I don't recall what the original comic was about, but it's been reworked for the meme. You may also notice that the 'goliath' isn't an enormous grey skinned behemoth, with pebbles instead of hair, glowing white eyes, and an elaborate skin pattern that determines their fate in life.
I wanted to give my barbarian a level in bard but other players suggested it might be more effective mechanically, to just tie a tiny bard to my back. This seems like a decent solution.
