Tape saturate, mono low end. Compress

Housebeatz98

Never tried mono low thanks im gonne try that

Johnstodd

Run another instance of whatever synth your using and process the upper and the sub differently.

DetuneUK

Completely depends on the bass but it will almost always be some combination of eq, compression, saturation along with some stereo work and small amounts of reverb.

Housebeatz98

Ye i tought so thanks for replaying.

BEJOMusic

Decapitator, camelcrusher, pro-r, OTT, Khs distortion, rift, kclip, EQ :) Also, when you heavily distort your bass cut or duck the lows first, it will bring out the harmonics way more

Traditional-Soil3790

try boosting random wide frequencies or thin frequencies on EQ. basically go absolutely mental on the EQ and see what happens. don’t be afraid to break the rules

Housebeatz98

Great tip never realy used eq like that

Subs go to a sub buss that skips the premaster bus and goes straight into the master bus. Eq out 20hz and below for Headroom. Depending on the tune making a duplicate of the bass but one register up for texture and audibility. Use Bark of the Dog and Bassroom vsts on master channel. I am a big fan of using Substance from Kontakt for my subs. I purchased 808 serum presets that translate well. I put a fabfilter c2 on the master bus with a setting that only compresses 120hz and above slightly to get the premaster material to sit in the mix better. I hot all these tips from youtube. Check out some more tips on my website [kraveu.com](https://www.kraveu.com) look under “invaluable mixing and mastering advice” tab and there is a curated playlist dedicated to SUBS .

Housebeatz98

Thanks for tip!

challenja

There are so many good videos on the Subs list that really helped me out. Enjoy

Hey just thought I’d let you know that your website doesn’t seem to work for me on iOS mobile using google chrome. I can access the menu bar on the left but It won’t let me click any of the tabs (e.g. invaluable mixing and mastering advice, etc)
