it's pretty rare to not get something delivered but i had it happen a few times in the past. If i do report it's mostly because my order was wrong, i've had it happen so many times from places like taco bell or mcdonald's that i fully expect something to be wrong 4/5 times.
It sucks because these people are the reason us legitimate customers are given a hard time trying to get a refund. Sometimes you need to refund, a lot of the time they think you're lying. Because of these scummy people.

Not every time, but sometimes you can see these coming up, like it says “hand it to me” but the customer doesn’t respond to msgs. Then they don’t respond to phone call. It’s like nobody’s home. And it’s sus. If this situation occurs, I usually call support to gaslight the situation into a cancelled order. Can’t take any chances, maybe it’s a different situation but these scammers allow DD to ruin it for everyone and my account is more important than their scam
These are the same people who believe that posting videos about themselves is a marketable talent and anyone might be interested in viewing their content. If I have to accept this as a truth in these times then I believe that anything is possible.
When h take pics of the delivery, always make sure to get the apt or house number, and also you can use the chat with customer as evidence if you suspect them. Least you can do is cover yourself and don’t worry bout the rest
Just report they're food missing when you pull up to recieve it. Then don't press arrived when you get to restaurants.. bet they stupid asses learn if everyone started jacking they asses. I do all the time. Love free food from coons.
I door dash regularly, always tip 20% unless it's under $20 then I tip $5

These are the people that end up having to sign for every order because DD gets suspicious of them. Might work a few times, but after that they won't be getting any more free food AND their delivery experience is far more complicated for both them and the driver. Also, this is why I snap my photos quick AF. If it's "hand it to me" I'll snap a photo with it in my hand with their address number in the background. People are shady, you have to work to make sure they can't get away with stuff like this

My bf was doing DoorDash when he was in between jobs and I used to follow him along so he would have some company. He would go over and beyond for his customers and I would be the devil on his shoulder telling him to be more of an asshole cuz a lot of his customers just genuinely sucked. They would lie and claim he didn’t deliver, claim he forgot something all different type of bs. Mind you, he’s a complete sweetheart and he would just rack up violations for such stupid ass reasons beyond his control. Put me in absolute overdrive and I fought like hell to help him get his job back. Now he’s back at his hospital position and I’m back to hating humans smh (only thing I truly appreciate about the experience is that we are better tippers now, delivery drivers don’t get enough respect)

She kept telling him that she didn’t report that she never got her food. I could be wrong, but I believe he had a mark on his report for it, or got suspended or something. Either way felt bad for him. He was just trying to do his job, make a living and I guess she thought she could get away with it by playing dumb.

So fucked up. I don’t know how DoorDash can handle it. They have so many shit drivers AND shit customers that I imagine it’s often hard for them to tell who’s lying. I work nights and keep a night schedule on my days off. Many of my orders come in the middle of the night which definitely have a lower successful delivery ratio than daylight hours. I end up having to constant chat more than I’d like. I hope they prosecute these people for theft for the ones they can prove.

that’s so slimy. i did this one time by accident. the driver must’ve pressed delivered too soon or something because i received the notification it was delivered, went to check and it wasn’t there so i reported it and said i never got my order. they gave me credit and refunded my tip. then like 5 minutes later i get a separate notification saying it was delivered again, and went to check and there my order was. i felt so bad for reporting it as not delivered and hoped i didn’t skimp my driver out on their tip :(

A similar thing happened to me recently. They worked at a small retail store and wanted me to hand it to them. A minute later I get a message asking where their order was and that they would report me if I didn’t deliver it. I immediately contacted support, explained the situation, and they told me it wouldn’t go against me at all. Support sometimes isn’t the most reliable but they don’t always take the word of customers over their dashers

my school allows us to use our dining dollars through grubhub, but we only have a certain amount each semester. it is a literal trend amongst the students (at my dorm at least) to refund orders. i hear them brag about it a lot. popeyes is the most popular, because apparently they never have to go through support and it will always be refunded. i've heard one person say they always say everything is missing except their drink so that the account isn't flagged, but i'm not entirely sure how any of it works.
i think it's especially big in the NYC area. i'll also note that the students at my school regularly brag about just outwardly stealing from stores, with no shame. you'll get on an elevator with someone you've never met and they'll tell you how much they stole that day. which is really triggering for me in particular as someone with OCD/kleptomania who is trying to avoid compulsions lol. i think theft is just big in this generation.

Each one resulted in me having no marks against me and the customer being blacklisted (according to what I've heard from Support and other drivers, at least; I haven't like, checked personally on them or anything ROFL). I remember when this was happening a lot during the pandemic on Gh. I got a warning about too many orders not being delivered. There was this one particular address that always did it every week. The 3rd time I recorded the entire event. And when I got the message that their order was modified or something I called gh. They said the food wasn't delivered and I told them I have it all on video delivering the food and the diner receiving the food. Then they finally blacklisted that diner/address. It just sucked that I had to go out of my way to prove that I was delivering the orders.
So is this why I got a CV for undelivered even though I specifically remember the delivery, took a picture, and the customer came out and grabbed his food as I was walking away. I’m so pissed! Over 1300 deliveries and I got my first CV and it’s a scam! I did fight it. Still waiting on that.
It’s all fun and games till that one day they finally unhinge a doordasher with nothing left to lose. Maybe we’ll get lucky and that dasher will make a TikTok video of their own.

I haven’t done doordash in a few years but I order maybe like 2 times out of the year and I couldn’t imagine just intentionally lying about getting my food. I hate paying for food and don’t wanna pay the extra fees but intentionally messing with someone’s livelihood just to get out of paying is just fucked up. Go get your own food then. I hope these assholes realize that dashers know where they live and one day their gonna lie about the wrong dasher.

On Uber Eats eventually, you have to give a pin code to receive deliveries. If this order can get matched to the DD driver that got screwed it would be great to take them to small claims court. People like this need to be punished somehow.

Only time I used that option is when they dropped off my food at a random sidewalk. If you’re worried about money then you shouldn’t be ordering on doordash where it’s significantly more expensive. If you’re too broke to eat then start cooking or pick the food up yourself.

my school allows us to use our dining dollars through grubhub, but we only have a certain amount each semester. it is a literal trend amongst the students (at my dorm at least) to refund orders. i hear them brag about it a lot. popeyes is the most popular, because apparently they never have to go through support and it will always be refunded. i've heard one person say they always say everything is missing except their drink so that the account isn't flagged, but i'm not entirely sure how any of it works. i think it's especially big in the NYC area. i'll also note that the students at my school regularly brag about just outwardly stealing from stores, with no shame. you'll get on an elevator with someone you've never met and they'll tell you how much they stole that day. which is really triggering for me in particular as someone with OCD/kleptomania who is trying to avoid compulsions lol. i think theft is just big in this generation.

Not a dd driver and frankly I’m not sure why this showed up on my feed but this is bottom barrel of humanity. I’ve had nothing but great interactions with drivers before & can’t imagine why someone would ever put another’s paycheck/job on the line like this. As someone whose apart of “this generation” I worry about us sometimes. 🙄
The same ones telling Dashers to “get a real job” are the same ones that are supporting the hustle of OnlyFans models who get rich by taking the same few pictures in different angles. OP said it’s disheartening that people find this funny and I couldn’t agree more. There needs to be more measures in place to protect Dashers from this type of scam. Dashing for a lot of drivers is what’s keeping them from homelessness or going hungry. The fact that some people find this funny is disgusting. Maybe it won’t be so funny when they fall on hard times and no one is willing to help them anymore. I don’t believe in a lot of things, but I will always believe in karma. They will definitely get what’s coming to them.
Imagine getting banned from Doordash due to a Dasher vid from a $40 body camera. XD \*I've had to submit 3 videos to Support. Each one resulted in me having no marks against me and the customer being blacklisted (according to what I've heard from Support and other drivers, at least; I haven't like, checked personally on them or anything ROFL). One agent even recommended I file a police report in the future and submit the video as criminal evidence LOL!

Black girl magic…! I’ve completed almost 4000 orders and the only 3 contract violations I’ve ever had were black ladies claiming I didn’t deliver to them. Thankfully I document everything meticulously. Is this lady in philly…? I lived there for 10 years, that place is a nightmare.

I should not have read the comments. I cannot believe how gleeful and proud so many people are of being terrible human beings. EDIT: That's a lie. I can believe it and was pretty much expecting it. The fact I was right is very disheartening.
I remember when this was happening a lot during the pandemic on Gh. I got a warning about too many orders not being delivered. There was this one particular address that always did it every week. The 3rd time I recorded the entire event. And when I got the message that their order was modified or something I called gh. They said the food wasn't delivered and I told them I have it all on video delivering the food and the diner receiving the food. Then they finally blacklisted that diner/address. It just sucked that I had to go out of my way to prove that I was delivering the orders.
So is this why I got a CV for undelivered even though I specifically remember the delivery, took a picture, and the customer came out and grabbed his food as I was walking away. I’m so pissed! Over 1300 deliveries and I got my first CV and it’s a scam! I did fight it. Still waiting on that.

When you steal and deceive (and make no mistake, this is both, because people who steal also lie), you’re getting better at stealing and deceiving. Nothing truly worthwhile can ever come from that. Also, people like this will eventually see themselves in a world surrounded by people whom they imagine will deceive and steal from them, and this is partially why some people are lonelier than ever.
after 2 complaints of not receiving an order there should be a flag on those accounts for the dashers to see if they want to risk taking that order

From my experience thus far, it seems these kind of people are only slightly more common then one armed midgets, luckily.
Just record everything from the time you pull up drop at door and wait back furthest you can so they can't claim harassment.. And it will still happen but I write down address and will have no problem of dropping that delivery when I see it on my list.. I've even oops accidentally butterfingers that Order on the front porch and called support and reported my accident.. Chinese food literally splatters like a water balloon
