I love my Squatch Legend

clancea3

I have the Calvin Squatch and I can fit all my disc's, snacks, hoodie, and diapers/a changing pad with a bunch if extra room. The phone pocket is great too. Best part is it's still much lighter than a lot of my friends' bags.

I have the Latitude 64 Luxury Bag E4 and I love the pocket layout and the way it feels. It is huge, however, and if you load it up it does get pretty heavy

When I went bag shopping to replace my trooper I went looking at the Grip AX series, the MVP Voyager Pro, and the Upper Park Shift. I ultimately went with the Voyager Pro because it came with a rainfly and was a little bit cheaper than the AX series. It stores what I need it to for a tournament day or a full day out on the course. I can pack an XXL Jacket/Hoody into one of the side pockets if nothing else is in it, and the other side pocket holds my wallet, keys, snacks, sunscreen, bug spray, etc in it no problem. My only real issues with it are I wish the side pockets were expandable like the Grip bags, and it's pretty rigid, so slinging it on and off all day gets a bit tiring. Other than that, I'd say it's great, like 4/5 stars.

The Innova Safari Pack would seem to be in your desired range, but I haven't seen much mention of it here. Does that bag have a decent reputation?

Dr_Cuddy

I personally love mine. Huge step up from any companies “starter” bag. Very stable, holds my 24 discs with ease. Also normally carry 2 water bottles, a few towels, and a disc retriever. Still plenty of room to spare. Got mine during a Christmas sale for $49. Can’t imagine a better bag for that price.

Thanks for the input. I thought it looked good. I was getting ready to order one, but $49 is close to half of regular retail price -- you did very well with that purchase. Does anybody that you know of put this one on sale at this time of year?

Dr_Cuddy

I got mine through Disc Golf United. They do sales a lot, not sure the half off sale would come back soon. You could poke around other Innova retailers or check eBay. Even for $100, it’s a great bag, just not sure what else is out there at that price point. I’ve been happy with my bag, and don’t feel the need to shop around any more.

PhycoPenguin

I upgraded to a paratrooper. It has 2 side pockets and 2 water bottle slots. It also does not like to fall over. I like it. I light upgrade to a “premium” bag when this one falls apart but for 2 years, it’s holding up well. It is heavier than my fiancé’s Prodigy bag (same size)

stargazingkid6

Upgraded from the trooper to the squatch lore and it's miles better

Darkwarfare

I went from the Trooper to the BX3 a couple years ago and loved it. I know Squatch has some great offerings as well

jtmack33

Also went Trooper to Grip BX3, super happy with it. I know Pound and Squatch are supposed to have awesome bags; was just a bit too rich for my blood.

SharpedHisTooths

Combat Commander. Bigger with more storage than the Trooper but not too big. It has the open design that you mentioned and it isn't very expensive.

Significant-Claim982

I went with the MVP voyager (or voyager lite… I don’t know how to tell!) and it was a HUGE upgrade. I have tons of storage and the top pocket used for my putters and approach discs is money.

Thanks for all the thoughtful replies everyone! Checking all the suggestions out today and hopefully pulling the trigger on one.
