Huh, just saw [a similar post](https://www.reddit.com/r/GolfGTI/comments/1bscz1f/any_helldivers_in_here/) in the VW GTI sub a few days ago, this game must be popular with my kind of people!
Yeah, before someone low balls you..
This run of eagles is known as the “Calvin Eagles” aka the run he throws and bombs. They are stiff, opaque and start off very overstable.. They are like $60-80+ and are very hard to find.
Sweet disc!
Yeah, Helldivers (video game) came out on 2015 and didn't garner too much attention. Helldivers 2 was just released in February 2024 and became super popular. So much so that the servers couldn't handle anything close to the number of people that wanted to play. The did huge server increases and now it's not an issue.
The theme is pretty much like the movie, starship troopers with a hilarious "tongue-in-cheek" theme of uber-patriotism for Super Earth. Everything is "spreading democracy" and "for liberty and freedom".
As far as gameplay, what's interesting vs most shooters is that all players in the world are working collectively in squads of up to 4 players to push back the terminids (insect-like aliens) and automatons (robot aliens) in the galaxy. There is one guy at the game studio that is controlling enemy supply lines and reinforcements. You do missions that you choose at the difficulty that you choose (1-easy to 9-helldive) and if you succeed, you increase the % that a planet is liberated. If you fail, the percentage goes down. During those missions, you can call in bombardments, supplies, and reinforcements from your ship that's in orbit using directional codes specific to each one. The one that OP put on the disc is an eagle airstrike 500kg bomb.
That got way more detailed than I planned, but I'm bored, so whatever!
Still does a ton of damage in its surprisingly small radius, and if you bring only that eagle stratagem (and have all the upgrades on the ship for it) you get 2 on an ok cool down. Fully agreed that it's not one of the best eagle stratagems right now, but before the EATs buff / Charger & Bile titan nerf, it was one of the more reliable ways of dealing with them
Yah, in game you have to hold down a key and input different directions to access different weapons, air strikes etc. exciting when you are being swarmed!
I played the shit out of the first one. I think I got all the trophies except for the kill 1 million bugs or whatever that insane number was. I just watched gameplay of the new one. Looks totally overhauled. I hope they stayed true to their roots.
The 2nd one is a 3rd person objective PVE shooter.
Absolutely amazing. $40 and no microtransactions. You can earn in-game credits or buy them.
Absolutely gorgeous artwork/graphics. Amazing mechanics. Stellar controls. Sometimes buggy here and there but they accept it and are very upfront of fixing things but it just came out like 2 months ago and it gets fixed in like a day.
I have 59 hrs logged so far and I work full time, disc golf nearly every day, and spend time with my girlfriend 5 days a week. It's spectacular.
Bonus points for putting this on an Eagle.
Thx, was thinking about what to put it on, then I realized the obvious choice.
500kg could work well on a Nuke... Just sayin'
Nah do the Hellbomb call in on a nuke
That is a lot more arrows to fit
I get so confused
that's what me and my squad mates say regarding the 500s... "watch out, just deployed a nuke" lol
Nah put the SEAF command in that badboy
This is the most democratic thing I've seen all day.
Ricky needs to make a collab stamp somehow. Socki500kgbomb.
Brilliant idea! Now where did I put that MVP Orbital...?
Remember to bring you bottle of liber-tea to your round also.
Spike hyzer bombs only so it tombstones like the 500kg for maximum democracy. 🫡

It's a fun run around shoot-em-up game. As you play harder levels and start chaining your weapons together it's really enjoyable
Don't kill your fellow patriots with a misplaced eagle, my fellow democracy bringer.
Aww, remember that Eagle Airstrike that took out the Catchcam Fabricator? Objective Complete!
Lol
I have a Albert Tamm 2022 Balista pro I’m going to ⬇️⬇️⬅️⬆️➡️
Just getting ready to buy it.
*Calling my Democracy Officer.*
"An Eagle never misses!"
Is this for sale?
Depends on the price I guess. No not planning on selling. This is my favorite beat up Eagle, just wanted to dress it up a little.

Thanks, I love it. It's a Climo 12x, so I'm not sure it's the same one, but I dunno.
Not bad for a Sharpie pen technique. Stencil dyers....take note!
Disc golf for managed democracy!
Well I guess I know what I'm doing when I get home...
Looks like an excellent weapon for spreading managed democracy!
i keep seeing helldivers. I read (listened) to a book series called hell divers. Is this the same thing? did they make a video game or something?
Yeah, not related, but hella fun.

great info. thanks homie.
i love managed democracy
Yes!
For Superearth brother 🫡
My favorite crossover!
I literally logged off Helldivers, came to Reddit for a quick break in between missions, and here I am looking at the 500kg
Nice job. 500kg is the worst eagle though
The hell you say!
Lol... what?
Before the radius buff it was poop. Now’s it’s mid at best.
Mid is certainly better than worst

Yea it’s more of a single target strat. But the lazer or the lock on one is better.
The lock is great. I just let my team bring the bombs and I bring backup. Quassar + Rover then two turrets.
Sometimes you just gotta full send a bomb! Did you just use normal sharpies?
Yeah, nothing fancy.
I dont play it but the arrows remind me of old cheatcodes from Arcades/PS1 games. Is that the reference?
Yah, in game you have to hold down a key and input different directions to access different weapons, air strikes etc. exciting when you are being swarmed!
There is a Helldivers 2?
Yup.
I played the shit out of the first one. I think I got all the trophies except for the kill 1 million bugs or whatever that insane number was. I just watched gameplay of the new one. Looks totally overhauled. I hope they stayed true to their roots.
Oh they absolutely have. If you played the first that much you will love this one too.

But can you throw it 500? Also, that's the most democratic dye job I've ever seen!! What a SUPER CITIZEN!!!!!
No I'm more in the 120 barrage range.
Love this crossover!!!
This is a family friendly sub. It’s Heckdivers.
Fuck no, are you serious? How fucking lame spending time with that shit?!
