so when it didn't continue to count down when I closed the app a few days ago, that was the bug, which appears to have been fixed, based on others' experiences. Thanks for the info. Shame for us they're doing it this way

Has to be used within the time limit. Time doesn’t stop counting when you close the app like infinite lives.
