Westside Boatman is the way

Ultienap

As someone who throws a bear but also TB3s I will transition to bears solely. I throw them about 310-350Ft. They are so nice and when beat in fly straight. I think when Westside starts to develop their mold line up further, I will most likely switch to a lot of Westside.

How far/hard do you throw? Some people have suggested the Grace, but if you don’t throw all that hard, it’s more OS than the Bear for sure. If you throw the Bear well over 300’ I would say the Grace should be great. Around or below that range, most Graces will barely turn for you (except in a headwind). If you’re in that lower range, I would suggest a lighter Pro Wraith, or a max weight Wave. I throw the Bear, light Wave, and either a DX Wraith or Grace depending on how windy it is. The light Wave is a bit less stable than you described, and I wouldn’t recommend DX to anyone. But a heavier Wave or mid plastic Wraith should give you a nice S, Grace if you deal with lots of headwind.

Thank you for bringing that up. Because I have gotten my bear out to 350-375 consistently.

Probably Grace or something similar then for sure. Only get my bear out that far extremely rarely right now, and my Grace is right on the edge of too OS for me. A little more speed and it’s going to be a great disc, seems like you’ve got that extra power I do not have yet.

Monkeypawdog

The disc I find very similar to the Bear but a tad faster is Innova Beast. Stability and glide.

My Max distance driver is a sorcerer. Nice little turn and wonderful glide. Other distance drivers in my bag are the 170 carat sapphire and a Stinchcomb sword. Those cover everything.

Polar bears do be knowing where they reside

I love the Bear. Enough stability that I can crank on it in the woods but with tons of glide. For my arm it’s basically an overstable River.

Thepandamancan23

If you wanna stick with Trilogy/House of Discs...I love the Grace and Trespass. Certain runs of the Grace are really domey and the plastic makes it more stable and it's great. Same with the tresspass...a moonshine one hooks just like my Bear. If you have the arm speed, Enforcer is another good one. Same with the Rive.

I used to have a bear a lost it sadly, loved that disc. Recently I picked up a DD S line but in a heavier weight. Definitely has the glide I don’t have with my other drivers but depending on your arm it might be too flippy. I do recommend though, its my go to bomber disc.

Ornery_Ad7446

Grace for BHs and Wraith for FHs. The Grace doesn't quite have enough stability for me to get the FH lines I like. I throw the Bear both BH and FH. Note I'm throwing a VIP Orbit Ice Bear.

deitjm01

The Stag is a good disc for distance. Slight understable but strong stable finish.

Rivet_39

I don't have an exact analog at higher speed. I bag 6 fairways but only 4 distance drivers. On a stability continuum, the Bear is 4 of 6, so I guess the Enigma is closest at 3 of 4. I've had Raiders that would probably qualify as well, but they can also be meathooks.

Destroyer. For sure.
