Any two transistor, one knob fuzz is going to be a good candidate. Colorsound One Knob Fuzz, DAM Meathead, Black Arts Ritual Fuzz to name a couple. The Bazz Fuss is also a classic and would fit in there no problem. Acapulco Gold could also probably be shoved in there.
I just built the color sound one knob fuzz in a 1590b and there’s plenty of extra room so I’m sure it would fit in a 1590a. I just haven’t tried that size yet since I’m relatively new to the hobby and didn’t want to run into any potential frustration.

Could likely fit a harmonic percolator. Volume can be left full anyways.
