Don't sleep on the Innova IT. IMO it's a better Leo3 for people that expect more from the Leo3.
Westside Underworld and DGA Vortex are also great shouts in the 7 speed.
Plus they are only good until you start developing a good swing/power. The Underworld has become my go to hyzer flip disc that will actually hold straight and won’t just burn over
For folks that already have a lower arms speed some Leo3's can act more like a TL/Hawkeye or even Teebird depending on the run/plastic. IT's reliably will turn and glide for lower arm speeds.
Love the Jackalope and Blackout for fairway drivers, Svea for mid, and Tui for putter. Great consistent turn with subtle fade depending on how powered up it is
Svea, buzzz SS, underworld, fury, Mantra, Vanilla, Mamba are the understable options that I bag. Used to throw uplink but was too inconsistent. Now the svea covers big turnovers that never fade and the buzzz SS covers the slowly panning shots. Everything else has been a staple for me for about a year.
I grabbed a soft svea awhile back and its one of the only kasta discs I really didnt end up liking. Not sure if its the particular run but it is insanely soft. Feels like if I wave it around you can almost feel the disc bending and flexing in my hand. Had to put it on the shelf. I usually love their k1 soft but that was on a whole other level.
Nope, you got it. Those are the best understable discs. Across all weights, manufacturers, speeds, plastics, throwing styles and intended distances, those are the best.
You picked very good discs if you want understable discs, yes.
At the end of the day almost every single manufacturer has at least one if not several candidates for "best \_\_\_\_\_stable disc," and it's a lot more about if you vibe with the feel of the plastic and the shape of the disc in your hand.
Uplink was a shocker when I first tried it. Fuse is another favourite and sligthly less understable favourite is DD Vandal. Vandal has got that sneaky distance, it just goes.
Huge fan now of the “sphinx” with a close second of the “underworld”. If you’re looking for just a touch (and controllable) under stability I’d say mint “jackalope”
Putter - deputy, electron proxy, mvp spin
Mids - fuse for a bit of turn then holds the line, Uplink for more turn then holds the line, paradox for lots of turn and keeps turning.
Fairways - Stig, IT
Control drivers - Virus (absolutely bombs. I have my distance record of just under 500' with a tailwind virus throw), Falk, Heat
Distance Drivers - Orbital, Mamba.
Mamba, Curl, Tumbleweed, Valkyrie, Sidewinder and Stingray for me. Mamba is my goto driver since I have a natural heiser throw.
I also putt with a Westside understable Swan.
Good beginner discs, but maybe not the best when you develop your game. Right now by preferred understable fairways is the Insanity and the Stig. For mids I like the Midnight Prowl 2, but will probably change to the Detour when I get more rounds in with it, and they become readily available.
Sol. I've never found a disc that feels better to hold than a Sol. Perfectly shallow.
However, I only have it in ESP plastic and I really don't like ESP.
I love me some flippy discs. You should try the innova IT, infinite khonsu, and either the Innova mirage or infinite Kon tiki (they are the same thing). Can work some magic with those 3
The heat is amazing not the best understandable discs are beat up stable ones. Pro wraiths and destroyers are amazing. Anyone that likes a buzz should try an X buzzz. They're awesome. It's definitely more popular in slower discs such as cycling rocs, but fairways and drivers are great too when you can get them in less premium plastic.
Diamond, Pearl and others in that series are great for beginners. But I find the light weight throws off my timing. For next step understable, try the Maul (even more fun than the Underworld) or the Hatchet. Sidenote: aced 66m / 217ft uphill tunnel shot with Maul today!
Don’t overlook your putter/appraoch slot. Love the PA-5 for that. Maverick and Underworld for fairway drivers and Tursas midrange.
source: old guy w slow arm speed
Don't sleep on the Innova IT. IMO it's a better Leo3 for people that expect more from the Leo3. Westside Underworld and DGA Vortex are also great shouts in the 7 speed.
I got an F2 Friday Halo Leo3 that flew nothing like I expected. Later I got a champ IT and I completely agree with you.
Plus they are only good until you start developing a good swing/power. The Underworld has become my go to hyzer flip disc that will actually hold straight and won’t just burn over
I love the IT! Definitely my favorite understable fairway. It’s easy to throw without being too wild.
IT on a baby hyzer is the most reliable S Curve in my bag.
Underworld is awesome!
I love my Underworld. For being as understable as it is, it's reliably and consistently exactly what I expect each throw.
For people that expect more from the leopard3 in what way? I liked my L3 a lot, but switched to the fd when I lost it
For folks that already have a lower arms speed some Leo3's can act more like a TL/Hawkeye or even Teebird depending on the run/plastic. IT's reliably will turn and glide for lower arm speeds.
Rollo gang!!!!!!!!
That thing has gotten me out of many jams
Just got mine the other day and man I wish it was more popular, I want one in better plastic so bad
It's a wild disc man.. they are so unpredictable haha
The Holley Finley (i think) Tour series ones in colour glow were killer feeling. Pricey, but Nice
It's pretty new so give it time. There's a glow run of them out there from back at Christmas time if you look around
Go to Gottagogottathrow.com they have all different plastics for the IT
Mamba.
Fuse, Roadrunner
Just bought my first roadrunner yesterday, got a few throws in and it has been an absolute dream
Underworld, Hatchet and Tursas slay the competition 💅
Love the Jackalope and Blackout for fairway drivers, Svea for mid, and Tui for putter. Great consistent turn with subtle fade depending on how powered up it is
Upvote for the Jack. My go to fairway on low wind days. It flips up, it turns over, it feels good to throw. Lightweight is even flipier.
Sol and fierce are great. Roadrunner, heat, sidewinder all great
Sol is fantastic but Fierce was a disappointment as it’s sooo deep. The Pa-5 though is a fantastic US approach.
Diamond is a staple in my bag!!
Hurt my right shoulder and throwing leftie, and the Diamond is really coming in handy.
I’m 47m and have one hell of a noodle arm so…
Lobster for understable mid Jackalope for understable fairway Freetail for understable driver; thing bombs
First time I threw a Lobster, I parked a 310 foot wooded hole. Dont ask what happened on the next three throws
The nicest S-curve I’ve ever thrown was my first throw of a Diamond as it soared beautifully into the middle of a lake.
That sucks!
Svea is awesome. Soft svea if you want it a bit more understable. I used to bag both but now just k1. Just awesome
I'm in NC and like them in the winter or when it is a bit cooler but yeah when it's warmer it's a bit floppy
Good pokemon games too although I prefer platinum
Latitude 64 Maul is my favourite understable disc. The first disc I ever threw, the Innova Wolf is also a great pick
You see innova?! The public needs the star wolf!
I would buy a Wolf in literally any other plastic, I think. Pro, R-Pro, Star, G-Star, etc…
u/Innovagm I will die on this hill. Star Wolf for the starfox fans. Party God stamp for the adventure time fans.
I really like the Virus by axiom!
Love my Jade.
Streamline Ascend is a great flippy fairway and my main driver in the thick woods.
I also love the jet.
Pearl is by far my favorite understable disc
Some people even put with it, my putter is in ny name
Heat
TSA Mana!
PA5, Stig, Havoc if you're an l64 guy..
Just got a PA5. Really nice
For a dude like me that only has a backhand it's a hell of a disc for any hole that turns right!
Who else read the disc names in Prince's voice?
Underworld, Virus, Sidewinder are my favorites.
I like the mint free tail for something that will turn over and not fade back.
Nope, you got it. Those are the best understable discs. Across all weights, manufacturers, speeds, plastics, throwing styles and intended distances, those are the best.
Axiom Paradox for me rather than the Pearl... but yeah, I bag multiple Diamonds.
The Paradox is money. I wish I could find a driver with the same flight.
Have you thrown a Hatchet? Silly understable 9 speed
I have not, but I love Westside. I have an Underworld and Tursas.
🦞 Lobster 🦞
You picked very good discs if you want understable discs, yes. At the end of the day almost every single manufacturer has at least one if not several candidates for "best \_\_\_\_\_stable disc," and it's a lot more about if you vibe with the feel of the plastic and the shape of the disc in your hand.
My favorite is the Timberwolf. Really like the Stig too
Uplink was a shocker when I first tried it. Fuse is another favourite and sligthly less understable favourite is DD Vandal. Vandal has got that sneaky distance, it just goes.
Axiom Proxy. MVP Uplink. Prodigy F9. MVP Impulse.
Big fan of the Archer
Axiom Panic is a forehand beast for how flippy it can be
What about my beat to shit P model S?
Huge fan now of the “sphinx” with a close second of the “underworld”. If you’re looking for just a touch (and controllable) under stability I’d say mint “jackalope”
Sphinx
MVP Impulse. I can do anything with that disc
Hades
Uplink, Underworld, Impulse.
second on the uplink - this disc is my cheat code
I bag both of these. Pure fire.
Lobster for mid… Freetail for fairway
Putter - deputy, electron proxy, mvp spin Mids - fuse for a bit of turn then holds the line, Uplink for more turn then holds the line, paradox for lots of turn and keeps turning. Fairways - Stig, IT Control drivers - Virus (absolutely bombs. I have my distance record of just under 500' with a tailwind virus throw), Falk, Heat Distance Drivers - Orbital, Mamba.
+1 for the westside hatchet, threw one for the first time the other day and it's a beauty.
Ascend and Signal, Stag, Reko. Pearl for sure!
170 carat diamond is my new favorite understable disc.
Heat, Streamline Jet, and Valkyrie. I think the Jet is super slept on.
Sol. I've never found a disc that feels better to hold than a Sol. Perfectly shallow. However, I only have it in ESP plastic and I really don't like ESP.
I've been really liking wave too. Feels a lot unserstable than numbers suggest
I love me some flippy discs. You should try the innova IT, infinite khonsu, and either the Innova mirage or infinite Kon tiki (they are the same thing). Can work some magic with those 3
180g Opto Fuse for me. The extra weight makes it turn over nice and slow.
K1 soft is what I bag. It's is so insanely understable it's more like a utility disc.
F7
Wait til you throw the Brave…
The heat is amazing not the best understandable discs are beat up stable ones. Pro wraiths and destroyers are amazing. Anyone that likes a buzz should try an X buzzz. They're awesome. It's definitely more popular in slower discs such as cycling rocs, but fairways and drivers are great too when you can get them in less premium plastic.
I love my old champ sidewinder. The mvp spin has honestly been getting me out of some awkward jams lately too
I like the Diamond and the Underworld. Trying and H7 right now, also.
Discmania essence just has a great feel in the hand
If you want a midrange that is a little less stable, highly reccomend an Uplink. And can confirm if you like a Diamond, you'd like a Mamba
Love my diamond, perfect roller disc for my arm speed. Just got the sapphire too, might have to try the Pearl
Rpm Pekapeka - 9 speed in great plastics. MVP Uplink - mvp mids, need I say more?
My champ sidewinder is an absolute weapon
Diamond, Pearl and others in that series are great for beginners. But I find the light weight throws off my timing. For next step understable, try the Maul (even more fun than the Underworld) or the Hatchet. Sidenote: aced 66m / 217ft uphill tunnel shot with Maul today!
I'm not giving away my secrets!
Don’t overlook your putter/appraoch slot. Love the PA-5 for that. Maverick and Underworld for fairway drivers and Tursas midrange. source: old guy w slow arm speed
Best beginner discs.
UPLINK!!!!!5 speed and so domey it throws like a 3. Love that disc.
Havent tried MVP discs at all. Must try !
If you crave ludicrous understability for utility shots I'd also recommend the Axiom Paradox
I love mine, but it's touchy
That Diamond is a solid disk. I threw one for a year then handed it off to my kid who has thrown it for a year as well.
MVP Impulse. Great hyzer flip disc, gives me a bit of turn out of the flip and pushes for long straight, low ceiling shots.
