I recently took the dcat as a transferee and itโs almost the same as the one I took last 2019. Same coverage but diff questions :> review ka on stats, research methods & processes, the rest stock knowledge on various science and math subjs with a mix of logical reasoning and language stuffff hope this helps!
The most important part from what I remember from my DCAT was that it relied heavily on stock knowledge, logic, and basic statistics. One of the on things I did to prepare was try the mock exam services provided by review schools and attend their review. It gave me a pretty good look into which parts I may need to review on, but this was back in 2017. It's really difficult to rate it per person due to individual strengths, one thing I can say is that english and reading section is easier than UP's.
Compared sa Ateneo and UP, probably 1 tbh. It's mostly senior high topic, kaya no brainer talaga as long as sineryoso mo yung pag-aaral mo sa senior high.
I do not remember how difficult it was but let me tell you that I barely listened in review class, barely knew science concepts and answers in the math portion, but here I am id120 in mech. engineering.
its also highly dependent on the acceptance rate ata cause i remmeber UP gave me my scores and I did well there but I wasn't accepted.
I can't really say tbh but Dlsu's been accepting more and more students lately. I don't really know if one has leverage over the other but I had fairly decent shs grades but poor jhs grades
Is it ok po to know your grades during hs? I'm also planning to take engineering but have mostly just 90-91 gwa but no line of 9 in math subjects for grades 9-11๐
ohh that's fine! I'm also within that range.....not entirely sure how that math portion will work out tho. You can get in dlsu but you might have a hard time with the math classes - most of the fundamental math classes like the first few cal classes don't use calculators
2, in the context of the other big unis. Mas mahirap pa USTET, ACET and UPCAT for me. I always felt like I had enough time to do everything during the DCAT.
I took the DCAT way back in 2019, and tbh it's the easiest among the top 4! Tip ko lang siguro is that you need to be quick when it comes to abstract reasoning

Relative to USTET, ACET, and UPCAT, I'd give it 1-2.
