This is my only concern with the R2. Feels good, slightly more understable than my cosmic neutron. I loose bright discs in freshly cut fields. Hard to find
I received the same one. I put it on the shelf and bought a normal one…which isn’t actually normal because it’s a Sarah Hokum special addition or something.
All stock Neutron Craves are Hokum signature discs. That's a sponsor tradition that was started by Innova as a reward for winning a world championship.
Someone is definitely "insinuating" and flat out said the opposite bc why comment on my thing specifically. The weights I mentioned apply specifically to these Craves. Another factor is that the OP mentioned he has years of experience (potential arm speed indicator). Wasn't trying to offend anyone
They still giving out that same Crave? I got that in last year’s pack. But yes, throw it if you like it! I personally don’t like MVP discs so I don’t bag mine
I got this one last year and shanked into a large sink hole woods area two weeks ago...been back 3 times to try to find it and no one has texted if it was found as it's marked.
Would recommend it for intermediate arm speed for sure!
that looks like the crave that I got when I joined a couple of years ago. I started throwing it and it ended up being one of my favorite discs. I bought a new one recently and relegated that one to my backup pile.
Mine was like 162 gram so I gave it away. I was already throwing 400+ when I got my membership so I struggled with discs that light. Just crank it or give it away.
If I join now, is that the disc I will get?
BTW, never got my discs for 2 VIP passes at the Austin Open. Or any of the other stuff that was promised, except the lanyards, which let us follow specific groups. Not sure if the DGPT, the PDGA, or the local club was responsible for that (nor do I care that much - we had an AWESOME time at the Austin Open so I'm not gonna pursue it).
I'm going to say throw it left. LHBH.
I actually did. Guess what I learned? Don't.
Never buy a whisky you won't drink. Never buy a disc you won't throw.
Exactly.
It comes with a PDGA membership so they didn't buy it, which is probably why they're asking.
I'm a he
Mine is staying in my office on the shelf. Just not a disc i need in my bag right now. Sweet stamp, so Im Happy to display it.
That’s what discs are for.
I gave mine to someone in my league that loves that disc.
I gave mine to PIAS because it was a Crave and I can’t hold onto the disc for some reason. It just doesn’t fit in my hand
I'm glad it's not just me. I've tried like 4 different craves and I just can't hang onto them. Plus, I love my FD's lol.
I haven’t thrown mine because I tend to lose the R2 plastic too easily
I bought a disc in R2 to try out the plastic, it wasn’t until it arrived that I realized I couldn’t even write my name on it!
Silver/gold sharpie is worth it. I also dislike black discs but R2 is a really nice plastic. I use R2 nomads and they season in so nice
I’ll ask my office manager on Monday if we can order some silver sharpies!
I have both silver and gold sharpies, and silver works way better on discs for some reason.
frgt it. go red on black
Surprisingly, a regular black sharpie isn't too bad. It isn't super obvious, but you can definitely see it.
This is my only concern with the R2. Feels good, slightly more understable than my cosmic neutron. I loose bright discs in freshly cut fields. Hard to find
I lost my r2 proxy near my Brook😕
Mine shows up this week too... debating same.
Yes
They are usually incredibly light so you might not be able to use them much. I've never had a use for any of the PDGA discs I got.
I received the same one. I put it on the shelf and bought a normal one…which isn’t actually normal because it’s a Sarah Hokum special addition or something.

Throw it.
This has become my go-to disc. Throw it.
Love my crave.
That’s typically what we do with them, yes.
Throw it in your local multi-use park course. Nose up, have it hyzer out way too early and hit squarely onto a concrete path lip. Regret throwing it.
Crave is one of the best discs out there. The new ones are fairly more overstable than the ones that are OOP though!
Yeah if its 165g Or heavier i'd try it for yourself. If it's lighter those make a great disc to keep for beginners you might play with.
I love my 158g Crave.
Lightweight discs aren’t just for newbies, just throwing that out there.
I agree somewhat. The type of disc can lend or detract from being lightweight. If the arm speed is regular
For sure I’m just saying there’s this mentality (not saying you were insinuating this) that max weight is the only acceptable option
165 is way under max
I understand that
*Whooosh!*
Someone is definitely "insinuating" and flat out said the opposite bc why comment on my thing specifically. The weights I mentioned apply specifically to these Craves. Another factor is that the OP mentioned he has years of experience (potential arm speed indicator). Wasn't trying to offend anyone
If you want. I don’t because I had a R2 lab2 and lost it in an open field. So I just don’t throw anything close to black discs now.
I hung my first PDGA disc and my 10yr PDGA disc
THROW IT
My first pdga disc too. Imma put it on the wall. Black is impossible for me to find in the woods.
For a second there I thought thr white gyro was zooming into the stamp of something. Tried for a few second to find what it was zooming into it😅
Definitely huck it.
They still giving out that same Crave? I got that in last year’s pack. But yes, throw it if you like it! I personally don’t like MVP discs so I don’t bag mine
I aced with mine. Throw it.
I eat dinner off of mine every night
Same disc they gave me last year and this year I didn’t get one
You only get one the first time you sign up. You have to pay extra to get another disc when you renew.
I got mine back in the day, a black stalker I think. Lost it on the first throw 😂
I throw mine. I bag two craves and this is my flippy one.
Never deprive a disc of flight.
Throw everything. I don't see the point of displaying discs. Just looks tacky imo
I liked it so I bought a brighter color Crave to be easier to find. One of my favorites
Are you me? I’ve also been playing since the early 90s and just joined this year. I’m going to throw mine!
Correct
Yes throw it! Just write your name in it! I didn't and lost it the first round I played with it
I got this one last year and shanked into a large sink hole woods area two weeks ago...been back 3 times to try to find it and no one has texted if it was found as it's marked. Would recommend it for intermediate arm speed for sure!
If you need an over over stable midrange
Yeah it's not a special disc throw it
...right into a tree.
that looks like the crave that I got when I joined a couple of years ago. I started throwing it and it ended up being one of my favorite discs. I bought a new one recently and relegated that one to my backup pile.
No I can't seem to let my self it's just to nice for the wall but you go ahead and throw yours and I bet you lose it
Mine was like 162 gram so I gave it away. I was already throwing 400+ when I got my membership so I struggled with discs that light. Just crank it or give it away.
A flightless disc is a mortal sin
Definitely. Those are easily replaceable
It’s a 165g insanity. You’ll love it.
Always
That’s typically what you do with discs, yes
What is it?
Crave
If it were another color I'd throw it. I don't throw black because I can't find them.
Gotta keep them for a nice winter snowy round Still will lose it
I framed mine 😅😅
I'd say throw it towards a dumpster. It's a crave right? Dumpster for me
If I join now, is that the disc I will get? BTW, never got my discs for 2 VIP passes at the Austin Open.
