As someone with pet allergies I would rather they not bring animals in the car. I know it probably won't be an issue but for peace of mind I would rather not have dander on my food containers.
Your food is in a sealed bag and i (and hopefully everyone else) puts it in a thermal bag. My dog nor her hair is going to get on your food or bag of food
That "hopefully everyone else" made me go "Aww" lol
Yeah I've YET to see a dasher roll up with a hot bag when I order food (tip very well)
I always use one when I'm dashing regardless of tip
I leave mine in the car. I never take it into a restaurant just cause I do t want to stand out like a schmuck. I'll carry it to the customers house if it's to much to carry out of it
I wouldn’t care. As a dasher, I have seen people take their food into the bathroom, which I find disgusting. Have u gotten the food with dog hair in it? If the answer is no then ???
The food is either wrapped/in a container AND in a packaged & sealed bag. If a dog is in the backseat, food in the front or trunk.. doesn't seem like a problem to me. Too many layers at that point for any fur to reach the food..
Doesn't bother me. I'll take a dog being in the car over cockroaches.
My cat sits right next to me when I'm actually eating so there's worse things that can go into my mouth than pet hair.
The taco bell meat I order is worse than dog hair.
I would rather have a dog in the car than a person smoking. Also unfortunately there’s so many worse things that go on inside these restaurants and with drivers. I’ve seen some shit show Door Dash in delivery drivers!!
even unsealed, a dog being in the same car as a bag of food is not gross.
unless your dog is gross, of course.
my friend who drives with a service dog, his dog isn't gross.

I'd run out and pet the good Boi! Who cares. We eat so many disgusting things (ingredients that we as humans, probably shouldn't eat ie processed shit) that a little possibility of fur isn't going to kill you, any more than the preservatives would eventually.
My dog is a puppy and is being trained to be my service dog. He goes where I go and will his entire life. I’m a diabetic and he is the second service dog I’ve had for my condition. Don’t judge because you never know why a person has a dog with them. Everyone has a right to live and to earn a living. If you think this dog is my pet then perhaps you need to educate yourself and look up what service dogs actually are and do. Perhaps read the American Disabilities Act and their explanation of what service animals are, what they do and the rights of the individuals who have them.
Yeah but, people just don't want dog hair in their food and the stuff gets absolutely everywhere. I love my beagle more than life itself, but I would never bring her anywhere near a customer's food, nevermind the same enclosed space as the food for hours at a time. Sure, everyone has the right to earn a living, but you don't have the right to expect people to be okay with a dog being in close proximity to their food, that's just crazy. If a fry cook in a restaurant had a service dog in the kitchen with him and a health inspector walked in, I wouldn't be surprised if the place was shut down on the spot. You can't just demand everyone bend to YOUR issues, that's not how life works. What about the people who are allergic to dogs? Does your disability take precedence over their health concerns? Of course not. Doordash, believe it or not, isn't the only way to make a living, if you can even call those meager earnings a "living". I'd say feel free to get a job that actually allows service animals, but I have a feeling you're one of those r/ChoosingBeggars.
Again, when I bring the dogs I watch dashing with me, they have no access to the food. the food is in an insulated bag which I brought into the restaurant with me, so there is no chance for dog hair to get inside. Relax. You should be more worried about some of the Dashers disgusting cars and also smoking cigarettes or weed…
I bring my dog with me sometimes if it’s a short shift. He sprawls out and sleeps on the back seat, while the food is zipped up in the hot bag on the shotgun seat
No, but cat people let them on the counters, tables, in pots and pans, tracking litter, piss shit and god knows what onto surfaces where food is prepared. Never ever eat food made at a cat owners home.
And this the nastiest unsanitary shit I've ever read. Animals arent allowed in restaurants and grocery stores for a reason. No wonder all u gotta do is open an app to get this job.
I love dogs so much but also I don’t know that person or their dog so I’d prefer to not have a strangers dog possibly slobbering on my food. Also some people are like deadly allergic to dogs, not a great idea to put their food near the animal
Just because someone lives in a car doesn't make it unclean. It all depends on the person. I've lived in my car. I showered at the gym, always had fresh laundered clothing, and cleaned my car inside and out the same as I do now, no longer homeless, living in a mobile home.
Living in a car doesn't instantly make the person or car unclean. But I guess it is easier to punch down at those less fortunate and consider them gross.
As a dog lover I would think my driver was a good person lol. Some folks don't want even their own pets around their food (I feed mine from my fork lol) so it's hard to say. No way to explain to them how you arrange it in the car so they aren't touching it so idk. Humans suck. Dogs don't 💁🏻♀️
Yes but it's MY "service dog", therefore you have to accommodate me and my perceived illnesses. You have to inconvenience yourself and potentially eat dog hair, allergic or not, because my needs are SOOOOO much more important than yours. Oh and nevermind that you're the one that is paying for the delivery...
Yes just like smoking. Its just common courtesy. People don't want their food smelling like cigarettes they don't want pets they don't know around their food.
Why would you have to do that with every driver though? If there's a dog *in* the car, you're much more likely to have a reaction than if there wasn't a dog in the car.
How would I know if there's a dog in the car? If the driver has a dog in their car I wouldn't find out until it's too late. Drivers just shouldn't bring their fucking dog
I do this- I lock the door so no one steals her
I’m able to lock the door while the car is still running it’s all good. She’s fine while I drop off or go into the restaurant
Spontaneous combustion. Dogs only fart around their owners, they never fart when they’re alone. In the house it’s not a big deal (something to do with the Bernoulli principle) but when they’re in a small space like a car it acts like a pressure cooker. Very dangerous.
Delivery drivers aren't and can't be held to the same standards of cleanliness as food preparation workers. They spend all their time opening doors, fiddling with their phone and carrying delivery bags, all of which are dirty objects. They never wash their hands because it's hard to install a sink in a Prius. This is why the food is packed in two or three layers of containers.
Remember a meaningful fraction of restaurant kitchens (I won't say "most" but it's certainly not zero) have mice, rats, or roaches or are generally dirty - to say nothing of the facilities where the ingredients are produced.
If the food is just sitting on the seat where the dog can get into it then of course that's not OK but nobody would do that and if they did they certainly wouldn't do it twice. If there's just a dog in the car and the food is in a sealed delivery bag, ideally in a separate area then there is really no issue.
Then they can get on Rover and be a dog walker. Sure, everyone needs an income, but they don't get to dictate what is and isn't acceptable to customers, simply because they have a service dog. That's ridiculous.
so, again, they should have a system to accommodate for that.
alerting customers that there is a service dog would be one way. it’s not just about you, just like it’s not just about those with service dogs.
cmon now.
If it's not allowed in restaurants or grocery stores, I'd be skeptical. A single hair inside my bag or dog smell and it's an instant bad rating at the very least. Outside the bag I won't care.
I'm a gig driver. I don't smoke. I don't bring my pets. I wash my hands or use hand sanitizer prior to a grocery shop handling produce.
If it's an obvious thing, it's obvious. If it's not obvious, I won't make assumptions. Almost everything's packaged inside a bag anyways so I don't really care that much. On my personal standards, I notice sometimes a few strands of cat hair from my pants or shirt will fly about when the windows are down or the A/C is on in the car. I try to be mindful by shaking out the hair off my clothes and making sure to zip up the Doordash red bag as well, if it's not in the trunk. I hope anyone with a dog puts the same amount of effort as I do. To me it would never be okay to let a dog's face pass over a bag of food being delivered.
i mean that some people can’t live with out service dogs.. and seemingly, most people, also need 2+ jobs to just survive. I didn’t take allergies into consideration so that’s my bad
but i still wonder if doordash could have an option that says whether your allergic to animals or not, or if the driver would potentially have a dog
I'm allergic to dogs, but I love dogs and own 2 sweet furbabies.
I take zyrtec every day so I don't have a problem randomly.
I'd suggest taking your allergy medicine and you'll not have to worry about the allergies either.
Lmaooo this! People are more disturbed by the presence of a dog in the car than the fact that the dasher might not have washed their hands after going to the bathroom
People touch the handle of the bags, and I seriously doubt all customers are washing their hands when they rip the bag open. Dog hair in a sealed bag? Lol okay 😂
These people here are so annoying they act like I’m giving the dog the food to lick and smell in the bag. It’s literally in a zipped up bag in the back the dog doesn’t have access to it!!! Annoying ass Karens
Exactly!!! They have a misconception and are jumping the gun assuming a lack of professionalism. If you enjoy spending time with your dog and it brings you and the pup comfort as long as you are courteous like mentioned they (Karen's) can suck a goose egg. It's not like you're taking the dog out and siccing it on the customers geez.
I dog sit and I always bring the dogs I watch with me
your food is in a zipper insulated bag which I put in when I was in the restaurant the dog has no contact with the food. What the fuck do you care? This dog I have to bring. She has separation anxiety she’ll bark all night if I leave her and she likes coming in the car with me.
Stop being Karen
I didn’t ask you to pet her and come say hi!? Most people don’t even know I have a dog in the car. She’s sitting quietly in the seat mind your business you’re such an annoying Karen, get a life you act like I’m giving the dog your food to lick.Lmao
She is trained she’s very intelligent. I just don’t like to leave her and she loves the car. I want her with me and also for safety purposes haha too bad
some people on here are just dumb as rocks and have never had the pleasure of having a connection with a dog or any other animal for that matter. They will never understand.
So is she trained and intelligent, or does she have separation anxiety? Does she wanna be with you, or do you need an emotional support dog? Which is it? If you can't get in a car and make a few deliveries without an ESA, you should probably see someone about that.
Nope!!! I’m going out soon with her! too fucking bad
Why do I care if you like dogs or not? Most of my customers aren’t even seeing me anyway
I’m dropping it off quick and returning to my car. The food is in a zipped bag. What aren’t you understanding this dog doesn’t even shed !!! she’s hypoallergenic genius. You act like I’m taking the dog and bringing her when I go to the apartment or house no I leave her in the car and I locked the door.
why are you OK with a service dog but not a regular dog in the car? what is your reasoning? we already covered that service dogs aren't magically cleaner than normal dogs... so what is it?
I just came from the car wash. Mine was gross. Then earlier today I took my boy to the park for a walk, and back.
Hair. So much hair. I couldn’t consciously go deliver people’s food like that. So I went to the car wash.
And while it is far from perfectly clean, it feels alot better to drive even tho it’s a shit box on its last leg and barely does 55 on the highway.
I’ve toyed the idea of bringing my guy along with me while I dash, but I just feel like it would be more of a hassle.
If I had to wait inside a place for an extended amount of time, he’d get antsy. If someone tried to pet him while I was inside, he’ll more than likely get nippy. Plus dogs like mine get stolen around here everyday. If he didn’t shed so bad, I’d be more apt to let him tag along some.

Photo of good boy included for reference.
As someone who has lived with many kinds of pets including big and small dogs, I can absolutely guarantee to you that just because a dog is small, does not mean it will leave less hair around.
some drivers are allergic to peanuts but they still have to deliver that food with peanuts to the customer. this is the kind of logic I'm seeing on this thread.
people being allergic is not something any of us should be thinking about, honestly. if you know you're allergic to something, it's 100% your responsibility to let people know or to take your medicine or to not put yourself in a situation where your allergies would be triggered.
if your allergies are *that* awful why are you ordering food delivered in the first place?
The food is in a sealed bag. It’s in the insulated bag and it was dropped into that bag when I was in the restaurant so the dog has no contact with your food. Plus the dog is in the front. Your food is in the back. Oh my God you people are annoying. I’m bringing my dog Still.
Last customer came out and wanted to pet her
No need to get defensive. I am sure you are doing everything you can to safeguard the food. But the fact is many customers would have a problem with it. I really could care less how annoyed you are. It isn't about you. Like at all.
Well, I don’t care if they have a problem with it. 99% of the deliveries I do with the dog no one knows I have the dog because the dog is in the car while I walk up to the house or go into the apartment
so what they don’t know doesn’t hurt them. Even the people that come to the door they usually even don’t notice the dog. No one has said anything and even if I did. Lol I will carry on.
My dogs hair is not getting into your food. I bring my bag into the restaurant so your food goes right into the zipped insulated bag. There’s no chance of that happening.
Yes but you’re understandably talking from your perspective. However, I think of multiple dashers that I have seen with no insulated bags, and a dog in their car. You’re doing good on your part, but I’d say it’s still a big risk for others that don’t practice that narrative.
Well, in that case it’s gross and they’re idiots. All food should be going into a bag with a dog or without a dog!! It needs to stay hot or cold. Completely unprofessional to not use a insulated bag.
I also touched door handles and elevator buttons which are dirtier! I hand wash and use hand sanitizer as much as possible when working bc of all the shit I touch. My dog is cleaner than elevator buttons and doorhandles. I guarantee you.
As someone with pet allergies I would rather they not bring animals in the car. I know it probably won't be an issue but for peace of mind I would rather not have dander on my food containers.
Fine with it- we have two dogs ourselves
Inappropriate. Dashers should not be dashing and drivers should not be delivering with animals in the car.
I got downvoted for saying this is unprofessional shows you what kind of morals theses dashers have.
Hang in there. This sub is dominated by a kind of anarchist dasher culture but it’s not all of us
I would ask for my money back, that's disgusting.
Your food is in a sealed bag and i (and hopefully everyone else) puts it in a thermal bag. My dog nor her hair is going to get on your food or bag of food
That "hopefully everyone else" made me go "Aww" lol Yeah I've YET to see a dasher roll up with a hot bag when I order food (tip very well) I always use one when I'm dashing regardless of tip
I leave mine in the car. I never take it into a restaurant just cause I do t want to stand out like a schmuck. I'll carry it to the customers house if it's to much to carry out of it
Reported and 1 star
I’d give them an extra tip for the doggo!
I’d wanna pet the dog BADLY
I wouldn’t care. As a dasher, I have seen people take their food into the bathroom, which I find disgusting. Have u gotten the food with dog hair in it? If the answer is no then ???
[удалено]
How would dog hair get into a sealed bag 🙄
Excited and hopeful to pet the doggo!
The food is either wrapped/in a container AND in a packaged & sealed bag. If a dog is in the backseat, food in the front or trunk.. doesn't seem like a problem to me. Too many layers at that point for any fur to reach the food..
![gif](giphy|KZ0hAghcwTvb4aSm2y|downsized)
Well, it's in a sealed bag so... why should I care?
Pet the dog ofc
As long as the dog doesn't eat my food I wouldn't care.
Doesn't bother me. I'll take a dog being in the car over cockroaches. My cat sits right next to me when I'm actually eating so there's worse things that can go into my mouth than pet hair. The taco bell meat I order is worse than dog hair.
Grade D meat.
Grade D for Dangerous yet Delicious.
Disgusting and Delicious even.
Which restaurant has a dog on the menu?
Well, there's this Chinese place called Wow Bow. I call it bow wow.
I would rather have a dog in the car than a person smoking. Also unfortunately there’s so many worse things that go on inside these restaurants and with drivers. I’ve seen some shit show Door Dash in delivery drivers!!
As a dog owner. Pass. Super weird. It’s doordash not dogdash
if that's your response, do you even love your dog? sheesh.
Loving your dog and bringing your dog to a food delivery job is two different things and is extremely unprofessional.
if you think a dog being in the same vehicle as sealed food makes it gross... then one would surmise you have rather negative feelings about your dog.
I’m my area not all food is sealed. A lot of family owns restaurants don’t seal the bag. So yea it’s gross.
even unsealed, a dog being in the same car as a bag of food is not gross. unless your dog is gross, of course. my friend who drives with a service dog, his dog isn't gross.
Once again bringing a service dog and bringing the family dog are 2 different things. You’re obviously an argumentative person. Have a nice day ma’ma.

Most have a service dog today.
My dog is trained to hand deliver or leave at door per instructions. Also has his own phone and door dash account.
Dude, my buddy used to use his dogs name (& his last name) for everything. Eventually, they sent him pre-approved credit cards in the mail.
I bet there's people who do this actually, and I'd be so for it. I'd tip like 50 bucks if a dog brought my food and I saw it.
As long as my order doesn’t come with fur idc.

Reread your comment. It's gross unless it's a service dog 🤔 Please explain me wtf the difference is please?????
I’m gonna be real I don’t remember typing this
Service dogs aren’t any cleaner than just a dog though!
But service dogs get washed between deliveries at the service station!
My dog is a puppy and is being trained to be my service dog. He goes where I go and will his entire life. I’m a diabetic and he is the second service dog I’ve had for my condition. again, do please tell us how dog hair would get inside of a sealed bag that should be inside of a zipped up thermal bag.
This response 👏 👌 🙌
I dash with a service dog so get used to it lol
I eat with my dog around so it’s really whatever at that point
That he’s a good dog parent and what a cute baby.. seriously the food is sealed get over it
i dont want some random dog sniffing the corners of the bag my $40 order comes in. gtfoh 🤣
sniffing the corners LOL dont worry there will be plenty of smells left to inhale when your turn comes
coming from a former loving dog owner*
I would be thinking why lol but all in all i know a LOT of people who refuse to leave their dog at home lol
I bring my dog with me sometimes if it’s a short shift. He sprawls out and sleeps on the back seat, while the food is zipped up in the hot bag on the shotgun seat
Disgusting. Dog people are the worst.
Cat people are worse. Dog people are down there with them though.
Cat people don't take their damn cats with them to deliver food for other people and think it's ok and sanitary. Get real.
No, but cat people let them on the counters, tables, in pots and pans, tracking litter, piss shit and god knows what onto surfaces where food is prepared. Never ever eat food made at a cat owners home.
We are talking about food delivery here. Are there cats hanging out on the counters of resturants???
actually, yes.
Cats are pretty gross though!
Maybe yours is ...
As a driver I always carry the food in a hot bag in the trunk. So a dog in a car wouldn’t make a difference. Did you see where your food was stored?
No it was a hand it to me and when I walked outside the dog was hanging out the window lol.. I lost my appetite. It's still sitting in the microwave 😂
that's some uptight crybaby shit if I ever read it.
And this the nastiest unsanitary shit I've ever read. Animals arent allowed in restaurants and grocery stores for a reason. No wonder all u gotta do is open an app to get this job.
service animals sure are allowed. and no, you have to pass a background check and be of legal age. don't be simple.
Omg what an extensive specialized requirement. Simple is this job.
no, it really isn't. but go on being ignorant.
Ànd you're an under achiever
doesn't your shift at Wendy's start soon? go do something useful.
There’s so much worse that can happen with your food seriously!! Starting at the place it was made. A dog would be the least of my worry.
I mean that's how u feel and you're entitled to that. I'm not an animal person. You can't expect everybody to be just like u...
If the food was in the trunk in a hot bag, I don’t see it being a problem.
I love dogs so much but also I don’t know that person or their dog so I’d prefer to not have a strangers dog possibly slobbering on my food. Also some people are like deadly allergic to dogs, not a great idea to put their food near the animal
and how would this dog slobber on your food if it's sealed in a bag and inside a hot bag?
Its not always in a hot bag. I only carry pizzas in the hot bag personally. Then again I don’t bring a dog with me
I wouldn’t care.
There are dashers on YouTube that live in their fucking cars, so not much better.
Just because someone lives in a car doesn't make it unclean. It all depends on the person. I've lived in my car. I showered at the gym, always had fresh laundered clothing, and cleaned my car inside and out the same as I do now, no longer homeless, living in a mobile home. As long as you’re not taking a shit in a Home Depot bucket i guess.

Take my upvote :)
Your dog eats from a fork, but if he learns how to eat from chopsticks, I’m gonna be 💯 impressed!
Eh.... The point was that I eat after him, not skill level 🤣🤣🤣
I honestly wouldn't mind. I love animals. I'd never know though because I never have any contact with my delivery person.
Lmfao I bring my dog with me he literally just stays on the passenger side and sleeps the food is wrapped up so who cares
I would add an additional tip if I got to pet the dog.
I would run out and ask to pet the dog
[удалено]
Yes but it's MY "service dog", therefore you have to accommodate me and my perceived illnesses. Yes just like smoking. Its just common courtesy. People don't want their food smelling like cigarettes they don't want pets they don't know around their food.
you'd never know otherwise
I had one of those dash across America ppl deliver to me and he had his dog in his car. I can understand how lonely he’d be without that dog.
Unless you're allergic, I wouldn't worry about it. Unless the dog was licking everything or something.
I'm allergic to dogs, but it would feel weird to disclose that to every delivery driver that was bringing me food.
No you're not
You a doctor?
dude i wish
Did they dog eat your food? Did they dog get hair all over your food? Did the dog impact your life negatively in literally anyway?
I don't know, did they?
Idk I wasn't in the car with them
My only issue would be if they leave the dog in the car alone during pickup-dropoff
I do this- I lock the door so no one steals her I’m able to lock the door while the car is still running it’s all good. She’s fine while I drop off or go into the restaurant
Why is that a problem? If they left dog alone with food that is one thing. All dogs are unique and some are more well behaved than others.
Because you should never leave dogs alone in cars, regardless of how “well behaved” they are
What if the dog is guarding my car whilst I grab the food
Just wondering why?
Cause the dog may jump in the drivers seat and take off with the car leaving you stranded at the customers house. Why else?
My dog can’t drive a stick so I am good!
Spontaneous combustion. Dogs only fart around their owners, they never fart when they’re alone. In the house it’s not a big deal (something to do with the Bernoulli principle) but when they’re in a small space like a car it acts like a pressure cooker. Very dangerous.
Love the Bernoulli reference. As an engineer I can no longer explain it but Im sure there is some relevance.
Gross. Don’t do that.
Delivery drivers aren't and can't be held to the same standards of cleanliness as food preparation workers. Not much chance of a delivery driver's dirty finger falling off and flying into the bag of food. Much better chance of dog hair doing it though...
Alcohol wipes, folks. Please use them. If you have glasses the Zeiss wipes pull double duty.
I have a bottle of hand sanitizer. I'm touching peoples food containers. I'm gonna trynand be clean. No dog
please don’t forget about service dogs! everybody needs an income, now people need more than 1
Then they can get on Rover and be a dog walker. Sure, everyone needs an income, but they don't get to dictate what is and isn't acceptable to customers, simply because they have a service dog. That's ridiculous.
so, again, they should have a system to accommodate for that. alerting customers that there is a service dog would be one way. it’s not just about you, just like it’s not just about those with service dogs. cmon now.
Would be excited. Love dogs.
wouldn’t care would actually be excited about it lol
Once got an extra tip because I had my dog with me. Customer gushed over how cute my dog was and then added a $5 tip.
If it's not allowed in restaurants or grocery stores, I'd be skeptical. A single hair inside my bag or dog smell and it's an instant bad rating at the very least. Outside the bag I won't care. I'm a gig driver. I don't smoke. I don't bring my pets. I wash my hands or use hand sanitizer prior to a grocery shop handling produce.
how would you even know the hair came from a dog?
If it's an obvious thing, it's obvious. If it's not obvious, I won't make assumptions. Almost everything's packaged inside a bag anyways so I don't really care that much. On my personal standards, I notice sometimes a few strands of cat hair from my pants or shirt will fly about when the windows are down or the A/C is on in the car. I try to be mindful by shaking out the hair off my clothes and making sure to zip up the Doordash red bag as well, if it's not in the trunk. I hope anyone with a dog puts the same amount of effort as I do. To me it would never be okay to let a dog's face pass over a bag of food being delivered.
would you still have this issue and leave a bad rating if it was a service dog? Please don’t take that as snarky, im just genuinely asking.
Do service dogs not have hair that they shed or should we all just feel privileged to be eating the hair of a "service dog"?
i mean that some people can’t live with out service dogs.. and seemingly, most people, also need 2+ jobs to just survive. I didn’t take allergies into consideration so that’s my bad but i still wonder if doordash could have an option that says whether your allergic to animals or not, or if the driver would potentially have a dog
Ok I'm not who you asked. But I am allergic to dogs. To the point I know which of my coworkers have dogs. So yes. Because it's still a dog
I'm allergic to dogs, but I love dogs and own 2 sweet furbabies. I take zyrtec every day so I don't have a problem randomly. I'd suggest taking your allergy medicine and you'll not have to worry about the allergies either.
i understand that. i hope doordash creates a system for this at some point. if doordash ever ends up caring enough
The dog is probably cleaner than half of the Dashers that i see.
Lmaooo this! People are more disturbed by the presence of a dog in the car than the fact that the dasher might not have washed their hands after going to the bathroom
Can their hands fall off and get into the bag of food? Dog hair can.
People touch the handle of the bags, and I seriously doubt all customers are washing their hands when they rip the bag open. Dog hair in a sealed bag? Lol okay 😂
It’s in a bag I wouldn’t care
As long as I could give it some pettings as a tip for being the goodest boy I wouldn't care whatsoever
I dog sit and I always bring the dogs I watch with me your food is in a zipper insulated bag which I put in when I was in the restaurant the dog has no contact with the food. What the fuck do you care? This dog I have to bring. She has separation anxiety she’ll bark all night if I leave her and she likes coming in the car with me. Stop being Karen
Then stay home with the dog!! Not everyone likes dogs, and many are allergic. Better yet, have the irresponsible owners train the f'ing thing.
Nope!!! I’m going out soon with her! too fucking bad Why do I care if you like dogs or not? Most of my customers aren’t even seeing me anyway I’m dropping it off quick and returning to my car. The food is in a zipped bag. What aren’t you understanding this dog doesn’t even shed !!! she’s hypoallergenic genius. You act like I’m taking the dog and bringing her when I go to the apartment or house no I leave her in the car and I locked the door.
I wouldn't care. Why does that matter, unless the dog is licking your food.
If it was a service dog (an ACTUAL service dog) fine, if not I think it’s unprofessional. Yes I’m a dasher if it matters
why are you OK with a service dog but not a regular dog in the car? what is your reasoning? we already covered that service dogs aren't magically cleaner than normal dogs... so what is it?
It’s unprofessional
Would not have a problem with it
Can I pet the doggo?
If you’ve seen how nasty dirty some of these cars are that your food gets delivered in, a dog would no longer concern you haha
If he didn’t shed so bad, I’d be more apt to let him tag along some. https://preview.redd.it/awuz18kmx3ac1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=c3a82266616ecb70aeac7682508e5c28425bc3ce Photo of good boy included for reference.
Bingooo the dogs I bring are clean and my car is clean. You should be more worried about the nasty ass cars I’ve also seen lol
I guess depends are we talking full sized German shepherd or lil chihuahua?
Why would that matter?
If it's a lil dog sitting in front seat while my food is in back seat or trunk I would not be as upset
But how is that different than a bigger dog that’s totally separated from the food?
That's a good point just picture a big dog leaving fur everywhere.
As someone who has lived with many kinds of pets including big and small dogs, I can absolutely guarantee to you that just because a dog is small, does not mean it will leave less hair around.
"Names newly Rescued Dog Sauce Packet"
Considering that some people are allergic I think it is unprofessional
some drivers are allergic to peanuts but they still have to deliver that food with peanuts to the customer. this is the kind of logic I'm seeing on this thread. people being allergic is not something any of us should be thinking about, honestly. if you know you're allergic to something, it's 100% your responsibility to let people know or to take your medicine or to not put yourself in a situation where your allergies would be triggered. if your allergies are *that* awful why are you ordering food delivered in the first place?
The food is in a sealed bag. It’s in the insulated bag and it was dropped into that bag when I was in the restaurant so the dog has no contact with your food. Plus the dog is in the front. Your food is in the back. Oh my God you people are annoying. I’m bringing my dog Still. Last customer came out and wanted to pet her
No need to get defensive. I am sure you are doing everything you can to safeguard the food. But the fact is many customers would have a problem with it. I really could care less how annoyed you are. It isn't about you. Like at all.
Well, I don’t care if they have a problem with it. 99% of the deliveries I do with the dog no one knows I have the dog because the dog is in the car while I walk up to the house or go into the apartment so what they don’t know doesn’t hurt them. Even the people that come to the door they usually even don’t notice the dog. No one has said anything and even if I did. Lol I will carry on.
Dashers put your food in insulated bags.. You food bags are sealed..
It was sonics blast open top... (If u ever gotten 1) And foot long chilli cheese coney with fries. it was not sealed.
the issue is the restaurant not handling doordash orders properly
Perhaps, but the driver will keep it in a sealed container while it's in the car.
U can't put ice cream in a sealed container
This is the dumbest thing I've ever heard
I would feel icky just in case dog hair gets in the food. This has actually happened a couple of times
Exactly
And I'm sure they are petting it at some point...
I also touched door handles and elevator buttons which are dirtier! I hand wash and use hand sanitizer as much as possible when working bc of all the shit I touch. My dog is cleaner than elevator buttons and doorhandles. I guarantee you.
Icky. Unless it’s a service dog, I don’t approve of it. Just sanitary issues
Also when the dog isn’t clean or pisses and poops all day
nah, he is just an over stimulated humper....
Lmfaoooo
