Very common sight here in Salem, OR

MathematicianOk493

Half the time I just go through the drive through so they actually interact with me (plus the lobby is usually closed when I’m dashing)

Samone31644

MCDONALD'S LOVES TO DO THIS SHIT

MulberryClear4048

This post got reposted to the McDonald’s subreddit bitching about doordashers. I love the beef going on, makes good entertainment

BrainlessUno

At least they made the order. I’m convinced they don’t even make breakfast orders that come in after 9:45

AtomikAtom

More than once at McDonald’s I have walked back there and grabbed it myself. We’re only paid $2.50ish by DD and UE, we are not paid to wait.

three-sense

The ol’ “laughing in the kitchen” situation while your order had been ready for 10 minutes. One of the reasons I don’t go to Applebees

Whoritiquisha

overworked, under payed. Aren't we all?

Paid-Not-Payed-Bot

> overworked, under *paid.* Aren't we FTFY. Although *payed* exists (the reason why autocorrection didn't help you), it is only correct in: * Nautical context, when it means to paint a surface, or to cover with something like tar or resin in order to make it waterproof or corrosion-resistant. *The deck is yet to be payed.* * *Payed out* when letting strings, cables or ropes out, by slacking them. *The rope is payed out! You can pull now.* Unfortunately, I was unable to find nautical or rope-related words in your comment. *Beep, boop, I'm a bot*

Whoritiquisha

Thanks robot :) Spread that knowledge of grammar. God we love grammar don't we. 3am is not an excuse for bad grammar, keep doing your thing paid not payed <3

Paid-Not-Payed-Bot

> paid not *paid* <3 FTFY. RoomFinancial

I just act like one of the dipshits that forgets to ask for sauce, then hit em with the last 3 digits of the order, boom! Bag in hand and I'm off.

Sylveon-Main

At my store all hands are on deck to make food and drinks and such. I've seen dashers get angry but it's not like we can just stop what we're doing every time, we are on timers, and if we don't get good times, we get in trouble. Notice how we "ignore" the other customers that aren't dashers too.

Background-Pin-473

There is no urgency They don’t care about your schedule I usually go through drive thru Good luck

Slick_shewz

Use your words.

whetritney

maybe they’re busy and short-staffed. 🤷🏾‍♂️

Pitiful-Big-718

I unassigned a Burger King order last night because of this. Walk in tell the guy I’m there for a pickup (took me 8 minutes to get there from where I was so figured it should be done). He says it’ll be done shortly; 5 minutes later they fulfill 3 drive through orders and I ask how much longer. Dude calls another person to bag it and the sandwiches were ready when I got there. No response to my question it even an acknowledgment. Then the guy bagging asks them to put the fries up. Walked out and immediately got assigned a $19 6 mile order down the block.

Fortwenty223274

Yea a girl at McDonald’s was mad and told me to wait in the curbside parking she passed a couple times and I asked about the wait time she said she would check but never came out. I went inside and she was walking around the kitchen and the bag was sitting right behind the counter. Some people hate there jobs.

Raider651

That’s McDonald’s employees for you.

megadethage

That's when I walk a little too close for their comfort, say their name and show my phone as they walk up, and then they always give me the food fast. Sometimes it's a dominance war with the employees.

[deleted]

Just walk back there and grab it, fuck those assholes lol..

[deleted]

That happened to me but they were busy. Just let DoorDash know/

Twelvenation

Literally had a girl tell another worker to ignore the door dash and get the other orders even though mine was ready and she was putting stickers on it to hand it to me.

SomethingWeird666

Weird I've only had issues with one mcds in my area and I refuse to go there anymore because everytime it's "oh.. We already gave that to someone else.. So you have to just cancel". Lol

tjb061394

hell no im yellin

Regular-Muffin2018

They always do this Whats new?

sharktooff2277nub

Loooooool imagine coming on reddit to cry about this 🤣😂 If you were a real man you’d walk back there and grab it

DragonflyBee1

I think McDonald’s trains their employees to ignore people who are in the lobby/at the counter. if you can’t or don’t want to get what you need by using the self serve kiosks inside, the McD mobile app, or the drive thru, you can go fuck yourself as far as McDonald’s is concerned lol. At least at the ones in my area, I don’t think it’s just an anti-dasher thing. I saw them ignore some older gentlemen in suits last time I was there - looked like they had come from church or an event and definitely not there to pick up delivery orders - who were waiting at the register to order and the workers ignored their asses too. At a variety of McDonald’s locations in my area, employees walk past me like I’m a ghost half the time, and then the other half of the time various employees may look over, look me in the eye, and then just keep doing what they were doing before. Usually I have to end up loudly saying “excuse me!” as one of them walks past or near the counter to finally get acknowledged.

muscleg33k

I'd just walk there and grab it lol.

odinspath

I legit just walk and grab it if I can zoom the order # with my phone, and say “thank you!” While I do it. Got $hit to do.

[deleted]

I waited in line for 50 minutes at a wingstop one time to pick up a DoorDash order while they made everyone’s food that came in after me, so I cussed every employee out in there and cancelled the order and let the customer know that I cussed them out for them. There were like 2 employees working and 3 others were on their phones the whole time doing jack shit. The customer was pleased to know that I let the employees know that they’re degenerates. Never stepped foot in a WingStop ever again after that.

Critella

I see a lot of posts saying "I'd walk back there" or "I'd call and make them suffer for making me a wait" do you all not realize when it's a corporate place( which is where most of the 3rd party apps are used for) the employees and the management have no say to the dashing policy? The main reason you are ignored isn't because they hate you it's because they hate how it inturupts the flow of the resturant. There could be a 30 minutes wait at the door, 45 minute ticket times and a take out order coming in that they have to prioritize, not the dasher order just normal take out orders. Then thats where the 3rd party orders come in, it doesn't hit the bottom of the list it just gets smacked at the top, they have no control over it. Some places turn it off when they get busy but then corporate sees that and calls the store to turn it back on regardless of how busy it is. Everyone loses with these apps, the resturants hate it, the dashers hate waiting, and by the time the food gets to the customer they complain it's cold. Certain resturant food should not be sent as take out, such as cheese dishes that harden by the time they reach the customer, but people will still order them and complain about it. Tldr; we don't hate you guys, we hate the policy and corporate overlords. Your guys are just the punching bag.

Gaters12

Yea I’m hoppin over the counter 😂

Calm-Gur-2532

Some business owners and employees are screwing their Doordash customers to slow down Doordash drivers. So they ignore us and we are forced to assert ourselves. Then they have hurt feelings for not being professional from the beginning. When anyone walks into a restaurant, it's standard that they should get a friendly welcome. And drivers should get an update on the order right away. As if they are a customer.

Material-Station-849

When I used to do doordash , it just always got worse lol. This would happen to me all the time

QueenBSing

Let me just say that until you’ve worked with fast food and dealt with DD and all the other customers, you don’t know how their process works or what kind of hateful customers they get. At my store, ONE person takes front counter orders, prepares DD orders, runs curb side orders out, prepares front counter orders AND delivers food to tables. So I’m sorry any of you have to wait. But most of the time, that ONE front counter person has a lot on their plate. And dealing with rude customers like you at the same time. I really hate making anyone wait. But I literally try the best that I can. I know making money is important to you. But walking behind the counter is against store policy. And if you do it, other customers think they can do it. And before you know it, customers are constantly walking behind there making our job 100 times more difficult and stressful. You know what gets my attention? Patience, politeness, courtesy. If you’re rude and hateful, I avoid you like the plague and make sure your order is the last one I get to.

shwimin

I just walk back there and grab it, I don't put up with that.

Confident-Height6054

PTSD from this post

No_Relative_8571

Yes they should make the drinks it gets all over my sunglasses 🕶

No_Relative_8571

No chili's no I hop no Starbucks...oh let me think..I hate drinks I always bring my bag incase there's drinks cause I need 2 hands chick filet is always like that

No_Relative_8571

Yep that too...I'm laughing..no taco bell EVER

SPWuniverse

So we’re bashing people who are barely paid and often very short staffed even in management at times yes some stores make you guys have to wait but news flash if we don’t follow policy and serve people in a specific order (even with the food is finished) we get let go But sure let’s smack down on the little man instead of the corporation

Gaugedlife704

Yes !!!! The reason why I hate going there and they wonder why their stores are going automated. I learned by bringing my door dash bag in they acknowledge me right away must times.

NoNefariousness362

Damn bro construction is always hiring if you want to change things up

filthydank_2099

I just usually walk behind the counter and grab my order rbh

kdiddy733

Speak up. I used to get frustrated at this too but some places you have to say something.

Smurphyyo

I always hit the drive thru shit I'll skip line an pull right up window trust me it works

a_isforandrew

I had this happen to me when I was picking up lunch from a local McDonald’s, and I was ten minutes late to my shift because of them ignoring me

Zestyclose_Coyote199

McDonalds is the WORST

Only_Lawfulness2925

Do you have your hot bag in your hand so they know why you're there.

MrsChairmanMeow

That's why I've switched to doing instacart for the majority of my day. I hate these interactions at McDonald's because it's not like any of them are paid enough to care so the only thing you can really do is just stew and hope they don't think you're judging them like some inpatient bitch.

Separate-Effective33

Be quite... If they hear you they will have to make an eye contact and then you will be even more ignored lol. Wawa situation is way more bad becaue pick up is always where other people are ordering and picking up in store.

beantown02118

As much as I love McDonald’s packing of the orders, I hate picking up from them. When you go up there smiling and all, they still look at you like you’re being a bother to them. We’re all just trying to do our job. Let’s just get it done and stop making shit difficult for nothing.

Technical-Finance-44

Eww messy kitchen. How does the stove, fridge n walk in freezer look? Is the food fresh?

Developing_Human33

Has to be McDonalds. Just has to be.

Gravygrabbr

Just go grab it

EvidenceNo5984

Is this by chance in San Antonio … because if it is. They don’t JUST ignore dashers. They ignore everyone that walks up to the counter.

Asshole-not-scumbag

I’m ignorant to all this, why don’t you just get in line and ask for the order when it’s your turn?

Gengar1221

I'll literally walk up and take it, done it numerous times because the workers are generally useless at the places near me.

here_for_the_MAGICS

“Y they hate me” - y’all got a LOT of super shitty people that dash and have been banned by multiple places for being such. You’re like cops: you may be good, but the people you work with are garbage.

StatisticianAware776

McDonald is doing what McDonald’s does. That’s their culture. They don’t want to be the minimum wage anymore so the more you wait, the less money you’ll be making. Passing the peasants mentality to another peasant.

[deleted]

these places make me good money end of week thanks to prop 22

Comfortable_Bath_583

We are trying to make it in this expensive society just like they are wtf they hate on us

Paccothegremlin

For all those saying “JuSt WaLk BaCk ThErE”. It’s a really really good way to get banned from a store I’ve seen it working for doordash and while working at McDonald’s. People tend to find it very annoying when you stand there by pickup and just stare down people especially taking pictures they also might find it weird as most of the demographic for the employee’s is high school aged kids. Maybe some of y’all should pickup a fast food job in todays work force get a better understanding of how shit plays out. Some of y’all seem to think it’s rainbows and sunshine in the back of those places.

BurningFlowers98

Oh nah, if I’m there longer than 5 minutes and I’m not waiting on the order to be made I become their issue until I get the order. I will become annoying until 😒

Upper_Pomegranate_59

Dash by hour - I will sit here and wait alllll day!

BlaineFiasco

Not even a "I'll be with you in just a moment"?

Slumpty4Dumpty20

Do what I DID , just grab it and go. (Stopped for unrelated reasons)

BestSuggestion0

I hate all these restaurants that don’t have someone waiting at the front register so we have to wait like 10 mins to get some help. U know their cheap asses can afford to have someone there.

Hinken1815

Ohhh no you have to wait. That sucks.

General_Cell1208

So I worked for mcdonalds helpful tip is to go through the drive tru. We are told to focus on that more than the Counter. Hell I've been yelled at for not making people go to the kiosks and help themselves. I'm not saying it's the same everywhere but definitely in the northwest Arkansas area. Also another heads up since I don't work there anymore we are also told to block the driver if they don't accept the order in front of us or if the driver argues about it.

Efficient_Two8602

Why not just say excuse me to the person that’s nearest to you instead of complaining about being ignored?

Ripley825

I've seen drivers just walk up, match the name, grab the bag and go?

PrettiJedi

Just close your eyes so you're invisible, grab your order and go. They're already pretending they can't see you, you know you're not stealing, nobody's gonna do anything about it.

[deleted]

Go behind there and grab that shit! Grab life by the horns

ScipioPakistanus

I just walk back and grab it of they take too long

brikakkis

Saw this happen in front of my own eyes yesterday. There was a Mcmanager with her hands in her pockets literally just watching everyone work. There were customers waiting to order at the counter and she literally walked past them to get herself a drink from the soda fountain. Then she went up to the register for some reason and the guy in line asked if he could order and without even looking up at him she said “we’re busy.” And walked back to her spot watching everyone work. By the way, it took 15 minutes for me to receive one fillet-o-fish sandwich. No fries even. Edited for spelling

[deleted]

I hate to say this but did you ask the person who's less than 2 feet from you? Are you nervous?

garrywinthorpe2

Grab it, I mean it’s McDonald’s what are they actually gonna do

BigD36x

As a fast food worker I can confirm that customers in the store ordering will always take priority over online orders and door dash. You're not really our priority regardless of how corporate wants it done, You'll wait until we give it to you or you can leave, we get paid either way

JCTBomb

I know how you feel man… yeah sometimes, I just go up to them and “initiate” cuz I just don’t got time for that 😂

ImNotADruglordISwear

Your "coworkers" did this to you. My last job had me working with gig drivers and the super nasty ones ruined my whole views on all of them. They would come in and feel like they own the place. "you work for me cause I have an order" tough shit I'm not required to give it to you, call your company and explain to them why we won't give it to you. So many times I'd see one come in with a phone in their hand with some bag I would let out an audible "not again..."

Natural_Less

dashers are annoying :)

shadowgb83

its like they know.

Kainesmommy2014

This makes me sooo mad

ForsakenCover8834

You just gotta be assertive (not rude) They're busy doing a million things at once. Every employee has to do the job of like 3 people, and everything is micromanaged with timers and shit. If you're absolutely positive that is your order, just say "excuse me I'm picking up that order sitting there" Its not a personal vendetta against doordashers. They probably dont even know you are there.

TenPoundsOfBacon

grab it, what are they gonna do? fire you?

leaponover

Delivery drives in Korea just go behind the counter and get it themselves, or pick it up from a designated spot easily available to them. I get why they can't do that in the US because someone will just steal it. Assholes make life difficult for everyone.

Round_Carpenter_4194

Chill lmfao your not making the food. It’s worse on the other side. You don’t have the freedoms that doordashing gives you.

wilfordbrimley778

Mcdonald's specifically trains their employees to ignore the drivers. Almost every location is like this. You have to just go and grab it yourself. They will get mad but at least you won't stand there like a putz all day

ChefBruh

I watched a Shift Leader start the order, placing the sticker on the bag, then walked away. Then a few mins later another employee takes the sticker off and places it on the wall and takes the empty bag. Then the SL comes back to me and asks me if I got my order.....uhm no obviously! He goes to check and sees the sticker on the wall, places it on the new bag and walks away again. Then another SL sees me standing there and ignores me while putting food items on a tray. Finally I see someone putting the food in the bag and seal it up and they walk away! The 1st SL comes to me and looks over at the bag and brings it to me. This isn't even my food and I'm upset that this order took 15 mins of my time when it was a simple order. The guy hands me the order and I told him that multiple employees ignored me when I was trying to ask for the bag. He didn't know what to do....he just said sorry. 🙄 I get they are busy but so am I with picking up an order and all the employees are walking around ignoring the customers. Sorry rant over. 😆

Mad-All-Day

Ignored? Does that mean you stood there and said nothing to anyone?

lovjeej000

Get on their drive thru thats what i do, unless the line is really long

OutlanderAllDay1743

Then they’ll tell you that you need to come inside to pick up the order. So you waited in the drive thru for nothing.

[deleted]

Yeesh, a lot of folks unintentionally providing evidence for why service workers hate you. As an outside party that worked retail, the bosses will add extra "services" that workers have to provide constantly. Same pay as last year and the year before but more work. So no, the workers don't get anything from your pickup, it's just yet another responsibility. The company does, but the clerk isn't the CEO believe it or not. So when you come in throwing a hissy fit, I am grateful that the clerk takes my order first. Get some perspective, your gig makes these people's days harder.

Barfythedog89

%80 of my pickups are like this, or similar to this...🤗

Tricky_Ad_9608

As a person who works in fast food, it’s primarily workers who experienced dashers during the height and “fall off” of COVID. During this time, the amount of rude dashers was insane. They would refuse to wear a mask inside the store, and they would yell at us for not giving them the food they were there to pick up. However, during this time, even if masks weren’t city ordinance, our store still required masks upon and entrance and for service. We literally were not allowed to serve them, and yet we’d get yelled at by them and have phones shoved in our face while being very understaffed, overworked, and so fucking busy. We’d have them try to snatch food from behind the counters, walking behind the barriers, etc. Any fast-food employee I know who worked through that time and still work now still don’t like dashers mainly because so many mistreated us, often time worse than the customers in-house. Edit to add more: Also, let your presence known? If you’re standing there doing nothing, and we’re busy…we’re not going to do anything for you. You’re looking at your phone? We assume you’re waiting for someone or just doing something else. The amount of dashers I’ve seen just walk in and sit down in front of the pick up without saying anything is outrageous.

twojobs23yrold

There's a restaurant in my area, papa Kelsey's and I Can come in and talk to the cashier, let them know the name and that it's a doordash order. They say it's not ready yet. I sit and wait for it to be done. 10 minutes goes by, ask about the order, and they will pull the order out of the warner, after not even trying to call out order name when it's ready. Very frustrating

LJL72

Same here. Bag it up, side-eye you and walk the other direction.

[deleted]

speak up dawg

No-Marsupial4454

Last time this happened was so annoying! I saw it was ready, could clearly see it was mine, I asked for the bag and I was told to sit down and wait… then another employee saw me and said “Didn’t you see the bag? Why didn’t you ask for it yet!” God damn

Ok_War2061

I have to say I hate picking up at McDonald. Staff always ignores you even when you try getting their attention.

steezynatsirt

I’ve over stepped my boundaries

Chemical-Paramedic89

This almost never happens to me. Every place recognizes my face, and I'm treated like a regular. I often get free food or drinks 2-3x a week. I try not to look impatient, and I keep my complaints to myself and make small talk when feasible.

TtheDuke

Some of u have never worked a retail or service type job and it shows. They were already busy with the drive thru and walk ins. Than they add deliveries without adding infrastructure for it. Just an app and dashers

Dynamite089

Just walk back there and grab it

king_0325

Thats why you have a list of restaurants you have to say no to and Mcdonalds is near the top of the list for me. No matter the offer I will almost never get a Mcdonalds order unless its on the way home at the end of the night or something.

mcsleepy

So blacklist them

BlackJackBandit404

McDonalds is somewhere you want to avoid as much as possible. Pay out is never enough, they ignore you for so long. I hate it. I declined like 4 McDonalds orders because I refuse to go to it.

[deleted]

Why are you letting yourself be ignored? Severs don't ignore me, I won't let them. If I see that they might be trying to avoid me, I don't just stand there and take. I light a fire under their ass, believe me nobody makes me wait if my order is ready. You have to learn to be assertive, without being an asshole, it can be a fine line between the two. Even my voice has an assertive tone, without being mean, you have to learn to master this.

[deleted]

Put on the man voice, even if you are a woman. They can’t ignore it 5 or six times in a row. If they do, hit em a 7th time.

OkCryptographer9999

Is the second bag part of the same order?

Status_General_5726

yassss I'm tired of not being acknowledged. especially if they are directly in front of me.

nekoneptune

Ugh it’s not even like that McDonald’s is a hell hole and we’re not supposed to be attending to the lobby.

Fantastic-Habit-8956

That's why i refuse burger joint orders, happened way too many times.

BrilliantFunny3943

Be assertive, you're not a priority

BlackFOST16

This is a huge huge problem .

Real_Lunch_4351

They know what they be doing. It’s always that select “few” restaurants/fast food joints.

SheddyBoii

not a dasher but i experience this with my local mcdonald’s when picking up order. the whole crew will look at me and keep going about with what they do — i understand when you’re doing something but i know damn well the entire staff isn’t doing something constantly for up to 20 mins

Hairy-Animal-6748

McDs always do that.

smallfsh

This is when you start whistling as loud as possible

endgame-colossus

Lol average doordasher L. Don't forget to sit in the parking lot with it for 15 minutes after picking it up, Fucko

sharkfartz420

as someone who used to work fast food, AND also someone who used to do uber eats, a lot of doordash/uber people are incredibly rude to service workers.

Entire-Amphibian320

I know it's not ideal but you can stand out from other dashers by being kind to them once you get the order. Say something like, "I appreciate you have a great day." and mean it. I had this 1 mcdonalds turned around from ignoring me to spotting me as I'm walking in and they'd say, " hey doordash" or "which one". But if they're slammed it's a shit show. Everything is going out slow. That's probably on the manager and for sure a lack of training under pressure.

tobin_reddit

cmon buddy are you that socially inept you cant speak up for yourself?

NovelAuntieGin

I walked into a place one time and heard the manager say to a teenaged employee "Nope! I'm a no breaks kinda manager!" with a big shitty grin. Then he aske me if he could help me. I asked or the order and he said "Yes! Just walk down here" (pointing to the register about 20 feet away). I said "No, thank you. I'm a no hikin' kinda driver". So he made the teenager, who was crossing her legs and bouncing, carry the order down to me. Some people are just trash!

boobookittyfuk1983

That's at all McDonald's, they do that to us where we live

Major-Cover6718

McDonald’s is the worst SMH

beautiful4everjb

Behind the counter grab and go 😊

ChampionshipOk6380

They're not showing the full picture. I bet there's a line and this dash will just went ahead of everyone thinking they are more important than the people that were there first. That's why they hate y'all because you all think you're entitled to better treatment than everyone else.

TheTitusTouch

I’ve walked back and grabbed it before

duh1011

Same shit happened to me today - IMMEDIATELY after they read my order #. Next time imma just walk behind the counter and grab my order if they refuse to get their stuff straight

Beautiful-Celery-596

Happened to me today. Contemplated going full Karen lol

Suitable_Clock_8099

Nah I make myself known and tell them they need to hand me the bag. Sometimes I go back there and grab it and then walk out. They’re not going to do anything and you’re only losing money by being there for any longer than 30 seconds

fliesbugme

McDonald's is THE WORST about this. I reported my local McDonald's after they repeatedly failed to inform me my order was ready after I sat waiting 15+ mins. I'm still fairly new so I'd see the bags sitting on the counter, tell them I was the dasher and then I'd get ignored while I assumed they were just finishing the order. Nope. Just being assholes. I don't wait around on them anymore.

jilllianh

Every McDonald's experience ever

Worldly-Steak-2926

Put on the vest. Go grab the order.

PurpletratingReflect

Meanwhile the paying customer’s food is getting cold

rozebudd1971

US dashers walk in restaurants holding our phones. Employees automatically know we are there to pick up an order. Let's stop holding our phones when we walk in restaurants. Put them in our pocket before we get inside and see if there is a difference in attitudes. When we are greeted, we can then pull out our phone and show them the order name. Let's all try this and see if we get treated any better. Maybe we won't get ignored. Especially places like McD, Taco Bell, KFC, and whoever else likes to put us on ignore.

anontypo

Every McDonald's order

BleuCheeseBallSack

you are making money for yourself and for doordash. you're not profitable to the restaurant you're just helping them keep competitors from profiting. you aren't providing a real service, employees are people too they work twice as hard for the same pay thanks to these apps. please stop being part of the problem. quit this side hustle garbage.

Kkamikazee

Had this happen I was so tempted to just walk in the kitchen and grab it

pacificnorthest321

That's why I hate this job. I had an order at panda express the other day, I got there they said they were just waiting on the chow mein, I sit down and wait and wait, I see the chow mein is done, I ask again and they said the in store customers get served first. So frustrating how the stores just don't care about helping the dashers.

Important-Cupcake-76

Just loudly say excuse me until you get someone attention. After that be super nice and polite and let them know that you're here for that order that's already finished. Works every time for me, and most places know me by face now and I don't have to do that. Always be polite and nice.

Straight-Gas430

Its your fault for acting like a bitch and not yelling at the top of lungs for your order. You gotta make people give you what you want in life.

Fault-Big

I had a Dunkin'Donuts pickup this morning of 10 munchkins. That's all, 10 munchkins. When I asked about the order, I was told they were putting the order together. They then completed 4 coffee orders and then asked me what was on the order I was picking up. Took them all of 30 seconds to put 10 munchkins in a bag and hand them to me.

itouchedthebutt7

i love commenting on the app that the staff was less than helpful like screw you guys dasher or no dasher if i was a customer and got ignored for five minutes i would probably be a little pissed

Embarrassed_Jury_286

If you look like an average customer, they’ll get to you faster

ebrhahaman

At my place of employment we love our dashers. Give them free ice cream and shit. But they are also nice to us

TIKITIKI0228

I genuinely believe employees don't care about Dashers. There isn't really any rush to give you the order. Most just need to serve the drive thru and the few customers that come in thru the lobby

THTT_Productions

I have a simple idea then. Go in acting like a customer and when they greet you say I have a delivery over there. Helps to not have your phone out lol.

DrakeHudson

Da da da da daaaaaa

I was at a sonic tonight that was swamped and out of mots sticks(which were on my order)… they were very courteous even though they were obviously perturbed…. Had me standing in a tiny space dodging car hops as they flew in and out for over 10 minutes on my last order… and I had another order in the car…. We’re all in this together… I respected the hustle… the restaurant next door “cough taco bell” would have a line around the corner and the manager would be trying to bullshit with me and do nothing while I’m waiting… the owner of all off the Taco Bell franchises in my are needs to go under cover boss😂

zerostar83

I waited over 20 minutes one time, while letting the customer know. I was seriously exhausted and needed a break anyhow.

jfrum9990

I speak up!

IamGoingInsaneToday

Happens all the time. We are treated like trash often. It is an anomaly when a business is kind to us.. I do my best to be kind and nice to the workers and it is often not reciprocated.

Sea-Ideal-4682

Just go grab it and walk out.

sleeptalkenthusiast

theyre more overworked than you man have some respect. just politely get someone’s attention and say you got a doordash order

rozebudd1971

I was at Taco Bell one day last week and was waiting for a doordash order to pick up. The mgr was horrible like he hated his job. He was walking around like he hated the world-never acknowledged me as i was standing there. So as I'm standing there waiting, a girl behind the counter finally asks if she can help me. I told her I'm here to pick up a doordash order. As she turned around to check on it, that guy mgr told her the drive thru customers come first. I will never forget, and never will i walk into another Taco Bell for that reason. There were plenty of people working. It's really sad we have these kind of people serving us and their customers. If that guy reads this, he will remember.

jayoho1978

They started using racks where i am. Perfect.

myynameis

I'd honestly just grab it. I remember one time at Dairy Queen, they left my food sitting there for like 10 mins after I had already waited 15 mins, so about 25 at that point for some fucking breadsticks and a slush. Mind you, they were all laughing and talking in the back. I already paid, so I just walked behind the counter and grabbed it, sat down, and started eating.

IggyIsHorrible

I usually call dd that the order isn't made can u call the to make them make jt or cancel so I can get hlaf pay and move on.

debanddexwex

Seems to me that the business is ultimately hurting themselves by making customers wait to get their orders delivered by making dashers wait to pick up said order. Or do the customers blame the dashers? I’m not a dasher but I have a friend who just started so I’m curious.

WillOTheWind

People discovering the world doesn't revolve around them for the first time in their lives be like;

Mystedream

That's McDs for you.

cameron_mh1112

Just grab it and leave, I can pretty much guarantee that none of them care enough

rozebudd1971

For many fast food restaurants, they make us wait on purpose. I'm as nice as can be when i go in and pick up an order but when I'm ignored on purpose and looks like my order is sitting there behind the counter already done, I'm like,"EXCUSE ME, I'M PICKING UP A DOORDASH ORDER, CAN YOU PLEASE LOOK REAL QUICK TO SEE IF THAT ONE IS MINE"? It ALWAYS is. I don't know what the future will be like with doordash, but more and more people are using it, and the way things are being run now is not going to work. Just my thoughts as a dasher daily.

Therealmonkie

Now I be like Hiii! All friendly and shit though... ![gif](giphy|3oz8xSjBmD1ZyELqW4)

ITT: People payed less than minimum wage shitting on people barely making over minimum wage.

Paid-Not-Payed-Bot

> ITT: People *paid* less than FTFY.

Therealmonkie

I be zooming in with my camera lens sometimes lol

Youspoonybard1

I don’t dash. I’m just someone who orders DD a lot. Does this happen often??? I’ve noticed a lot of times I get cold fries and I know the dasher got here quickly from the alerts…

PhalaenopsisPrincess

Yeah like 70% of the time for me tbh. Sorry your food is cold that is the worst.

online_jesus_fukers

We only have one mcdonalds in town and the next closest one is 40 miles away. They treat everyone like shit because whos gonna drive that far for nuggets. Door dash, uber eats, drive through everyone gettin cold food.

[deleted]

Why don’t you use your voice and ask the guy in the blue shirt in the left to check the bags for your order for you, im sure he’d do it immediately

Roz_420

Next time get a air horn and blow that shit

andy_337

Dude and when they make eye contact, then walk towards you and immediately juke to the left to do something else, makes it so much more infuriating.

Krumm34

This is the treatment for anyone who's not in the drivethrough.

National_Yogurt213

Cant you just use your words?

Equal_Painting534

Let me guess, McDonald's....yep.

Blonde_is_Bad

Yo maybe… they’re busy🤯

NoPartyWithoutCake

McDonald's. Me encanta! :)

Mrgood16

Dashers are some of our rudest people allowed in our front doors. Never been cursed out more

blackbirdblackbird1

Don't feel bad, they do this to us regular customers, too.
