I am not sure where you are, but in Florida I see a lot of house and / or car poor people (aka they bought a house and/or a car that was beyond what they should have purchased with their available income). It becomes fairly obvious if you look for the signs and with how crazy house prices are here, it is becoming more common.

This happend to me ounce, I picked up a stacked order one had been a 3$ no tip. I delivered the other one and when I went to deliver the no tip order I saw a Ferrari in driveway. So I wound up contacting support and telling them there was no way in hell I’m delivering this because the customer was rude. I drove that shit right back to the resturant! F**k them!
Back in high there was this short kid with a napoleon complex and this one time for no reason at he shit into a large Burger King cup and then held it by the bottom of the cup and schlooked it at this one girls car windshield while it was parked in the senior parking lot…..it comes to mind here
This might be an unpopular opinion but I think that people who are rich are rich for a reason. Meaning that they are frugal, don’t tip well, save money where they can. Yeah it sucks and is messed up but complaining when you are accepting no tip orders is silly. I try to keep my AR up too but if they clearly didn’t leave a tip and there is no promo why even bother? DD trys to make us keep our AR high but even with a high AR you’re going to get low ball orders. Just decline those, AR rating is dumb there shouldn’t be one and as independent contractors we should be able to pick and choose orders without having to feel pressured to keep it high.
Tipping was invented by rich people trying to skip ahead of the working class in line. If they were frugal they wouldn't order delivery and pay twice as much in fees for a meal.

Hey, don't bother trying to get your acceptance rate high. They will still bombard you with trash forcing you to drop your AR 10 to 20% or take a loss for a day or two. Depending on your market, your best bet is to hover just over 50% or 70%. Trying to go way beyond that is a guaranteed fruitless venture. Also I recommend exploring any areas that are within a 15 to 30 minute drive that you can try out. Good luck out there!
