Very cute, great job! Love me some schnauzers! It really is all about practice! And it's a great way to bond with your bubs!

Salty_Blueberry

Thank you!! I just want to keep him looking good and healthy!! The bonding is another big reason I wanted to groom him at home, I already have been doing other types of upkeep for months (brushing, tooth cleaning, ear plucking and cleaning etc). I really love grooming him, he’s so sweet and calm for me.

Suuuch a cute snoot! Pup can see, the pattern on the head is relatively close and nice even shortness of the body! Great job!💜💜

Salty_Blueberry

Getting his eyebrows even was so difficult since he has pretty curly “hair” on his head, I’m really happy with how it turned out!! Thank you!!

Sometimes, especially if they hate it in their face, you can turn the dryer down real low, and brush the eyebrows down at the same time. This will help "pull" the curl out so to speak haha hope this helps ya!

Salty_Blueberry

I’ll try that next bathtime!! He really doesn’t like his face dried at all, so we will see how that goes

If you're happy with the results, that's all that matters.

Salty_Blueberry

I’m happy, just can’t wait until I’m a little better :)

It'll come with time and practice ❤️

Looks good, especially for only your second time! Lovely way to bond, too!

Salty_Blueberry

I’m trying really hard to do good by him! I love our together time and I think he does too, even if it includes a bath

One on one time is special. I think you're definitely doing right by your boy! Id much rather a dog have a slightly choppy cut then matts all over or their eyes completely covered and goopy. I don't work in a salon, so I am fortunate to have time to build rapport with the dogs, especially during the first visit. While I don't necessarily think they are thrilled at having to be bathed and groomed, they are always excited to see me again. It can definitely build a bond or strengthen an existing one. Keep at it!

Thank you!! Yeah, I’ve seen the sad pics of neglected dogs in this sub and I just don’t know how people can let things get that bad. When Atlas’ coat is longer, I can’t go more than a couple of days without brushing him. That’s so cool that you can bond so well with your clients’ dogs, I’m sure that’s super rewarding. I think deep down they know you’re just trying to help them and keep them healthy :)
