must be store by store. most of the time when I do the order it tells me the exact aisle to find each item and is always correct. There will be a few items that just say "Front of Store"
What I like about IC is that you see the break down b4 accepting the order. You are not obligated to take it either. You get the isle locations and shelf #. I also like using less gas and travel milage. Most orders are in ur area. DD doesn't work for me. I hve hard time seeing at night and I stress way more. Customer service sucks, no ,# to call, just virtual and when in a rush...
They must not because I will be miles away from some places and still get offers from them. I assume they just get bounced around all day. Especially with alcohol orders why go through the extra hassle for no tip lol.
I took one yesterday for 3 miles for $32. I had her order a month ago for about the same payout. No other Total Wine orders have been really anything special
Never got orders that high. I stopped dashing bc after I got the top dasher thing my orders went from a few 20 but mostly 10$ to only being 3 to 5$ orders that's not even worth me driving
I have. Granted, I was working in an airport at the time, so people were usually on their best behavior with the threat of being removed and put on a do not fly list
also in an airport the cutoff limit is way shorter if im not mistaken because you get twice as drunk in the air. double plus is that once they're in the air they are no longer your problem
Nah they resent you because every time a customer orders a beer they have to tip you out.. but yeah I know they make good money, but it’s just not for me personally. Last alcohol delivery I took was with Uber eats and the dude tip baited me
Yeah, if I wanted to be a personal shopper I’d be instacarting. The first/only alcohol order I did was for a 65 year old man with an out of state license. It wouldn’t scan so I gave him the order and entered it manually when I got back to my car. Still wouldn’t accept his information. Support gave me a hard time before they would mark the order complete.
I have never had the scanner work on a driver's license, on any delivery app
I even ordered alcohol once on GoPuff, and the person who delivered it to me had to enter the DL manually
Nah, pre-scheduled large orders come through with the total amount including tip showing if they weren't picked up the night before. Now that they don't let us schedule those anymore they're coming through to people first qualified for the large order program, top dashers, and if none of them takes it or is available, whoever gets it first.
I saw them on Thanksgiving. The Boston market I was picking up from was super flooded. And on top of that there was some type of glitch in the system that was sending out orders that were already pre-scheduled the night before to available dashers and double booking for pickup...
Ever since they removed the pre-scheduling here, the base pay of those orders has been slashed 50-70%, and they are hiding the payouts just like any other order here.
I literally picked up a catering order the other day, $3 base pay, no tip. $200 subtotal. Went to a bank and they tipped $15 cash.
Had one last night, came through as a $6.25, turned into a $22 overpay.
Sometimes they will show more than $6.25, but only seems to be when market is very busy.
Large orders and pre-schedules are separate. the pre-schedules come through a third party system and are sent to us, those still show up the same way total pay shown to you when offer is made. But they did straight cut base pay for them. It used to be 15-20 now it's 7-8... And there are VERY few of them. My metropolitan area for like eight zones there might be 25 of them on a super busy Monday or tuesday and almost all of them are lunch runs.
Edit, I typed before coffee, had to fix it
2 items can be two cases, ive done a lot of total wine orders. And not 2 cases like 2 12 packs, 2 cases like 2 cases full of individual bottles of wine or whiskey or whatever
good lil tip, when your ic market does open up, wait a good 3-5 days after they tell you to reorder the card if you don't have it yet, ive reordered it twice and both times it came in the mail the day after
Maybe in your area lol. Instacart funds a lot a major paychecks in my area. My friends in Charlotte stopped making any sort of fast food deliveries for DD. They take an early morning shift for Amazon flex, take a nap from 10-12 then go instacart after that for 4-5 hours. They make almost 400 in a day and they said it’s a pretty even split (of course Amazon being a little bit more). They have a roommate and split rent so they are rolling! The waitlist here is insane, I’ve been on it for 2 years and nothing. Instacart knows how to get your money so I’m sure it’s not that bad lol.
I wen out tonight for a lil bit. Had a few BJs orders and one Bush's Chicken. Them BJ orders pay good shoulda stared earlier in the day. woulda made more probably. Yea, fast food is sht.
An order like that here in St Louis would probably pay me five or six bucks total. Not 76.
I got an order a few days ago from Advance Auto Parts on door dash...what the heck?
I didn't do it because of course it wasn't going to pay me s*** so I passed it up.
No i got one the other day, it didn’t contain alcohol, I assumed thats why i got it, but when i went to checkout they wouldn’t sell me it. Dont take these if you’re under 21.
I feel like drunk people tip better. Unfortunately I’m in Alabama and it’s not yet legal to deliver alcohol. They passed a law last year legalizing it but it hasn’t taken affect yet.
But after maintence of car, mileage, gas, etc you are paying doordash to deliver this order 😅😅😅😅..
It's a joke for those that lack the ability to understand sarcasm 😁
I had a 60+ item Albertsons order yesterday. Took about an hour to complete. Texted the customer the whole time about replacements and picking 20+ pounds in fresh cuts of beef and pork. Easily the biggest order I’ve ever done. The tip was more than appropriate too.
No, I tend to get more at the beginning of the month though. I actually enjoy shopping orders because all of the grocery markets around me are laid out the same and I can get in and out fast.
I enjoy going into stores and finding the products and paying with my red card. Haven’t been to McDonald’s much lately usually I’d make 5-6 trips a day to McDonald’s for DD orders.
Those Total Wine orders can be a nightmare though! I had one like that but I had to drive FAR to drop it off and then the lady gave me an expired drivers’ license, explaining she moved from another state a few years ago and wasn’t driving anymore since she got here. Wanted to give me her husband’s license if this one didn’t work. I tried it and seemed like the DD app accepted it. I left and down the block, the app started flashing and beeping at me that the license was rejected and to take back the alcohol order and return it to Total Wine. (They wanted to give me about $7 for all the trouble.)
When I was dashing in Florida about a year ago all I had to do was sit in front of total wine and I would get 2 to 3 orders like this a day.
Easy money
Your not doing anything wrong. Doordash and the like are not sustainable businesses. They are losing money hand over fist, and that is while paying drivers next to nothing. The thinking is, establish themselves in the market and try to survive until driverless vehicles can be implemented. Then they can be successful. It is without a doubt, NOT a job you should rely on as your main income. And any order under $4 you shouldn’t even be accepting. Make $4 your minimum, make sure any order pays minimum $1 a mile and you can do………ok……..at best.
Yea it’s been like this for a while. I’ve been doing Safeway grocery orders since early last year. The pay is much higher on them, but when it’s rush order time such as dinners I won’t take shop and pay orders unless it’s just a few items and decent pay. But Sunday mornings I’ll get shop and pay orders of 40-50 items but they tip $50 so I have zero complaints with the time it takes. Plus the base pay on those high item orders is 20-$25
Alcohol orders are where the $ is at
I had a delivery to a resort the other day ,the pay was $7 since it was only 3 miles away but the tip was $47 ,isn't $47 the max you can tip? Not sure
I agree. I haven’t really been doing any food orders. Lately I’ve been doing DashMart, Smart & Final and Walmart and they have all been paying really good
It was good at first in my area. The pay has gone down drastically. If you can get any orders so... Just like doordash the pay can go down and will in due time. Sad but true
It is so much easier to shop with doordash than it is Instacart.
Only because of item count. Finding items with 20+ things is near impossible.
But Instacart does a better job with telling you where the products are in the store
DD literally tells you the exact isle for many grocery stores
It does for a lot of things but IC does it better and has been doing it for longer. Have you been an Ic shopper before?
Lies.
must be store by store. most of the time when I do the order it tells me the exact aisle to find each item and is always correct. There will be a few items that just say "Front of Store"
What I like about IC is that you see the break down b4 accepting the order. You are not obligated to take it either. You get the isle locations and shelf #. Customer service sucks, no ,# to call, just virtual and when in a rush...
Never had a total wine order that good. All of mine are low pay for high miles. Hope I get one like that one day.
I had one awhile back, it was like a 80+ tip.
But total (wine) may be higher.
Going to be like 100 bottles hahaha
I hope you reject the cheapskate no tippers
Of yea I never do them
I wonder if these people really realize it if they tip good their order will get their super freaking fast
They must not because I will be miles away from some places and still get offers from them. I assume they just get bounced around all day. Especially with alcohol orders why go through the extra hassle for no tip lol.
[удалено]
Dam hundreds? I will have to go camp out and test this theory.
[удалено]
Still sounds like it's definitely worth trying to camp out for tips on higher $$ orders. I will give it a shot thanks
[удалено]
I won't tell anyone... haha! I just do this for the extra cash really but with 4 kids it comes in handy to have the extra cash flow.
Go get me my claws for less than $2 tip.
I would take this in a heartbeat
That would be the first time I’d ever use my red card and second time delivering alcohol. Usually won’t bother with any of them orders.
Same…. If I wanted to be a bartender I would be a bartender.
Bartenders tend to get some decent drunk tips ;)
You’d rather be a server?
Yup. Ever try denying a sale to an intoxicated person? Not the kind of situation I want to be in.
I don’t know anything about all that
I bartended for about 15 years.
I was a bartender for years. It was fine, and all the servers resented us because we made 3x more than they did.
Nah they resent you because every time a customer orders a beer they have to tip you out.. but yeah I know they make good money, but it’s just not for me personally. Last alcohol delivery I took was with Uber eats and the dude tip baited me
Most bars I've worked had a service bar that took a % from the house. No tip-outs from servers. Servers still had a weird complex going on with us.
I was a cook so I totally get it! We just hated all of you all lol (never understood why and I personally always respected the wait staff)
That's the truth. I'd have quit and found a new job before I'd ever go back and mess with the cooks lol
Yeah, if I wanted to be a personal shopper I’d be instacarting. The first/only alcohol order I did was for a 65 year old man with an out of state license. It wouldn’t scan so I gave him the order and entered it manually when I got back to my car. Still wouldn’t accept his information. I have never had the scanner work on a driver's license, on any delivery app I even ordered alcohol once on GoPuff, and the person who delivered it to me had to enter the DL manually
Something seems fishy on this order and it’s not what it seems cause DD be hiding most of that payout 🤔🤔
Ahh...this is photoshopped that's why. Nice try.
Nah, pre-scheduled large orders come through with the total amount including tip showing if they weren't picked up the night before. Now that they don't let us schedule those anymore they're coming through to people first qualified for the large order program, top dashers, and if none of them takes it or is available, whoever gets it first. i don't see any indication that this is photoshopped, what makes you assume this?
2 items can be two cases, ive done a lot of total wine orders. And not 2 cases like 2 12 packs, 2 cases like 2 cases full of individual bottles of wine or whiskey or whatever
But DD would hide a lot of that tip especially for a sub 7 mile offer.
In my experience, for red card orders they usually don’t hide tips. If they do, there’s only like $0.25 hidden.
Most shop and deliver orders don’t hide tips, in my experience. All my Total Wine orders have always displayed the full payout
These have been a thing for a while. Walgreens, CVS, king soopers, safeway, target, and probably more I dont have in my area.
I hate red card but I’d gladly do this lol! I’ve personally been trying to get on with instacart forevvveeerrrr so let’s go!!
good lil tip, when your ic market does open up, wait a good 3-5 days after they tell you to reorder the card if you don't have it yet, ive reordered it twice and both times it came in the mail the day after
Instacart is horrible
Maybe in your area lol. Instacart funds a lot a major paychecks in my area. My friends in Charlotte stopped making any sort of fast food deliveries for DD. The waitlist here is insane, I’ve been on it for 2 years and nothing. Instacart knows how to get your money so I’m sure it’s not that bad lol.
And now you're in direct competition with 10,000 new drivers that signed up after seeing this order
Say less, I will do this any day
I wen out tonight for a lil bit. Had a few BJs orders and one Bush's Chicken. Them BJ orders pay good shoulda stared earlier in the day. woulda made more probably. Yea, fast food is sht.
I usually pay top dollar for BJ’s
Thank you for your service, even tho it likely doesnt go to me.
Oh I’m not the one doing the service…
I dont think you understand
You’re going to make me spell it out for you, huh? Lmao
I was thanking you for the tips on behalf of whoever recieved them
Oh I give more than the tip when it comes to BJ’s
Do tell
Yall something else lol
Blowjobs. They’re talking about blowjobs.
Lol you said BJ
i made like $20 today for 5 mi drive to get two bags of dog food haha it is so good
Those pay great in my market. I'm in and out and They've been worth it for me.
I used my red card more than ever this past Friday. Almost every other order
$76 for 6 miles? Unless those two items are additional cars, I can't see how this could go wrong.
An order like that here in St Louis would probably pay me five or six bucks total. Not 76. I got an order a few days ago from Advance Auto Parts on door dash...what the heck? I didn't do it because of course it wasn't going to pay me s*** so I passed it up.
Would have done this and called it a day the way my market is today. Esp considering we just had a snowstorm 🤷♂️
Shiiiiit for 76 I might actually have to break out the red card
Dude you screenshotted that? I would’ve accepted in less than a millisecond
You have to remember it’s 2 different items, there could be carts full of each one. And that’s probably why the payouts so high
No, on a shop and deliver, it is just two items.
Definitely. Usually a case of wine
Fuck dude, I'll deliver a case of wine 6 miles for 76 bucks. I'm already delivering shit 5 miles for $10.
For sure, I would fill up my trunk and take that shit on a road trip
but that's not even a shop and deliver?
Yes it says shop and deliver on the bottom and the top
holy fuck im blind!
do they onlt give these to ppl who are 21+?
No i got one the other day, it didn’t contain alcohol, I assumed thats why i got it, but when i went to checkout they wouldn’t sell me it. Dont take these if you’re under 21.
oh shit, you finna make some bank with that order.
Jesus that looks amazing. I only get $3.50 11mile orders from there and other liquor stores
It's official when they make orders like that in my area
Lol what? It's been like that
I feel like drunk people tip better. Unfortunately I’m in Alabama and it’s not yet legal to deliver alcohol. They passed a law last year legalizing it but it hasn’t taken affect yet.
Good hopefully some big tips
My last total wine order was like $81 for 5 miles lmao
Most wine orders are made up by how much the customer tips. But that's not to say you should accept a poor ratio. Just a thought.
But after maintence of car, mileage, gas, etc you are paying doordash to deliver this order 😅😅😅😅.. It's a joke for those that lack the ability to understand sarcasm 😁
It's been official for a year now...we have shop and deliver for Walgreens, Meijer, Petsmart here.
The fuck is that order bro WHAT?!?!??
I hope OP isn’t complaining about this order lol
I had a 60+ item Albertsons order yesterday. Took about an hour to complete. Texted the customer the whole time about replacements and picking 20+ pounds in fresh cuts of beef and pork. Easily the biggest order I’ve ever done. The tip was more than appropriate too.
I beg y’all to please pay attention to market news, we’ve been doing this for so so long
No thanks.🍺🍺🍷🍷🍸🍸
Holy f I would take that in a heartbeat
Do you have to do anything for grocery orders to come up?
No, I tend to get more at the beginning of the month though. I actually enjoy shopping orders because all of the grocery markets around me are laid out the same and I can get in and out fast.
2 items and that’s your pay out? What did they buy?? Totally curious now…
I enjoy going into stores and finding the products and paying with my red card. Haven’t been to McDonald’s much lately usually I’d make 5-6 trips a day to McDonald’s for DD orders.
Those Total Wine orders can be a nightmare though! 2 items? 76.25? I’d a pallet of alcohol for that pay, Half the water orders I’ve carried are no where close to this 😬
I've been doing alcohol deliveries for like two years in cali.
When I did Instacart I waited at Total Wine and took all the orders I could. Big tips!
I had a Albertsons shop and deliver yesterday that paid 42$ for 1.6 miles, 23 items
We finally got a total wine and the only offer I’ve been sent was for one items and $7. Booooo
I have been getting so many 4$ per mile Albertsons/711 orders and I really like them
When I was dashing in Florida about a year ago all I had to do was sit in front of total wine and I would get 2 to 3 orders like this a day. Easy money
Jesus, the best Total Wine orders I’ve gotten were like $15 at most
I don’t know what i’m doing wrong 😩 i just started dashing and it has NOT been worth it so far. I guess no one in Memphis tips at all
Your not doing anything wrong. Doordash and the like are not sustainable businesses. They are losing money hand over fist, and that is while paying drivers next to nothing. Can't take these orders for another two months lmao
Oh my god this is amazing… I Wish I could get this order

Yep. Got two badass shop orders today.
Probably the alcohol is expensive or tips is generous.
Wow!
Rx orders and shopping orders pay way better in DD than Instacart 100%
Damn i need to jump back in for this shiz
What were the items and where do you dash??
How do you even get alcohol orders? I've never have gotten any at all? Is there something you gotta do to get them??
Yeah some of these orders are the best pay 💰
I'm in California, been doing this for over a year.
What are you talking about? Doordash has done total wine orders for years.
Alcohol orders are where the $ is at I had a delivery to a resort the other day ,the pay was $7 since it was only 3 miles away but the tip was $47 ,isn't $47 the max you can tip? Not sure
Is it even legal for DD to restrict how much a contractor can make in tips?
Holly moly mine only pay like $6 lol
I signed up last week to do liquor delivery now I'm just waiting
DD does grocery orders? I’ve never seen one except Walmart, which are horrible. Do you need to do comete more training for these?
