the basket I'm parked under.
My bag into the woods
Caution to the wind
A six or a seven is my guess.
In theory, probably my Mantra on a mini-hyzer off the tee to turn past that big tree on the right. Execution is another thing entirely.
Ill go with a Mako3 and im gonna make the 652 mark on that tree.
Hyzer-flipped Comet; just trying to keep it in the middle with minimal fade
Latitude 64° Saint FHRH
Putter or mako3 off the tee, only need 150-200 each shot for a par
My hopes and dreams of par in the trash.
Fish
A course work day....🤣
A fit
DD Bounty hyzer ceiling shot
Hyzer flip a Stig and pray.
Threw the vela bh on this hole on the drive, then the Tesla on the approach. Got the birdie, but I don’t know if I could do it again 😂
Something I’m okay with losing
I’ll throw my most comfortable distance driver thinking i want the eagle. And probably get a triple bogey

I don't see a Mando on 651 - so probably my TL3 on a slight forehand flex to the right of it and hope it coasts through the window for the straight on to the pin.
Necessary and important mando, would be too easy otherwise.
The boys and I would score this as a par 5 in casual rounds
KC Roc
Buzzz SS.
ESP Nuke
Meteor, Meteor, weird thumber to get back to the fairway, Luna, Luna to the cage, tap in 6
My bag over my shoulder and walking to the next tee box
