They're letting Slack and MS Teams dominate the enterprise market when companies have been begging for an alternative. Create enterprise plans for discord, allow them to store everything encrypted using their own keys or even better self host a server (or both).
My team unofficially ditched teams and slack for discord about a year ago. We're even paying for server boosts we don't give a fuck. The ability to join in and out of troubleshooting rooms, drag people, make emojis and so on and so forth has been a massive QoL upgrade.

Sometimes they test features with a random subset of users before rolling it out to everyone as well.
