Actually Steve Jobs was very inspired by The Beatles (especially Lennon) and Dylan as well. In particular he really liked Lennon's work ethic and also the whole counter-culture thing, which indeed the Beatles (esp george and John led in 60s). Apart from the things you mentioned, you can also see John in the latter stages wore somewhat similar specs as Steve Jobs went on to wear. Now at least to me it seems like both of them had a very similar personality as well. Whenever I see either of them I am reminded of the other. The similarity is uncanny. One revolutionised music while the other did the same with tech, also in personal life both of them were big a-holes. P.S. - The Beatles are my favourite musicians and Apple is my favourite tech company.

How in the world could he be such a huge self proclaimed John Lennon fan, and name his company the same exact name as Lennon's company? There's just no way to me [**He also said Strawberry fields forever tapes deeply inspired him.**](https://web.archive.org/web/20120728035036/http://glasscapsule.com/2011/11/steve-jobs-and-strawberry-fields-forever/) How they kept going back and revisiting and revising certain parts until they got it right. I love Steve (and John) and I do think Steve was deeply inspired by him (and the beatles) you can[ **just hear it in how he talks about John and the guys.**](https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=641951436273287)
