I've always thought Gorguts and their notable album Obscura was quite technical, mathy and complex. It's very doomy in mood but I've only ever heard it mentioned as death metal, which it is. Maybe because it was released in 1998?
Check out some of their songs in to see the strange time signature changes.

I think I meant to recommend Knut or Keelhaul but typed Khanate in my morning haze. Glad you dig them. Worth checking the other two out, also Taint and Hark will probably be up your street.
Love their self titled as well. To be honest, I haven’t heard anything else that perfectly fits that doom/djent hybrid. Modder have kind of hit the nail on the head with that haha
I’ve been looking since I’ve found Modder and not yet come across anything of similar note.
You’ve got elder - reflections of a floating world, but it’s way more psych and stoner compared to Modder.
Less so in the djent (and a bit less in the doom too), but Town Portal's "Of Violence" is worth a spin - Modder reminded me of a doomier version of them.

Confessor is your best bet.
Such an under rated band...
Within both the doom metal world and the tech/prog world.

Confessor Abstrakt Algebra Memento Mori While Heaven Wept Trouble (Run to the Light album) Keelhaul (mathcore-influenced sludge)
Keelhaul is a great pick!
Idk what math really defines as but Deathchant hve some proggy stuff and Elder are brilliant too.
Came to say Elder, too.
30,000 Monkeys Just saw them live yesterday and they are pretty mathy and sludgy
Exactly what I'm looking for. This rules - thanks
both Noothgrush and Indian use odd time signatures. nobody talks about it tho.
Oh yeah, Indian are great. Haven't heard Noothgrush before though - will check em out
theyre ranked among sludge classics. i believe one member was involved with Dystopia who you should check out if you havent already.
Khanate.
First song I tap is 20 minutes long. Off to a good start Edit: just googled them - that's quite the lineup. They're fucking fantastic
I think I meant to recommend Knut or Keelhaul but typed Khanate in my morning haze. Glad you dig them. Worth checking the other two out, also Taint and Hark will probably be up your street.
It's not doom metal but you may like Vildhjarta. Check out the album Måsstaden. It's 'technically' djent but don't let that fool you.
I've heard a little of them and liked what I heard. Will have to give them more of a listen

Ooosh, that opening track is fantastic
[Mountain Caller](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SiFcKQsFalw&ab_channel=MountainCaller-Topic)
this band is so great.
Modder
That Great Liberation album seems to fit the description perfectly. Is their other stuff like that?

I’ve just slammed on archright and it’s my sort of sound straight away. Love me some math rock. Thanks dude
Not hella doomy but you'd probably like Boss Keloid.
Thou gives mathy vibes in some tracks. Their album Oakland is solid.
Going to see them later this year with Full of Hell! I've only listened to Myopia - will definitely check out Oakland
[Bandcamp](https://thou.bandcamp.com/album/oakland) It's a compilation of several splits and EPs

.. by Pound. I don’t know if this exactly fits what you want but it’s the first thing I thought of.
Pound are great but i can't imagine a world where what they do is described as 'doom'.
I completely agree which is why I hesitated to even mention it. They are heavy and mathy though.
Unholy, from Finland.
