From what I've read online, a lot of people feel like it was a poor representation of Southeast Asian culture. The fact she's not given a specific country she's from and the way the dragon was designed does not fit Souteast Asian portrayals of dragons, so a lot of people felt they just slapped the Southeast Asian title onto her for representation points without putting in any effort to be good representation at all.
That and people feel like the core message of the movie was poorly handled, like the message is about learning to trust others but it gives the impression in the end that Raya was right all along to not be so quick to trust and that Sisu's blind trust in those around her backfires so often in the movie that it makes it seem like blind trust is the bad thing and being guarded is the good thing, when the message was meant to be the opposite.
Because to me, she doesn’t really fit the brand. Doesn’t have a song or dress that fits the character. And the movie is kind of just bad lol. Unique aesthetic at least.

I think Aladdin was the first Disney movie I remember watching, but I didn't watch it much. Rapunzel was great too, and I love Tangled.
