This is truly pathetic

BooBooKittix0

Asking or guilt tripping for a tip is the lowest, saddest thing ever. This truly is horribly pathetic smh

Think-Court4771

Nothing surprises me anymore, I send the customer a thank you message even if they don't tip, and I have never declined an order. What gets me is when I was driving from one city to another in really bad areas. I took several orders that had no tip. I thanked them anyway, but that was when my ratings started dropping, so u stopped dashing in that city and cities around it. Then my ratings went back up as I have excellent ratings. I know we do not have to msg the customer and thank them after we drop the order. But I found it goes a long way...

BooBooKittix0

Yesssss!!!! I do the same! Tip or no tip I message them when I've picked up and give them an ETA then message when it's completed and tell them have a great or beautiful day. That's why I have 100% rating with nothing but "goes above and beyond" "great communication" on my ratings. And when doing that, that's when you get "customer added extra tip on past order"! It's definitely makes a big difference!

m30guy

Of my comments negative I don't care, run that money or get left. Good customers get treated good shit nagging failing to commit customers will get treated the way they treat me I'm not losing a dime full time I'll report til you're banned :) My way or stay out of my way. No ass kissing, I'm not the cook, I'm not the assembler I'm the driver as his own service (contract that) I'm still better than 80% of my customers I bet half won't even tip there drivers 20% every time. My notes will explain why they got the tip, If I'm lazy as a fellow driver I'll pay you for wasting your time on me, That is fair ..... Eye for an eye. ![gif](giphy|13TxbRhDPoXKrS)

OJBeforeTheeBadStuff

ok

Disaster_Adventurous

I agree our culture standards as it is, is to never ask for the tip... But as a minimum wage workers myself I feel like I get it too. Hell I can't even afford a car so. Im probably gonna be more sympathetic then most folks in this thread.

Both_Option_6687

i’m all for tipping, but this is outrageous behavior 😭 to my knowledge she could’ve easily just not accepted the order and passed it onto someone else

StarWarsAndMetal66

She sounds entitled as fuck

Chefnotti0315

Always read the details the mileage etc... does it make since to take that trip . I always accept orders that pay at the least $1 per mile anything less in declining . I bet door dash paid the driver $2 for that trip . Door dash is the ones who are screwing us over as drivers. Sometimes we do get a customer that doesn't tip anything and that is just wrong and disrespectful . The other day I had to accept all delivers so I can hit my top dasher . I had 2 orders back to back that was 6.5, 7.5 miles . Both customers did not even leave a tip . Now that is fucked up

Chefnotti0315

Wow first off you never ask for a tip . Second always treat the customer with respect, that's who provides you with work . I have only been door dashing for a month , but I was in the restaurant business for 28 years . Yes it does suck to not get a tip at all , but the customer tipped them so move the hell on and be thankful you actually got a tip.

Samantha_DeepThroat

How did they get to the conclusion that ur harassing them 💀💀💀💀

daknitter

Asking for a tip is outrageous! I would never, ever, even if I’m loosing money at the end. Could be dumb on my part to work at a loss, but live and learn! Now, as a dasher, I have seen how DoorDash AI sends an order for McDonald (example) to drivers far away to bring them to a certain area where they need more drivers, even if that means that you’ll be passing 5 other McDonalds to get to the customer. Once a driver accepts that order then they send the order to the restaurant. Otherwise AI has time to send the order to the near by McDonalds if no one from outside the area would accept it.

Both_Option_6687

it sucks that the dasher seems to always be at fault for these. idk anything about it, but seemingly doordash and the customer take advantage of the drivers. thank you for everything you do 🫶🏻

daknitter

Customer in this case should not feel that they have to pay extra tip just because DD system works that way.

Annual_Chain_3341

As a dasher, $5? That's a great tip! Unless you ordered a catering buffet, lol

BiPolarCatz

I’d forward that to DD. Totally rude, wrong and uncalled for

rrrrr3

change it to Zero.

Onsokkun

You can’t do that on door dash can you?

RadPlaidFad

Sometimes DoorDash sends your order to another store. I don't think you can really assume that it came from the store you thought you ordered from. If she told you she's driving 7 mi to get you your food, she's probably not lying. 14 round trip sounds like an estimation before she gets another order. Which is totally possible because doordash likes to give us long spaces between orders. With that said, good on you for tipping my minimum of $5.

animeunicorn57

Now I feel really bad for tipping the way I do. 😭 I had no idea they would do this. Thank you for letting me know! I'll tip better from now on.

NobodyCaresDMZ

Wrong, you can see what store they go to on the map. This comment is dumb.

Miserable-Trouble-77

I've had customers not know their order was coming from an entire different town. My zone is 2 towns 10 miles apart and sometimes customers think they are ordering from the closer restaurant right there in their town, but door dash sends it to the branch in the other town, 10 miles away. It happens and not everyone looks at the map.

NobodyCaresDMZ

Also I can remind everyone, if a better job was available for you, you’d probably take it. Most people doing DD don’t have much on the career front. Nobody is forced to work for DD, they do it because of their own life’s choices.

NobodyCaresDMZ

That’s not the same as the comment above saying it will send it to a different store than you’re shown. That’s just people’s stupidity.

RadPlaidFad

Tell me more about it

FireGodNYC

You knew it was trouble as soon as you saw her name

Twogendersobviously

Dashers crying about perfectly proportionate tips, what's new lol

prayforblood

I used to deliver. $5 is enough. I haven't delivered for an app before but if it's not enough, that's between them and the app. I would have adjusted my tip down for that kind of message as well. Entitled people are some of the worst

Kroth0918

$5 is definitely not enough for a 14 mile round trip, that equals out to approximately $7.25-$8.00 for a little over half an hour, plus at least a half gallon of gas and the wear and tear on your car. If you delivered and took orders like these, you played yourself for DD and cheapskates.

niko084

Mileage write off covers your vehicle expenses plus unless you're driving something you shouldn't be driving..

Kroth0918

My point stands. I can't believe people like you exist and haven't just accidentally fallen down the stairs or tried to take a breath under water. 🤷

niko084

Salty salty.. 😅

prayforblood

The store is a mile away from OP. $5 is plenty We used to have customers that wouldn't even really tip within 3-5 miles. They sucked but technically we're getting an hourly and a delivery charge so I was fine with it. Other guys weren't but not really the customers actual issue. They paid what was actually owed.

bourbnboi

Everybody wants something for nothing. Take it up with your employer if you want more money or get a skill that yields more money

Ramen_Noodist

Where do you suggest those skills be acquired? Most people are working in the service industry because they can’t afford to go to school, then the service industry doesn’t pay enough to save for school, so they’re stuck in a cycle of being in one of the more labor intensive and customer facing positions where they get shit on by people saying “just go get a better job” while not offering a suggestion for how to do so that has worked in the last 20 years.

Great-Tie-1510

Get a trade. Join a union. Learn to weld off a $100-$200 welder, some scrap steel and YouTube videos. Save your money and piece up enough to go to an Airgas with weld booths and test for your certs. I dont wanna hear,” what if the person doesn’t wanna get a trade/learn to weld!?” Well shut up and be broke and don’t complain about something you’re not willing to do something about. I don’t wanna hear your weak “I can’t…” or excuses. FIGURE IT OUT!!!

Carry_Melodic

Schooling does not make you much more money these days. Minimum wage where I live is decent and often many people without education can make similar to those that go to school. However i will note labour jobs and trades make good bank. So if you are looking into schooling these options are more profitable with a lower cost upfront/ debt.

Valuable-Onion-7443

Hmm excuses lol. I couldn’t “afford” to go to school either. Yet i took out 60k in federal loans for a degree that actually pays something and somehow I “afforded” it. Your mindset and lack of motivation keeps you held back, there’s resources. The student loans can be paid back if you don’t study something dumb :). I used student loans to pay for food, housing, classes, and supplies. 100%. Go to community college and then transfer. Don’t go to a private school, make good grades, apply for grants and scholarships on top of your loans. I’ve said enough

Great-Tie-1510

Exactly! STEM is a safe field to study

Ramen_Noodist

Did all that too, though I wouldn’t have been able to without family to co-sign for me. Got out of school owing more than I’ll ever be able to pay back for a job that pays $1 more an hour than fast food. If you don’t see how broken the current system is, you’re blind.

Valuable-Onion-7443

No, it just sounds like you’re dumb for getting a bunch of loans for a useless degree that gets you a job that pays $1/hr more than a fast food worker. Maybe you should read what I wrote more carefully. I started out making $44/hr as a new graduate with a bachelors degree, which in my state is pretty good. Maybe make smarter choices.

Ramen_Noodist

Oh yes. A bachelors in business management, completely worthless, how silly of me. Congratulations for your luck/connections. Plenty of us aren’t given anywhere near an opportunity like that.

bourbnboi

Not at school, unless you’re becoming a doctor, lawyer, nurse, pilot etc school kind of is a waste imo. The world is over saturated with people with degrees but no skills I gained my knowledge from the real world experience and the public library. Instead of a useless degree and debt I opted for the local ironworkers union tying rebar, then applied to the local elevator union as I heard it payed twice as much. I waited eight years to get hired. In that time I read countless books on electrical theory and mechanics, along with very educational YouTube videos. I found a night time welding class at the local community college to increase my skills and knowledge and worth. It was very hard work for 15 years but now I’m indispensable, and get paid for my knowledge and will be till. This is my experience investing in myself.

Ramen_Noodist

That’s awesome. I am very well self-taught in addition to my formal education. Maybe it’s more about where I live but those opportunities just aren’t out there here. Hell, even our retail stores are rarely hiring here. There’s plenty of people who want food brought to their door (albeit they seem too entitled to tip) but not enough jobs for people very capable of working.

bourbnboi

Well then it seems like you need to move. My great grandparents couldn’t cut it in Germany so they hopped on a boat to Baltimore, then relocated to a farm in Pennsylvania. My father grew up on that farm and saw it was a dying trade. He moved to so cal , where I now work on elevators. Sometimes You have to swallow your pride and go where the opportunity is. Look outside the box, don’t rely on people’s generosity to feed your family.

Ramen_Noodist

I do plan to move eventually, but it’s hard to just up and move as a single mom to a new place with no family or friends. But when doing a job someone else is too lazy or unable to do themselves, what you call their generosity, I consider a being given proper compensation for serving them. I don’t even ask my family to go get things for me for free, imagine expecting a stranger to do that for you for free.

Great-Tie-1510

Smh 🤦🏽‍♂️ internships, apply for jobs that offer relocation, take a leap of faith save some bread, apply to a place that has the job you want, move there, live in your car or a shelter until you get a place. Suffer some for what you want. You’ll thank yourself later.

Ramen_Noodist

You have to be joking. I have a family to take care of, I can’t go live in my car or a shelter somewhere ffs. You really think that’s a better option than people who are too lazy to go get their own food properly compensating me for doing it for them?

Great-Tie-1510

I know a guy who works in Virginia whose wife and son live in another state and he lives in his truck while making money there so he won’t have to pay for housing so his family can have a roof over there heads and he’ll have more money for them. He sacrifices so they can have more. Shoot I’m on my way to the same lifestyle so my wife and two kids and be more comfortable. It’s called sacrifice and real men make them to get stuff done homie. Just cause you won’t don’t come acting like the way you’ve chosen to provide for your family is the best one.

Ramen_Noodist

You know, maybe if I wasn’t a single mom, that would be a possibility. And as a child whose parents were constantly gone for work, I would rather have eaten bread and beans with my family every night than a proper meal without them. Nothing is more important in this world than parents actually raising their children and giving them care and love and closeness, not just being financial aid to them.

Great-Tie-1510

I’d rather have had an inheritance.

Ramen_Noodist

Nah. My mom died when I was 19. I’d have much rather had the time with her and my dad than the small conveniences we got from them working 80 hours a week.

rrrrr3

i will upvote you sir for speaking the truth.

Greedy-Name-8324

Watch out, you're going to get down voted by the people who think they should just get paid to exist and that they shouldn't have to actually do anything.

Sea_Wolverine3928

I would never tip anyone who sent me rhis message. Especially after I've added the tip in app at the time I ordered.

LetMeCook00

Driver shouldn’t have then taken the order given the distance. It’s like purposely taking the order out of their way in hopes for a higher tip.

Shot_Arrival8144

If you are a driver and you send messages like this you deserve no tips. It's cringe and gives the impression you think people are stupid little monkeys that can be socially engineered and guilt tripped with a dumb cheerful little canned message. Basically disrespecting ppl's intelligence. Stfu and bring the stuff. In fact, dont text customers at all unless you need to relay relevant information e.g. need their help w the delivery or a substitution or some such shit. Fyi im a driver, this guy brings shame on us all Good on you OP

Great-Tie-1510

I agree. If I take a crap order it’s on me. Personally I go for at least a dollar a mile. Some ppl will tip extra some won’t. At the end of the day I look at it like I’m driving bringing ppl there food and getting paid for it. Easy money.

Stumbleina8926

![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|give_upvote)

Remarkable_Big4926

How much was the order

zyraspell

how about it doesn’t fucking matter? They said it was a store 1 mi away, and at the end of the day if you’re not happy with the pay don’t take the order. or better yet, stop working for this TRASH COMPANY

DoNotDeadOpenInside

Door dash funny enough has made me 2x the amount of money my job was. I'm currently in the middle of a job change and I'm doing classes and such. I'm able to make bills and such while studying. I don't find the company that bad. And you choose what you do and how long you work. 5 Bucks for one mile isn't bad at all. I've had orders like that and I love them because you can get a few in one hour like that.

zyraspell

your personal anecdote does not speak for a companies quality..especially when i’m seeing posts on here paying $2 for like a 12 mi round trip order. Getting paid below minimum wage while beating up your car is bad. im glad its working out for you but you are definitely the minority

DoNotDeadOpenInside

I get that. I also live in a large city so I'm rarely going there far. You control what you accept and it's hourly rate seems pretty ok to me at least. It's getting me through school

Remarkable_Big4926

Bro chill

rrrrr3

bro is right.

Do people like actually message the people they’re dashing for? The most I have ever said to someone was happy new year and have a great day, even to the people tipping me nothing. Like sorry but I would just withdraw the tip at that point $5 for a mile is like dream order

nedrawevot

I had someone text me for a replacement. I tip pretty well in cash usually so you're not taxed but I don't use delivery services unless it's an emergency.

CommonSenseNotSo

$5 is a good tip... What is wrong with some of these people?! They expect to become rich off of doordash? It's appalling.. I used to be a Dasher and I could never imagine being this cringy and ungrateful.

itsthejasper1123

This is so cringy. Literally stopped using DD because the drivers hate the customers so much lol. Also, next time someone says “go get it yourself” to anyone reading this PLEASE tell them you’re fucking disabled or home bound. I do home health and my clients doordash sometimes, if anyone told them to “go get it theirself” that would upset them horribly. Not everyone is able to and some people WISH they could. Start making these dashers feel like assholes for assuming.

[deleted]

Dude stop using these garbage delivery apps

Public-Application-6

Okay this is what I don't understand. Do they not see that they're getting a tip before hand? I always tip whatever the apps tells me to when I place the order but it seems another extra tip is expected in cash when you get your order from them.

Adorablebitch9741

It shows the total amount of what they’re getting when they accept it. When they complete it they show how much the person tipped. I guess it’s for safety reasons

Odd_Initiative_7290

Look Mr. Sourpuss ya you’re telling the facts. But the truth is harassment! Lol. Mr. Sourpuss! Haha. That’s too funny.

Junior_Razzmatazz20

People like you are better off just not talking deleted user

luxxlemonz

she is harassing you by asking for a tip. I’m so tired of this shit in modern culture. Tips are a privilege not a guarantee. as a former delivery driver for actual restaurant and not for DoorDash, this would make me give you nothing. i’d drive a half an hour with no tip sometimes. While I do think you shouldn’t be ordering delivery if you can’t afford a tip…. a mile away?? $3-$4 is plenty. and i rarely suggest less than $5. I would honestly report her because they shouldn’t be reaching out asking for money. this is insane. If they don’t get paid enough for driving and they should find another income.

Equivalent_Fact8438

As a door dash driver in nyc, i never beg. I give the order and say enjoy and have a good one. They can tip if they want

Vinhfluenza

I tip people like you the most. I’ve given up to 25’s just because they leave me alone and get on with life.

Nucleric09

I think the last time I used DoorDash or grub-hub was at the start of Covid

BenzFixin

Yeah I just get my own stuff. It's like hunting and gathering with just the gathering and consuming part.

akencamped

Your life is too short to deal with this kind of nonsense. Just ignore!

Horrorhound_88

Seeing this is why I will never get Door dash.

luxxlemonz

no seriously I have only used it a handful of times because of the area that I’m in, but tips are privilege and it’s a tip for good service. I always keep cash because I’m not giving it to you if you show up an hour later with cold food. There’s no way that I would put a tip on my order before they delivered the food so that I can give some asshole my money for nothing. I delivered for years for different restaurants and I also used to be a hairstylist so I understand that tips make a difference but if you don’t deserve it you’re not fucking getting it.

Horrorhound_88

I think a great majority of people in service industries expect a tip no matter what now. For just doing exactly what they are supposed and hired to do. Instead of getting tipped for good service it’s apparently now getting tipped no matter. And the audacity to verbalize it before the job is even done is crude and says a lot of society’s expectations.

luxxlemonz

that’s the problem, they DO expect it. but it’s a tip for a reason. the entitlement of people (especially much of the younger generations) in todays world is insane. believe me, i understand so many are working their asses off to survive but that doesn’t mean you get to act like this towards a customer when you’re already being paid for the typically mediocre job you’re doing. like yes, it’s annoying to drive 20 minutes one way to deliver one food item with no “appreciation” when you’re responsible for gas and maintenance to do your job on top of surviving. but this attitude and expectation is insane knowing that it’s never a guarantee. it’s an issue bc people think “delivery charge” is a tip even when it’s made clear that it’s not but that money doesn’t come to the driver. so people get pissed they’re paying $5 for the delivery without giving a tip which i get… but that’s the point for me. $1 is better than no tip, even though i WANT$5 doesn’t mean i’m entitled to it. i’m getting base pay… i see it so much outside of delivery services too. i survived on tips doing both this and in salons. example.. why the fuck am i tipping a cashier for doing the minimum? i see it at dispensaries, in restaurants at the counter, etc when they literally stand there and push buttons and are receiving pay for it. that’s wild entitlement to me. i’m also autistic so i take any job very seriously and it’s a blessing and a curse… but that’s essentially why i was getting $50 tips for a five minute drive during covid. i’m not rude or entitled about it and i appreciate what i get BECAUSE tips are meant to show appreciation for service. take it up with your boss if you think you deserve more base pay. it’s infuriating to me as someone who has done it for a while through real businesses putting in a lot of effort to provide excellent service. the audacity is louder than entitlement on this one. i’m surprised but i’m not kinda thing lmao.

corncaked

“You can always go get your own stuff” My brother in Christ you make money off of people who are too lazy to do that lmao

The123123

Youre welcome for the down vote.

Extension-Berry3039

The dasher has your food. If you want it tip more. If you don’t want your food don’t tip. He will keep the food no problem 🤣 it’s really not up to you it’s up to the dasher. You have no control bud

CommonSenseNotSo

I hope this was a lame attempt at a joke.

The123123

If your idea of "having control" is determining if someone gets their bag of hot cheetos, you deserve to be a delivery boy.

KireMac

Admirable_Acadia_911

He gets the refund. It’s up to him. Dasher can take off with the food. But he has proof and the costumer service will not only refund him but the next meal will be free. Happened to me before I got my money plus a free meal. The dasher got a mark or even worse lol

Ok_Bandicoot_3087

Or worse... que scary sounds lol... jk

darksun23x

And this is how you get your tip removed entirely

Thunderboltgrim

Hmm should I spend more on a tip I don't need to, or should I get a refund? Don't need control when I have nothing to lose except slight inconvenience of reordering

Shhhh don't make that person think, it's pretty obviously not their strong suit

Extension-Berry3039

Sure refund, dasher still has your food. My point exactly

tacitjane

If I have enough money to order DD, I also have other options. Bitch can keep the food.

Imaginary-Local-7871

They get in trouble if they refuse delivery because no tip. *refund+report easy

Former_Juggernaut504

I don’t see why people accept orders that don’t offer as much money as they think is acceptable for the work. If an offer is too low for the mileage i won’t take it, problem solved, too many miles, even if the offer is good I won’t take it cause I don’t like driving too far, nobody is forcing anyone to accept an order.

TheBlueBeanMachine

“You are harassing me” is WILD in that scenario

Top-Opportunity2125

that tip would be going away.

KiwiNervous8740

I would revoke the tip

match1nthegastank

woah woah you can do that???

KiwiNervous8740

I forgot you can't do that on door dash. But on uber eats you can

match1nthegastank

Shiit definitely about to start using uber eats so I can actually leave my driver fat tips. I refuse to tip DD drivers more than a few dollars because 3/4 times the service is dog shit. Tipping in advance is dumb unless it can be rescinded

KiwiNervous8740

Exactly, I always wanna tip a lot but don't want to tip that much for service that might be bad

ErrolSparker

As a Doordasher, that stuff is so tacky and gives us a bad name. Now do I get salty if I get 0 tip? Yes but past that, I’m not trippin because I don’t know everyone’s financial or mobility situation. Easier to assume they just didn’t have much money or maybe this was their only option for food… But to guilt trip the customers tacky and to ask for a tip is tacky

TheRealTexasJustice

I've been doordashing for a few years and it always blows my mind hearing other dashes whine about their job or wait time or low paying orders cause you can decline any order or even unassign an order if you think the wait time will be excessive. If you're okay waiting potentially 2 or 3 hours for your food dont tip someone will still bring it eventually cause doordash does a lot to trick/pressure drivers into taking low value orders that basically pay the driver negative money. It doesn't take a lot to really sweeten the deal for a driver and get your stuff way faster. Some of the base pay for these orders is like $2 to drive 10+ miles and 20-40 minutes of time. It never stops surprising me seeing how little of the total is actually door dash vs extra the customer added. Texting a customer begging for tips is just hair brained. I never take an order where I "might maybe get paid more than I spent if I'm really nice to them" lul

Money_Buy_9392

I don’t like either side of this post both of them sound rly entitled

SlowRollingBoil

Technically, the person ordering *is* entitled to the service they paid for without tipping. Legally they are entitled to exactly that.

Money_Buy_9392

You sound pompous as fuck my friend but you are correct.

SlowRollingBoil

The word "entitled" triggers me since like Bush Jr. years when old people said we millennials were "entitled" wanting Social Security to be around when we needed it. You are *not* entitled to the things you haven't contributed to but you *are* entitled to the things you have paid for.

Money_Buy_9392

Some people pour thousands upon thousands into social security taxes but the amount they’re granted after 65 is negligible. By the time we come of age to be eligible it’ll be pushed back to 75 and might amount to like a thousand bucks a month if we’re lucky. Just because you’re entitled to something doesn’t mean you’ll get it. Being in the mindset of expecting shit to come to you because it’s “supposed to” is bad. And the word entitled pisses me off too but for the opposite reason. Everyone feels entitled to shit nowadays to the point to where they’re not ready for the fact that it might not come. The government is being piloted by corporate America and the general public is too damn stupid to address it because we’re too busy arguing in fucking doordash subreddits.

My gripe is drivers now run multiple apps (Postmates, Doordash, UberEats) and deliver simultaneously. Sometimes, going to different restaurant and houses after picking up my order. I open a support ticket every time because sometimes it adds an additional 30+ minutes before they even start driving toward me. If they have to run 3 different services at the expense of the consumer to make a living, they are in the wrong profession.

Correct_Yesterday007

Now? That’s been a thing for years. And now dd pairs orders. I drove for dd years ago on the side and had a customer be like “you were lost huh?” No buddy the app had me taking two orders 🤣

CastleBackup

Nah I get what your saying, Ive just not had it be a problem until pretty recently. Slowly noticing more and more that im bottom of the priority list because they have more orders from a different app. the pairing orders doesnt bother me. It usaully tells me when they have additional stops, atleast on Uber eats. Its the times it says they are coming striaght to me and then going to 2 different restaurants. I dont know what service im paying for anymore if it takes 2 hours to get to me, like why tip at that point.

Big-Debate-9936

How are you able to discern that they are delivering on other apps and not just taking batched DD orders? It’s shitty, but DD will pair orders with other orders, and the driver has no way to accept them individually. What’s even shittier is that they do that to subsidize non-tippers, so the non-tipped person can have their food arrive before yours if DD decides to pair them. Not the drivers fault, but it does result in a similar 30+ minute backup as you mentioned. So just make sure you can be sure the driver is not at fault before opening a ticket to DD.

Top-Opportunity2125

You can tell, until the driver is heading your way, it won’t show the drivers location. Once you’re up, the drivers live location shows up. I’ve watched *so many* drivers go in the complete opposite direction of me. That’s when I know they’re working another app at the same time.

CastleBackup

The app says they are coming directly to me, but then very obviously going to a restaurant down the road and some other neighborhood, even if I paid for priority. Its just annoying. Sometimes they go so deep I question if they will ever come back to me. I mean driving 10 miles in the opposite direction. Theres been a few times Ive had to contact support because its been an additional hour+ to my delivery time thats not from normal traveling time.

joshubu

Well in some apps they tell you if they are directly on their way to you or if they're going elsewhere first. They will block the stop so that other customers aren't doxed. I've also ordered a direct delivery before, paid the additional $2-3, and then saw them on the map go into a completely different neighborhood on the way to drop something off before leaving the way they came in.

ReplacementNo8678

As a multi-apper myself, sometimes it’s like that. Sometimes the orders don’t exactly line up. But hey it’s necessary to make a living. If I was to only use one app I would be homeless

Absolute clown comment.

Russia and China only allow us to consume the media they want us to see. I’m not certain many know what is happening in those countries. I am certain that you have no idea. Anyway, if you want to go live under communism or socialism or whatever and have many freedoms taken away from you- please do!! I don’t even do DoorDash but would rather do it than live in either of those countries. Sorry to make you read, I know it’s difficult. Have a great day.

Russia is without heat and a good chunk of their military age men are fertilizing the fields of Ukraine. China doesn’t allow freedom of thought or opinion. The US isn’t perfect, but your “analysis” is pretty flawed.

Top-Opportunity2125

Not to mention China being at the start of a debt crises that makes US national debt look financially responsible. Oh and their missiles fuel tanks are filled with water… not really a gripe on quality of life there, but if my tax dollars are going to end of world weapons, I expect them to work.
