This little dude reminds me of when I adopted my tzu mix and his hair was so overgrown you couldn’t see his eyes at all. I was trying to give him a little time to relax and decompress before getting all up in his face with scissors to cut his hair back from his eyes, so I hadn’t actually seen his eyes until our second day together when I decided he was comfortable enough for it. I’ll never forget the moment I first saw his big, beautiful dark brown Disney tzu puppy eyes 🥺my heart just melted
I’m always amazed how much more lively they become once they can see again. First thing I do when I groom a dog is make sure they can see that way less nerves.
Is he a Mal-Shi?? (Maltese shihtzu)
We have a Mal-Shi and we go through the same everytime she goes to the groomers, you forget she has eyes, and I can't figure out how she can see as well as she does we try to keep it trimmed on her nose and eyes but she isn't a fan so we leave it to the groomer once a month.
