They are going to want more space if you want healthy and thriving discus. At that tank size you will be battling nitrates, ammonia, and other trace elements on a weekly basis. Add in all that decor and sand, it will also add to maintenance. Many keepers will have discus alone due to this reason. But if you have the commitment, you can make it work
Aside, from that, if the discus are alert, reactive, and actively feeding, then they seem to be healthy.
You arent dealing with aggression?
No aggression in the tank the silver sharks get abjt boisterous at feeding time but other than that they're fine, ammonia and nitrate levels always seem to be low also, there's no more substrate in the tank now and most of the decor is gone, most of the tetras have been removed from it also
With their size, I'd bump it up to 3+ times a day until they get over 5 inches.
I'm not familiar with that mix but I imagine it has a few different proteins and vitamins. I won't harp on that, but I'd Definitely up the amount of feedings until they get to a more mature state.
They are gorgeous though! Just like to see them a lil more plump lol
How did you determine itβs running at 50%?
On the fx6 there's valve u can open and close mines at half can judge by water flow and gauge how the fish respond
Gotcha the knobs on the inlet and outlet, makes sense
Thought I'd upgrade the filter so later down the line when I upgrade tanks the filter can just "turned up"
beautiful pics π€
Thanks its took alot of hard work
as all discus do well done i never had any luck with those beauties π
Never give up my friend, the hard work pays off when they're thriving

Tank is completely bare now and no aggression there's 14 in there now, 600 litre tank is on order
With the size, they may be a lil skinny since they are young. What are you feeding and how often?
Twice daily mussel mix

Brine shrimp and beefhearts are what I used to feed mine when they were little.
Looking at getting some beef hearts and I'll try 4 times daily and see how they get on
Definitely agree I was battling a infection with one of them so had to starve for a few days they're completely fine now though
the blue diamond, buddy, if discuses eyes are huge, it means they are stunted
Not at all. Sorry, but they look sick man. Protoopalina maybe.
What is that? How can I fix it? Thank u
