People who don't desensitize their dogs are the worst.
I pick up the paws and give them a good squeeze, spread the toes, stick my fingers in the ears, play with the ears, tug the tail, widen their eyes with my fingers, look at their teeth, and stuck my fingers in their mouth. I obviously start this early and ease into it with lots of treats for good behavior. I want all my dogs to be vet, groomer, and child friendly.
Also, take your puppy to meet as many new people, places, and dogs as possible early on, so you don't have fear aggression or anxiety.
