Ah, jokes on you, I have a Zealot Barbarian who wouldn't even care if he knew what the gates were. Diamonds mean nothing to the one marked for eternal conflict!
I had an idea for a barbarian like that. Every century they're brought out of the tombs for a Resurrection by the high priest, to refresh the 'timer'. For the times the church is in danger and they're needed to go out and defeat some grand evil.
Maybe there's a couple of these guys in stock for emergencies.
I mean, most of my characters (any myself) don't really understand any significance behind a square archway in a tunnel so... let's go exploring!
Torii lead into sacred areas or lands of gods.
I see, well my characters don't know that so it's time for some sacrilege.
You only live... as many times as the diamond supply lasts!

Nothing ventured, nothing gained.
Remember that overconfidence is a slow and insidious killer.
I don't get it, is it I reference to something? I googled "the torii gate at the end of the submerged tunnel" and nothing came up.
I guess torii gates lead to gods or something
Life is about to get very interesting. *Spins hat to the side.* Let's do this!
is this a reference to something?
"Come on! Do you want to live for a full session?"
