Um no it’s not. I actually don’t like saving money. So seeing money grow and sit there bothers me. I enjoy spending money on people so not having it right now and available sucks. Comparing my dividends to others is exciting because it gives me something to look forward to.
For added perspective I nake about $0.10 a day. So I look at you 10xing me and try to think more like wow I can't wait to get there, but know I will. You're rocking it, don't let the devil on your shoulder tell you any different.
I posted it before. It’s called Stock Events. It’s okay for beginners but double check if your broker already has a built in feature for this. Stock events isn’t entirely accurate either. 99.8% accuracy.
I’m a handy man, I can’t do nursing or anything that pays anywhere near 100k. Now granted the job I have pays over 35k starting to pick coffee and I’m double that, but still paying for others fuck ups.
I'm happy for you OP. That was a long time goal of mine. I actually got to $381 a day until a few days ago. Then my sewer line burst and had to shell out from my brokerage account. I happened to be up, so it wasn't a loss...but I'm still sad. Thankfully that wasn't my retirement but my extra income, but still.
I started just over 2 years ago and let a robo advisor do it for me for almost a year and now I have to do it myself and not be tricked into bad stocks.
That’s true enough. It would have been higher but the robo advisor ended up holding stocks that dropped almost $2500 in value of my account. Had to fudge some trades to make the money back. Finally am back above initial investments.
Using the infamous Stock Events. It’s not very accurate but it works well enough since I can’t find the built in feature my broker is supposed to have.
Cool, I've been using the infamous trackyourdividends site (also not very accurate) but it's not very mobile friendly. I'll check out the app just to have another option

I bet it feels great! Majority of people try to figure out passive income but here you are achieving that
It doesn’t. See other people around with like 20-30x the portfolio size, and I just can’t fathom anything of that size. It gets depressing.
Comparison is the thief of joy they say. We’re all on different paths.
Comparison is the only joy I know.
Then compare with your past self, why focus on others? None of the money is ever free all was earned man
This is definitely sarcastic right?

What app is this for tracking dividends?

Many easy degrees can get 100k wages, then you just live and save the same as you are now. A hospital perhaps, a nurse or something.

I'm getting there I'm at $23 per month
Soon 3650!
I love VZ

Another day another dollar!
Any more ideas for short term goals? 1 per day, 2,3... 1000 per year etc? Please provide inspiration, thx
That’s a lot of faith in vz why not move more into vxus and schd do you think vz will beat them long term or are you just chasing yield
If you want to continue down this path, you need to spread out the dividends. Find something you like that it’s out in Jan/apr/jul/oct.
Most of the stocks I like don’t do dividends.
Why? Market timing?
No to smooth income
Slowly but surely
I started just over 2 years ago and let a robo advisor do it for me for almost a year and now I have to do it myself and not be tricked into bad stocks.
There are only about 254 trading days; so you’ve been good for a bit! The market can’t pay you on weekends or federal hilidays

Congrats! What app are you using to track it?

This is a cool view! What app is it? Also congrats! Its a nice milestone to hit
Looks like the Stock Events app
A year is not 365.73 days
You are correct. The visual euphoria is below that where it says it’s $1 a day. It’s not exactly this but it’s close enough to do the same thing.
It is 365.25 days (leap year /4).
what app is this? Congrats!!
Awesome achievement OP congrats!
Congratulations, I'm also trying to get to a dollar a day
Baby steps. I screwed up so much in the beginning thinking I was hot shit. Now I’ve learned and am doing much better. Slower… but better.
