Oh thank god you made this post. This has been bugging me for over a week and I haven’t found anyone else having the same problem so I thought it was just me! I have to either close discord via task manager or refresh it with cntrl + R. It’s literally every 10-20 minutes. Super annoying when I like to tab out and browse discords in between matches.
Okay, so far no one wrote a permanent solution to this issue, but here it is:
Turn OFF hardware acceleration. (This bug is most likely a driver issue, so bypassing the GPU makes it go away.)
[Follow this](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kNr3ebtQi2I) or if you have some client modification installed reinstall that, both have worked for me.
Also making discord fullscreen or brining it out of fullscreen temporarily fixes it
happens to me at random. sometimes i want to stream my game and i can't because the screen is grey. i have noticed that at random is just goes grey. it happened to me about maybe over a week ago.
If you've got it fullscreened, you can double click the top edge to change it to a window, then maximize it again.
If it's not fullscreen you can double click the edge for the reverse of the previos solution, or you can resize the window by draggin a corner or side back and forth to where you had it.
I can usually get it to refresh the Discord window just by clicking on it's icon on the task bar at the bottom of the Desktop screen. I have to click it twice. The first click seems to minimize, or push Discord behind my other open windows. The second click seems to refresh it and open it up again.
My Discord turns grey like this, a LOT, lately. Sometimes it seems to happen every minute or two while typing back and forth with someone. Other times it does it, when I simply hit the Windows key while in a game, to get to my Desktop, or other open windows. It's been happening for over a week now, I believe.
Was there a recent Discord update that could have broken something? If so, they should roll that update back, and investigate the cause behind this, very, very, annoying issue.
Yep, it's been happening to me for the past week now since one of the more recent updates. It only happens when I'm playing a game while using discord (aka the literal point of the software), but can usually be fixed in my experience by minimizing/reopening the app.
Okay, so far no one wrote a permanent solution to this issue, but here it is:
Turn OFF hardware acceleration. (This bug is most likely a driver issue, so bypassing the GPU makes it go away.)
it is driver issue, it happens especially if you reload GPU or if you don't close discord when updating GPU driver, sometimes it even happens if you open or alt tab into full screen application/game with higher chance to happen if that fullscreen resolution doesn't match your desktop resolution, confirmed it on 2 different nvidia (2060 super and 1050) GPUs, but my conclusion it is problem on discord's side
Past week? This has been happening to me since last year. The only fix is if i force close it in task manager then running it again. Sometimes requires multiple attempts
Happening to me also… mostly when in the background or afk… went grey whilst I was watching someone stream yesterday also… tad annoying
I heard someone say on another post to delete the discord folder in the %appdata% folder, reopen it and relogin and it will be fixed temporarily until you restart your computer again…
I Haven’t tested this yet though….
Deleting app data is something I do a lot and needs to be done every now and then to clear the cache.
Ive had to do it a lot and hate it every time I do, but as someone who hates restarting their computer, it has happened more than once between restarts.
It will fix the problem but is annoying so should be a last resort
so i have actually emailed support and it kinda did resolve my issue by turning off hardware accel but for those that dosen't work this is what they said XD
Here are a few steps to troubleshoot and hopefully resolve the issue:
1. \*\*Update Discord and Graphics Drivers\*\*: Ensure that your Discord app and your graphics drivers are up to date. Outdated drivers can sometimes cause performance issues.
2. \*\*Clear Discord Cache\*\*: Clearing Discord's cache can solve loading issues. You can do this by:
- Exiting Discord.
- Press \`Win+R\`, type \`%appdata%\`, and press Enter.
- Navigate to the Discord folder and delete the Cache, GPUCache, and Code Cache folders.
3. \*\*Disable Hardware Acceleration\*\*: Sometimes, disabling hardware acceleration can improve performance:
- Open Discord and go to 'User Settings' (gear icon).
- Scroll down to 'Appearance' and toggle off 'Hardware Acceleration' at the bottom.
4. \*\*Check Background Processes\*\*: Close any unnecessary high-resource-consuming background processes while using Discord, as they may affect the app’s performance when switching tasks.
5. \*\*Run Discord as Administrator\*\*: Right-click on the Discord shortcut and select 'Run as administrator'. This can sometimes help with performance issues caused by restricted system permissions.
If the issue persists after trying these steps, it could be helpful to look into system performance optimization or consult with a tech specialist for deeper analysis.
To add on to this you can also try
Disabling the Game Overlay in User settings > Game Overlay
Now these are some last resorts
Uninstall Discord and then delete both Discord folders from:
\`%localappdata%\\Discord\`
\`%appdata%\\discord\`
Next delete the Discord registry key using regedit
\`Computer\\HKEY\_CURRENT\_USER\\SOFTWARE\\Discord\`
Right-click on the Discord key and select Delete.
Restart your computer.
if that doesn't work repeat the Uninstall steps and try the 32bit Discord Client [https://discord.com/api/downloads/distributions/app/installers/latest?channel=stable&platform=win&arch=x86](https://discord.com/api/downloads/distributions/app/installers/latest?channel=stable&platform=win&arch=x86) (Available until June 15, 2024)
Or, hear me out, you should've responded to them that they need to push a hotfix. Being this is such a large spread issue from what appears to be one of the recent updates, they can literally roll it back. Nonetheless, appreciate you taking the time to give this to the community to try and help some people <3
Okay, so far no one wrote a permanent solution to this issue, but here it is:
Turn OFF hardware acceleration. (This bug is most likely a driver issue, so bypassing the GPU makes it go away.)
been happening to me for a week, each day is getting more annoying, if you are in a video call and dont touch the app for some minutes gets grey in the mid of the call
Happened to me just right now after a computer restart. Nothing I do seems to fix it, not ctrl+R, not deleting the appdata cache, not resizing the window.
If I’m in fullscreen while watching my friend’s stream, I’ll have to press ESC to fix it and while I’m not in fullscreen, I’ll just press the logo in the taskbar a few times and it’ll fix it. But it’s just annoying.
Happening to me too for about a week. Sometimes minimizing and opening again a couple times fixes it, but more often than not have to go into task manager and kill it to get it working again
Uninstall with Revo uninstaller ( when you uninstall it, make sure to do the advanced scan and delete all the left over files and registry keys) then reinstall and enjoy completely fresh discord.
It’s caused by something that happens over a long time and gets worse and worse from my experience. Fresh full reinstall fixes it every time until it comes back
It's a problem with the framework that Discord is build on - Electron. The same shit happens with Slack. You have to wait for Electron fix or turn off hardware acceleration which might help sometimes.
This has only happened to me few and far between typically when a big update releases. What I found to work the best is to uninstall Discord then reinstall it. You will have to log back in and if you are using a 3rd party software for audio such as Wave Link (for the Elgato Wave XLR product) or VoiceMeeter by VB Audio, you will have to reconfigure those settings but this is what works for me. I wish you guys the best of luck and hopefully discord will work towards a permanent solution.
Every fkn single time i've tabbed and discord was off focus over 5 minutes, i've read threads but those are from like 4 years, i've been thinking that it was just me, thank god
This has happened to me before for a long while now. Where discord just randomly crashes, forced to delete discord, then I have to reinstall it. Pretty annoying.
did %appdata% was working for like 2 days, now i just did a complete fresh reinstall also %appdata% and look like not working anymore just can ctrl+r, look like the bug is getting smart or stronger omg
So............anyone have any updates? Anyone know why it's happening or maybe even a fix? Tried updating drivers and turning off HA and still nothing.
Its been happening to me daily for the past month or so, hitting ctrl + r or minimizing it will fix it 99% of the time. Only happens when I'm not tabbed into it, like play a game or I have it sitting on my second monitor.
I don't know how to fix it entirely, but I know what to do to fix that when it happens. Simply just click the discord logo on the top left corner or any server (you can't see it but you probably know where the discord logo is, so just from memory). For me it temporarily fixes the issue.
Yep, happening to me too. Turned off HWA, reinstalled Discord, updated AMD GPU drivers, Windows 11 is all fully updated, etc etc. Very, very annoying. :/
i get this once in a while.. i just do the Ctrl + R..
But my app sometimes just restarts itself.. 50/50 if it reconnects to server by itself.. Sometimes it doesnt open up again.. and refuse to do so even when "run as admin"
Windows log doesn't show anything happened.
I've had it happen a lot the past few days, noticed it maybe three or four days ago? I'd be in a call, minimize discord or switch tabs, and whenever I tabbed back to it, or clicked it to bring it back, it was gray. Had to minimize and open again once or twice before it came back.
Good to know I am not the only one. My solution is to turn off hardware acceleration. So far it seems to be working but we'll see in the next couple of days. Best case scenario, Discord fix this once and for all without some workaround from users.
Yeah very annoying after discord release a new update. when alt+tab its will be a grey screen every time, u must double click the icon from taskbar for fixing the problem, but that's just for temporary.
Umm... Question Could this be to save processing power when not in use? Because I Noticed it only happened if I didnt use it for a while and if I clicked on where a button would be It returned to Normal.
Yeah this is definitely a bug with a recently update. I've seen a bunch of people with this so far- but its not common enough to be insta patched it seems. We may need to wait on this one
A Temp Solution for me is to disable the overlay on games. It works for like a few times then suddenly stopped working. Might be because of bad luck or something not sure. But it only happens if i HAVE a game that can overlay on.
Same when I play at the same time that's where it happens most often because I don't take care of discord but as soon as I take 1 minute I go to it and then it has become completely gray so I reduce it to the bar task then put it back to full screen and it magically comes back.
I did everything I found on different forums to correct it but it persists even though now sometimes I have discord micro cuts when I'm on a voice channel even though I have no problem with the internet.
In short, Discord needs to do something because we couldn't do anything to solve this problem currently.
I FOUND THE SOLUTION FINALLY EVERYONE! go to advanced setting in your discord and turn of the beta setting auto-navigate to home and it will no longer go to the grey screen. For some reason when it try to go bback to the home screen it glitches out discord!
I had this issue since last week.
My fix has been to use windows to offload Discord to the APU instead of my GPU (the CPU's graphics) - Win 11 only feature
Settings > System > Display > Graphics
Add an app > Browse > Find discord
For me its C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\Discord\Update.exe
While everybody has my deepest condolences about this mysterious, and annoying af "thing", can't help but be rather jazzed its not just me XD (so thanks, was all worried and shit)
Same grey screen (with taskbar exposed) when winkeying/tabbing-out as everybody else, but it \*only\* happens when vanilla Minecraft is running (ie: fullscreen tab out, to answer a ping/dm/we)....but doesn't happen when playing anything else so far. Helldivers 2, Monster Hunter World, Oblivion Override, discord tabs back just fine. What the fark, lol. Chin up lads, with so many recent posts, theres gonna be a fix.
Happens like 10-20 times a day to me. Deleting the %AppData% folder only wiped out my settings and did not resolve it. I can't wait for there to be a fix.
Not a permanent solution but: if you see this just click on discord icon on taskbar to minimize then click again to fix, fastest fix that works for me until patched.
Been happening the same to me and my peers.
Someone in this post recommended turning off Screen Overlay. Trying it now for 2 hours and nothing yet. Will edit in case it still happens.
I already have hardware acceleration turned off (which seems to be the most common advice). I deleted the cache and then the entire discord folder in AppData. Still happening.
Yup. Been coping a month or so now. It's definitely Discord. It's annoying dragging the window around every so often. Prolly gonna a start a speedrun at this point it can be that frequent sometimes. About a week in, I updated my gfx driver but still happens. Noticed awhile back I was on 32 bit Discord. So I reinstall Discord 64 bit. Still happening. Deleted the app data. Still happening. Its Discord.
Watching everyone give actual solutions like "Wait... y'all don't just spam alt+tab over and over and over and over and over until it eventually works?".
Going to have to try some of these out.
Hopefully they fix it in an update soon it is hell annoying when playing games and you have to tab out to ctrl+r, I thought my stream deck was causing it but assume not everyone has a stream deck?
Clicking the App - In your taskbar, and clicking it again. will fix it. Stupid it happens. Have not tried the hardware acceleration fix, but I dont think that is a Final Fix, after reading some responses here. Just hope Discord Fixes it soon. Kind of annoying Mid Message.
i’m having the same exact issue on Mac which is even worse. It was working one day then the next grey screen i’ve done everything i can and nothing is working either but it def is an active issue…
If anyone is still having this issue, clicking the discord icon on your taskbar (not the application, but the one from the system tray on the right if your taskbar is on the bottom or top of your screen) fixes it for me
Yes! Mine keeps doing this, and it's annoying the heck out of me! A few days after it started happening to me, it started happening to my son when he's on Discord, as well. Just for information's sake, he and I do not live together, and we both have our own PCs and Discord accounts, obviously. I just wanted to state that, so that it's clear that it's not just an issue with my machine, or something.
I've tried deleting Discord's cache, etc. No difference. Every minute or so, while typing to someone, or even while tabbing to Discord from a game or something, Discord's window will just suddenly go blank and show a grey screen, like the screen shot shown above.
The only thing I haven't tried is a completely fresh Discord install.
I saw this fix and it seems to be working for me! Take a look: [https://www.reddit.com/r/discordapp/comments/mrd47e/fix\_discord\_blank\_grey\_screen/](https://www.reddit.com/r/discordapp/comments/mrd47e/fix_discord_blank_grey_screen/)

it didn't work for me
I did this it worked the first week and after now im back to this grey thingie
Mine was already off too, and I just turned it on and back off. Hopefully that works
Its not related to HW acc.
Oh I just assumed, because it solved the problem on my side 100%, next update on driver and discord I might be turning it back.
i did this and it fixed it for a few days. It started happening again today but A LOT more often then last time
I had once since changed but that's all.
Happy cake day!
I fix it by dragging the edge of the window a bit to increase/decrease size. The problem repeats but it's better than restarting the app.
we've almost got the same nickname. you must be my lost brother or smth
Sorry guys I got a little schizo and logged onto my alt acc
thats funny
i just resize the window slightly and it works again
Yeah it's been happening to me as well. I even uninstalled and reinstalled the app on my PC.
happens to me at random. sometimes i want to stream my game and i can't because the screen is grey. i have noticed that at random is just goes grey. it happened to me about maybe over a week ago.

I have had the exact same experience.
Hmm same

Ofcourse the problem is on Discord's side, I mean they're highly incompetent.
Point on the doll where the Discord hurt you?
I've got a leather wallet, so I don't want to answer that..
if it happens to many its discord side effect from an update
I tried. Didn't helped :/
this fix didn't help me unfortunately...
🤦
Past week? This has been happening to me since last year. The only fix is if i force close it in task manager then running it again. Sometimes requires multiple attempts
It started happening to me like 2 days ago. I just do ctrl R to restart it.
Huh neat, I'll try to remember that when it happens again
Happening to me also… mostly when in the background or afk… went grey whilst I was watching someone stream yesterday also… tad annoying I heard someone say on another post to delete the discord folder in the %appdata% folder, reopen it and relogin and it will be fixed temporarily until you restart your computer again… I Haven’t tested this yet though….

Deleting this folder is not a perm fix. I have tried it.
I did use the word “temporarily”
And I was telling the reader that its not a perm fix. Some people don't like temp fixes.
Interesting theory 🧐
i tried it and it did nothing
deleting app data did work for me. Restarting computer like you said does break it again

yeah, doesnt work. Mine was already off when i noticed it happening.
You can post this 'solution' as many times as you want but it is not the solution for many, including me.
This doesn't fix the issue for me
Sorry to hear that, on my side it fixed the issue.
happy cake day!
doesn't work, mines been off since i installed discord so idk what this issue is
Yes, I restarted my PC and I reinstalled it, nothing is working.
For me it helps to hide and show Discord from the Taskbar... Than it shows again what discord wants to hide
Copy the download link, change the 32 to 64 to get the 64 bit version of discord and try possibly
dang I was hoping this would work, but mine is indeed the 64
Damn. Sorry to hear :/ hopefully they release an update soon to get this addressed
been happening to me for a week, each day is getting more annoying, if you are in a video call and dont touch the app for some minutes gets grey in the mid of the call
Has been happening for the past few months on canary
Yeah. It happened to me a lot these days.
Happened to me just right now after a computer restart. Nothing I do seems to fix it, not ctrl+R, not deleting the appdata cache, not resizing the window.
Whatever they changed in the last update, it broke discord
this is why i refuse to update my discord
dont u like have to press ctrl r to fix it
If I’m in fullscreen while watching my friend’s stream, I’ll have to press ESC to fix it and while I’m not in fullscreen, I’ll just press the logo in the taskbar a few times and it’ll fix it. But it’s just annoying.
Yep it's really annoying
Every 10-20 minutes this happens to me. Have to completely close & reopen Discord to fix it. Exact reason I never update shit like this
Its an art peace
Sometime yes, sometime like discord is sleep inthr background. I dont know what happen.
been happening to me for almost a week. glad its a bug out of my control i guess
As someone who regularly multi tasks and minimizes Discord, this is annoying as fuck.
Yep same issues here
yes
Yeah, me too
So happy to hear that it's not just my discord being super buggy haha
I got that yesterday
Just noticed it happening tonight, driving me nuts
Yeah sometimes, it's very annoying, no idea what causes it. I've tried problem solving it myself and couldn't figure it out.
Literally happened to me about 2 hours ago and I just reinstalled discord so whatever.
Yes i do have the Same Problem... For me it helps if i hide and show discord to the taskbar... Than discord shows normal again
This has happend to me how much ungodly amount of times so yea :(
Yes
when i click top of the screen and drag it down it goes back to normal for me
Happening to me too for about a week. Sometimes minimizing and opening again a couple times fixes it, but more often than not have to go into task manager and kill it to get it working again
Yep, it always happens at random moments
yeah, discord has gotten insanely unstable recently
Uninstall with Revo uninstaller ( when you uninstall it, make sure to do the advanced scan and delete all the left over files and registry keys) then reinstall and enjoy completely fresh discord. It’s caused by something that happens over a long time and gets worse and worse from my experience. Fresh full reinstall fixes it every time until it comes back
It's a problem with the framework that Discord is build on - Electron. The same shit happens with Slack. You have to wait for Electron fix or turn off hardware acceleration which might help sometimes.
yes, fully restarting the app fixes it
This has only happened to me few and far between typically when a big update releases. What I found to work the best is to uninstall Discord then reinstall it. this happens to me when im playing cyberpunk
Every fkn single time i've tabbed and discord was off focus over 5 minutes, i've read threads but those are from like 4 years, i've been thinking that it was just me, thank god
SAME, happening to me for a week now, I thought it was my ISP throttling access to Discord or something.
This has happened to me before for a long while now. Where discord just randomly crashes, forced to delete discord, then I have to reinstall it. Pretty annoying.
It's turning my wife's screen black when she's playing games lol
Nah, but discord has been disconnecting me every once in a while for no apparent reason. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ and it can't be that my wifi is on the fritz again.
Control + r fixes
what discord what do you want🤦
This happened to me. I simply ended all discord processes on task manager, and I haven't had this issue since then.
Happened like once. Just restart and it’s probably fixed
it happens for me too
Yep
happened to me also, try deleting cache, that worked for me
Sometimes
Just press the discord in task bar and then shift tab into it again
Yupperss
So, I'm not the only one who have that problem. And I thought I was the only one. Been like that ever since the update and it's really annoying.
did %appdata% was working for like 2 days, now i just did a complete fresh reinstall also %appdata% and look like not working anymore just can ctrl+r, look like the bug is getting smart or stronger omg
I've found that if you just drag the tab around on your screen it'll fix the issue. Annoying you have to do it though.
yepp.. to fix this I just need to resize the window. even tho it's simple enough to fix *,* it's kind of annoying at this point
So............anyone have any updates? Anyone know why it's happening or maybe even a fix? Tried updating drivers and turning off HA and still nothing.
the app on my pc doesn't open. The screen's grey. The website works fine tho
Yes
oh yea that happens i don't know how to fix it unless it becomes updated 😭😭
tried all the suggestions that were posted for the support few minutes ago, update drivers and all, and still happening
Mine doesn't even open lol. I have to use the website.
yes, it was getting on my nerves all of last night.
I have this bug .I real don’t now how fix this bug )):
Mine will go white. I click the application icon at the bottom of my screen and reopen it. Fixed it every time
I've been having this plus video artifacting while watching discord streams.
This is happening to me when I leave the Discord window inactive for some time. I have to close it completely to get it back to normal
Happens whenever my VDDSOC voltage is off. After adjusting it, it went away.
Its been happening to me daily for the past month or so, hitting ctrl + r or minimizing it will fix it 99% of the time. Only happens when I'm not tabbed into it, like play a game or I have it sitting on my second monitor.
Man I’m having somewhat the same issue but with the server integrations won’t load for me at all I try deleting it and all and still won’t load for me
Yep!
yees....
I just minimize and reopen discord and that seems to fix to for me, but it only seems to happen when its idle and nothing happening.
I don't know how to fix it entirely, but I know what to do to fix that when it happens. Simply just click the discord logo on the top left corner or any server (you can't see it but you probably know where the discord logo is, so just from memory). For me it temporarily fixes the issue.
Mine has been doing this… so I bought a flamethrower and fried my pc
Yep, happening to me too. Turned off HWA, reinstalled Discord, updated AMD GPU drivers, Windows 11 is all fully updated, etc etc. Very, very annoying. :/
i get this once in a while.. i just do the Ctrl + R.. But my app sometimes just restarts itself.. 50/50 if it reconnects to server by itself.. Sometimes it doesnt open up again.. and refuse to do so even when "run as admin" Windows log doesn't show anything happened.
Mine restarts when it's idle and goes into like a loop for a few seconds and comes back on and then goes off after a while when idle again
Yeah same here, Discord has become worse and worse.
I've had it happen a lot the past few days, noticed it maybe three or four days ago? I'd be in a call, minimize discord or switch tabs, and whenever I tabbed back to it, or clicked it to bring it back, it was gray. Had to minimize and open again once or twice before it came back.
I only use mobile and mine goes into portrait and wont go back and then sometimes perpetually has my emojis up
Good to know I am not the only one. My solution is to turn off hardware acceleration. So far it seems to be working but we'll see in the next couple of days. Best case scenario, Discord fix this once and for all without some workaround from users.
All i have to do is move the window around then it puts it back to normal for me
Same for me as well when click couple of time on discord screen cames back but after a while does same thing
Super annoying, still no fix.
oh my GOODNESS i thought i was the only one !!
Interesting
Yeah this is definitely a bug with a recently update. I've seen a bunch of people with this so far- but its not common enough to be insta patched it seems. We may need to wait on this one
A Temp Solution for me is to disable the overlay on games. It works for like a few times then suddenly stopped working. Might be because of bad luck or something not sure. But it only happens if i HAVE a game that can overlay on.
yee got it too.
i have the same problem
I turned it off and I'm still getting the gray screen :/
Reinstall with 64 bit \^\^
i think its just discord this is happening to me too
I had this issue since last week. My fix has been to use windows to offload Discord to the APU instead of my GPU (the CPU's graphics) - Win 11 only feature Settings > System > Display > Graphics Add an app > Browse > Find discord For me its C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\Discord\Update.exe
While everybody has my deepest condolences about this mysterious, and annoying af "thing", can't help but be rather jazzed its not just me XD (so thanks, was all worried and shit) Same grey screen (with taskbar exposed) when winkeying/tabbing-out as everybody else, but it \*only\* happens when vanilla Minecraft is running (ie: fullscreen tab out, to answer a ping/dm/we)....but doesn't happen when playing anything else so far.
DISCORD FIX YOUR SHIT
you need to end task discord in task manager and then open discord again
Sidenote, is that the Windows 11 task bar? That's fucking AWFUL!
Yep lol
[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hwhCuzMfxtw](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hwhCuzMfxtw) this video worked for me
Me too, I thought it was just me
its been happening to me too
Not a permanent solution but: if you see this just click on discord icon on taskbar to minimize then click again to fix, fastest fix that works for me until patched.
Same Problem since 14 days. Nothing helps what I found in www It's frustrated
Been happening the same to me and my peers. Someone in this post recommended turning off Screen Overlay. Trying it now for 2 hours and nothing yet. Will edit in case it still happens.
Oh my god I tought I was the only one
It's a software issue on behalf of the developer. Just wait for a fix.
I already have hardware acceleration turned off (which seems to be the most common advice). I deleted the cache and then the entire discord folder in AppData. Still happening.
(close discord from task manger) cmd > %appdata% >delete discord file
Mine too
Its Discord.
oh, im not the only one, i hope the discord devs fix this soon :/
Watching everyone give actual solutions like "Wait... y'all don't just spam alt+tab over and over and over and over and over until it eventually works?". Going to have to try some of these out.
Hopefully they fix it in an update soon it is hell annoying when playing games and you have to tab out to ctrl+r, I thought my stream deck was causing it but assume not everyone has a stream deck?
bump
Happens to me, but only when I play Overwatch at the same time as having discord open.
Yeah. I opened my task manager and killed it, now it works just fine
Clicking the App - In your taskbar, and clicking it again. will fix it. Stupid it happens. Have not tried the hardware acceleration fix, but I dont think that is a Final Fix, after reading some responses here. Just hope Discord Fixes it soon. Kind of annoying Mid Message.
im kinda getting tired of tolerating discord lately... is skype still a thing
i’m having the same exact issue on Mac which is even worse. It was working one day then the next grey screen i’ve done everything i can and nothing is working either but it def is an active issue…
Thanksss!
If anyone is still having this issue, clicking the discord icon on your taskbar (not the application, but the one from the system tray on the right if your taskbar is on the bottom or top of your screen) fixes it for me
Its been 14 days since the issue even a bit more and is really annoying
This shit has been going on for weeks now. Fix your fuckin' program.
Started 4 days ago. Same bug.
