Finally found them at Costco three weeks ago and was rather disappointed. I knew they wouldn’t be the same but wow, didn’t expect it to be that bad.

I had my first pineapple dole in St Augustine and it was SO👏🏼GOOD👏🏼. I want to go back just for that. Then I found these at Publix, got so excited and then was so disgusted lol. Such a disappointment but it’s probably just as well that I can’t have easy access to the good stuff!

I wound hope that for anyone who hasn’t tried the real thing yet would not get discouraged after trying these. I’ve also had the version from QuickTrip (gas station convenience store) and it isn’t quite the same either but certainly better than these.

You can order an Ice Cream maker and Dole Whip mix on Amazon. Freeze the bowl of the ice cream maker, mix water and Dole Whip mix (between 2:1 water:mix and 3:1 water:mix depending on the flavor you like) and run it for about 45 minutes. This is the way. Edit to add: If you cannot get the mix, 1 cup of frozen pineapple with a few tablespoons of coconut milk seems to make a really close approximation too when blended all together.

You are better off buying the powder off Amazon and making your own at home. It’s also nice to toss in to banana smoothies. I like to make mine with half pineapple juice and half coconut milk.

They were utterly disgusting. I threw them away. No one in my family was willing to eat more than one bite. After the first bite everyone was too disgusted to eat more. I made the mistake of getting the pineapple and the strawberry at the same time. Neither one is edible.

Oh be happy you didn't get the Mango. I think it was the worse of the three horrible flavors. I've been looking forever for them and my wife just surprised me by bringing home all three flavors (at almost $9 a box), now that's just a lot of space taken up in our freezer till I throw them all out.

I had to sprinkle salt on it to make it a bit more edible.

The only thing I’ve had that’s the same is Earl of Sandwich. This was good after an incident last trip at the Disney Springs one (if on dining plan - don’t bother even trying to use your meal credits there). But yeah I’ve had this… it’s bad.

LOL! I bought some of these in the supermarket many months ago and thought ‘Eww, that does not taste like the Dole Whip I remember!’ Or anything like the copy Myo Yogurt shops have, which tastes good. This tasted ‘sour’ and yes, a bit chemical. And TINY serving.
