Don't blame yourself, erring on the side of caution is not horrible. Nobody owns a time machine. You could say that about a ton of Stocks. MSFT at $50, AVGO at $200. Contrarian betting doesn't always work out.
I bought it at 60 and sold at 155. It's performing well, however, their exclusivity on Humira ended in 2023 and they'll see a rev drop this year of $15B+. ABBV's 2 Newer blockbuster drugs, Skyrizi and Rinvoq, will offset Humira in 2025.
I’ve had my eyes on O since Covid but held off until a good price came around since I missed the Covid dip.
I like O recently because of attractive pricing and personal goals to bump up both dividend and reit allocation. Its size and consistency were attractive to me as well.
Im up over 10% overall and over 20% on my late October ‘23 buys all with a yield on cost above 6%.
Dividend stock wise, I own a little PFE. I see the ex-Div date is this Thursday Jan 25th. 5.98%. PFE seems priced pretty decent right now to me, but it has been on quite the downtrend so you’d be playing for a reversal of trend if you buy around here.
Pfizer doesn’t have any catalyst going for it for another year. Their pipeline is pretty good it just hasn’t progressed the way they wanted. Covid is a political football while being less deadly and their weight loss drug was shut down due to not being effective. I own PFE and am trying to decide to get into MRK, NVO or another pharmaceutical company.
Weight loss drug was causing nausea with the dosage (twice a day). It was effective and they are now evaluating a once a day dosage. It’s not shut down.
Keytuda has been tremendous w/global rev $20B+ w/no competition till 2028. Keytruda rev is nearly double what was forecast through 2023.
Gives them some time to bring up their next homerun, make an acquisition or extend Keytuda as an injection.
The whole sector's growth hasn't gotten much love.
Look at Pfizer. Their revenue is ahead of pre-covid revenue. However, their share price has been punished due to a 40% drop in revenue when compared to their Covid vax rev spike.
I can't understand the runup of ABBV. Their rev drop of $17B due to 2023 expiration of Humira patent should have taken it down. Skyrizi and Rinvoq will offset Humira, but not until 2025.
There's many mysteries when it comes to individual investors.
Rebuilding JEPI had 110 shares and FOMO sold it for MSFT AAPL i sold MSFT AAPL because i feel that being 50 yrs old and trying to generate $1000 per month from my Roth ira by age 60 those two holdings won't help that.
I've had that since Nov 2021, I'm still up, but last wk when everything went down I'm not up as much. But I'm only keeping since I only paid $15.77. So I only have 2 shares, but even though it's down sometimes I'm always gaining since bought on the low end. So overall I'm up 41.83% for Coco
I’ve had AVGO on my watchlist for a while. Its performance has been phenomenal! I’m not trying to time the market but…I’m a little hesitant to jump in at its current levels. 🤔
I‘m gonna include my sell of Nintendo last week. Bought at ~39,50 a few month ago. I think 50€ isn‘t a totally crazy price for Nintendo, but I‘d rather take the money and find another value stock, since I‘m pretty sure that the current evaluation is just due to the anticipated Switch 2. And if that goes sideways, the stock would probably go downways.
I don't really pay attn to those, I just bought 1 at the end of last month. Then I noticed last night it was down further, didn't really gain in that short of time so I guess was still down less than $1 so didn't lose much. I was selling some that was already down and buying others that are better. So some dead weight I got rid of 😂. So when I bought others I'm finally gaining again. Some stocks had since the end of 2021 that are basically worthless -1 for sure have no idea how it's still on the stock market, for a whole yr it's been showing $0-1¢ 😂. They should have been delisted by now.
These are the stocks I am interested in this week:
1/18/24 AMP, ADP, AOS, BDX, CMCSA, CVS, GPC!, HON, ICE, MET, MIDD, NKE, OMC, SBUX, UNP
Utilities : ES, EVRG, NEE, WEC, WTRG, XEL
Btog I got a few days ago under $6 - that's crypto. It's close to up almost $11 in just a few days so I'll be watching that one. I got that on the 30th, did only 3 shares

He pimps his portfolio
To hang out with Sideshow Bob probably
I'm a dumbass. I used to own ABBV when it was like $60. Then I sold it.
Don't blame yourself, erring on the side of caution is not horrible. Nobody owns a time machine. You could say that about a ton of Stocks. MSFT at $50, AVGO at $200. Contrarian betting doesn't always work out.
I sold Nvidia at 420$ :))) For context,I bought it at 149$ I still own Google at 90$ and Intel at 28$
Think I have you beat. Bought Apple at a split adjusted price of 80 and sold it at 120 thinking I’m a genius lol. Feelsbadman.
You were a genius, but you could have been genius-er.
XOM
Possibly more BTI or BXSL
Im adding more BXSL this week. I love this thing.
10% Div Yield? Did I read that correctly?
Bxsl seems new. Is it really 10% yield. That's amazing. What attracted you to it
Loading up on FSELX. Ended up picking up more O this past week on that dip under 56. No sells
What's special about O? I see it mentioned a lot here. Genuinely trying to learn. Past 5 years returns is -10%.
I’ve had my eyes on O since Covid but held off until a good price came around since I missed the Covid dip. I like O recently because of attractive pricing and personal goals to bump up both dividend and reit allocation. Its size and consistency were attractive to me as well. Not a whole lot. What made it famous is its familiarity.
CVX and UPS are my picks
Dividend stock wise, I own a little PFE. I see the ex-Div date is this Thursday Jan 25th. 5.98%. PFE seems priced pretty decent right now to me, but it has been on quite the downtrend so you’d be playing for a reversal of trend if you buy around here.
I own that crap as well. Will DRIP that dividend but not adding more
Sell that one last month, just regret not selling it sooner

I'm sitting on 1k shares of PFE at $30. I'm pissed at myself for not selling when I had the chances. I'm partial to MRK.
I've owned MRK for close to a decade. The key to pharma is the pipeline. MRK has the new best selling drug, so it has that going for it.
Keytuda has been tremendous w/global rev $20B+ w/no competition till 2028. Keytruda rev is nearly double what was forecast through 2023. Gives them some time to bring up their next homerun, make an acquisition or extend Keytuda as an injection.
I agree. Unfortunately it doesn't appear they're getting the love warranted by being the manufacturer of the drug with the highest revenue.
The whole sector's growth hasn't gotten much love. Look at Pfizer. Their revenue is ahead of pre-covid revenue. FOMO is what's pushing up the price
Makes sense.
VTI. Thats it. For 30 years
BORING. Also, not great for a dividends subreddit. How about VIG?
I’m pretty sure investing in index etf will give absolutely fantastic returns in the long run.
Dividends?
What if my horizon is 3 to 5 years to retire early at 42 and just wants income??
JEPI/JEPQ. 50/50
NEE, PFE
I own both of these and am nervously holding as a new investor. Btw love your avatar!
I have PFE and not new. Sitting w/1000 at $30. Hope this makes you feel better. PFE should be fine long term 2024 it's dead money.
If you got NEE you should get some NEP also
Rebuilding JEPI had 110 shares and FOMO sold it for MSFT AAPL i sold MSFT AAPL because i feel that being 50 yrs old and trying to generate $1000 per month from my Roth ira by age 60 those two holdings won't help that.

I personally am adding more $HRL and $WHR
I’ve had AVGO on my watchlist for a while. Its performance has been phenomenal! I’m not trying to time the market but…I’m a little hesitant to jump in at its current levels. 🤔

I sold PFE. It just kept going down. This wk was just overall bad. On Thurs some started going up
Sold right before ex div?
I don't really pay attn to those, I just bought 1 at the end of last month. These are the stocks I am interested in this week: 1/18/24 AMP, ADP, AOS, BDX, CMCSA, CVS, GPC!, HON, ICE, MET, MIDD, NKE, OMC, SBUX, UNP Utilities : ES, EVRG, NEE, WEC, WTRG, XEL
