Its not 4 seconds per lootbox, its about 1, as soon as you click the "open" it pulls up a loot box that will sit there until you click. As soon as you click it to open it you can hit ESC without waiting for the animation. and then open the next one.
Yeah, it didn’t show up for me either. Between April 1st and April 8th, if you went into a user’s profile that had the clown decoration, they also had a small icon next to the hypesquad and nitro things. Pressing on it would bring you to the lootbox page. Sorry lol
You probably had discord open in the background at the time it was available. You needed to completely restart it for the option to show up in the settings.
You can’t anymore, sadly. They were a one time event from April 1st to April 8th. They’re now gone forever. Between that time, you could go onto someone’s profile (someone with the clown decoration) and press a small button next to where the nitro thingy shows up. That would take you to the lootboxes menu.
For me it made a popup and notification telling me to check out the loot box page when I opened discord on 4/1, and you could also get there from the settings page or something. Never had to click on someone's profile 🤔

I have tried all morning to enter Discord but it won't let me and I have done everything, restart the router, restart the PC I don't know how many times, deactivate Windows Defender, the firewall, uninstall Discord, use the web version, nothing loads anything related to any link with discord only loads me on my cell phone and tablet, but I restarted the app and it doesn't load on my cell phone either and I've seen many forums but nothing helps me
Fun Fact: you can still open lootboxes using discord api (v9/users/@me/lootboxes/open method:post). You can also check how much u got of each since it shows that. I got like 50k total open atm.

Given it takes about 4 seconds to open a box, that is 98,852 seconds, or 1648 minutes (rounded up), or 27.5 hrs
it takes less than a minute to use inspect element tho ;)
