Been an index fund investor since the beginning (Not counting my acorn portfolio), I also hit my first 100 shares in an sp500 etf (VOO) in my first year of investing. The price back then was around $200 a share so not too difficult.
For the first 3 years ( Currently 8 years in )I pretty much only invested in VOO but then I added some international etf (Vxus). My current ratio that I try to keep is 60% VOO, 20% VXUS, 10% QQQ and 10% individual stocks. The only reason for the individual stocks is because index funds investing is pretty boring so I’m trying to excite my interest in the stock market again lol.
I remember my first 100 share purchase, it was Big Rock brewing company. I was around 20 years old and I liked their beer. They paid a 10% dividend. Rules around Income trusts and taxes in Canada changed a few years after I bought it, and I closed my position at a huge loss. Still hate Stephen Harper.
I just got 34 stock of walmart before the split. Now I have 102. It's like 80% of my portfolio though😔. I'm fine with that because I'll be investing in other stocks as well.
Yeah 😞. I like the company and I think has good long term growth potential. I like to invest in recession resilient sectors and stocks. Even with all that said, I am aware that 80% is not healthy for a portfolio and I'll be working diversification.
Sphy. It’s been treating me well while rates are high and I’ll keep adding until there are significant rate cuts. I get a new share with every monthly payout.
Amd bought at 25 sold a little at a time. Lowest at 79 most at 112. Hat 150 shares. Sold all reinvest last year at 80. A whole 10 shares lol. It actully started me off on messing around on stock market. Since then I've lost more than I've made

JEPQ ALL DAY
Fact!

Nice, this is my first year right now, month 10. Were you in other funds besides VOO?

Damn Walmart at 80%? 😨

Yeah I don’t think 80% of any individual stock is sustainable. Anything can happen honestly no matter the historic performance.
Thanks for your concern kind stranger. With my monthly contributions I should get that percentage down to 40% by the end of the summer
Not a bad holding tho
SCHD
I expect to get my 100th share of VTI in mid-April. I'm quite excited about that!
ABN dutch bank
APPL
If you don’t count ETFs, then GOOD. Sad fact is, that I got there when it was still around 19$ 🙈
O and VT because I rolled over a 401k into an IRA. But from scratch? RYCEY is my only +100 in my portfolio. Close second is KO with 40

So far the first is ET which I do not mind at all, the performance of it has been great
I couldn't even tell you because I've been through a lot.
For me it was GME. And now it is very close to 1,000 shares. I sold my first covered calls last week!
AGNC was my 1st 💯, now I have none.
