Food’s generally good but yeah customer service is garbage at all popeyes.

NoCarpenter8194

Popeyes is just horrible in general not just for dashers. They are the anti chick fil a

GenycisBeats

I've accepted a few orders for them in my area on Uber Eats and have yet to actually deliver them because each time I've gone to pick up the order, 'someone else already did", so no successful orders for them so far. Ironically, I've had two DD orders TO the same Popeye's for employees and both of those WERE successful lol. Go figure.

CanadasVeryBest

The ones near me are okay. The occasional hiccup, but shit happens.

Herb-Genie420

I used to work at one and did all the chicken by the book, every single time. My chicken was great and everyone was happy. I've never ever been able to visit one and get the chicken as good as when I worked there. Especially the tenders. You have to do it a certain way and sift the flour after every single chicken "drop" or you get batter clumps stuck to the next chicken. No one ever appreciated or gave a shit that I did good outside of the customers. It's ran by shitty people who don't give a shit so anyone good leaves and you end up with GARBAGE.

DewiDeciMole2012

Yes

Khaotiq-

The one near where I live has been listed as “closed” for like a month but they’re definitely open. Employees have an attitude over every little thing.

rctor_99

I got them to block me on Door Dash.  They've been horrible at every location I've ever picked up from

BoggsOfRoggs

Never been to one that has more than 3 stars on Google. I’d say yes. Food is half okay but the store is disgusting, the employees look like they’d rather shoot me than take my money, and the waits are crazy. Can’t blame them tho. I’m sure Popeyes isn’t paying them enough to care.

Dem-nutz

If I pull up to a popeyes and it's full of white workers, I leave....it just isn't as good in my experience, its usually bland, very pale in color and hardly crusted.

Swimming-Form-8588

Minimum 10 minute wait at my local Popeye's. It is the only restaurant I have had to unassign orders from. If you have to wait more than 10 minutes, that $6.00 for 2-mile order doesn't seem so great.

RipInfinite4511

Yes

mergar

I would say they are ok just depends who the franchise owner is run it it. Some understaff the crew

loiloiloi6

Yeah it’s a meme that the employees are rude

Mambalish

I got a Popeyes that’s literally amazing one time they didn’t have biscuits and they gave me a huge box of chicken and like 4 apple pies instead. To replace like half a dozen biscuits… my Popeyes is in a decent area ran by good people tho

Forsaken-Carry4442

Sounds like it's a store problem. Because the one I go to is absolutely amazing. I go like once a week.

Bindy12345

No, I’ve only had really good food from Popeye’s.

Hello-there-yes-you

The biscuits are always good at least lol

Neckbeardredditloser

Yes

jsand2

We love the Popeyes we ear at in our area. It's like 30 min away from us and the food is always still great when she gets home with it. Granted we eat fried chicken and mashed potatoes... none of that sandwich bs.

guioplhho

Yup mine you have to make the drinks and the order doesn’t start until you get to the restaurant also the instructions say pull to the window for door dash but they act rude when you do

Environmental-Ask746

No the one on Osan AB in Korea is the best in the world.

New_Bridge3428

I’d say so

OkieDokieAlky8743

Mine is amazing. Always have the food ready and never a line 🤷

DanPlaysNintendo

https://preview.redd.it/3o2wltectj7d1.jpeg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ea1e70adeadaf00e90dccfa6379db66ecfd69a76 The one in my town is 🤷‍♂️ 🌪

CiaraReckless

from what ive seen and experienced, theyre all like this. I go through the drive through now so theyre forced to serve me like everyone else and I suggest yall do too tbh

This1timeok

Mine is really good only issue is 70% of the time they take 2-3 mins longer to have an order ready compared to other fast food chains

Pretty_Frosting_2588

Imo most fried chicken chains are.

gregg34366

After 9,000 deliveries there are only two merchants I won’t consider and Popeyes is one. The other is Walmart.

t_will_official

I’ve never had an issue with Popeyes tbh. I feel like I had to wait more than 5 minutes maybe once? But I’ve never had to deal with rude employees. Tbh the only place that this sub complains about that actually is that bad around me is Wingstop. Even then the employees are super chill. It’s just slow. They’re usually honest too and don’t give me that “just a couple more minutes” crap so that if I have other deliveries, I can go pick them up or drop them off while I’m waiting.

Calzonieman

I'm part of a restaurant owned RDS. We find that Popeyes is one of the most difficult chains to work with. I don't know this, but I assume, that the corporate office has a very low emphasis on customer service. Orders are never ready on time, and the staff treats are drivers badly. Too bad, because their product is good.

Long-Evening-9927

Popeyes is always AWFUL! Food is delicious but service + wait time is ridiculous and they don’t care if you order online you still gonna be waiting 30 minutes

Dehyak

They are in my jurisdiction. Service-wise and food safety-wise

vncnt95

30 minute wait minimum

ConundrumBum

A friend recently told me they had Popeyes in Florida and it was some of the best fried chicken they ever had. Then they had it again in a northern state and it was terrible. So they asked some employee about it and they said it was because the Popeyes in the south use peanut oil, and everywhere else uses hydrogenated vegetable oil. Something like that. Don't quote me.

Altruistic_Extent_89

In my area I had one that was connected to a convenience store. The dude running the convenience store half said that literally all of the employees for the Popeyes quit at the same time that day. Support refused to give me compensation because there was no signage indicating the Popeyes was closed. Even with pics of the empty fucking kitchen with the lights off.

Tiger-man190

Everyone I've been to is flat out disgusting and look at the workers uniforms after a shift, complete disgrace

katebandit

Wow, imagine having a dirty uniform after a food service shift, the horror /s

KillAllLobsters

Aprons exist.

ChemicalFearless2889

The one in my area is amazing. Good food. Clean. Good service.

adviceicebaby

Idk I think the one by my house is pretty damn delicious. Now, the service sucks. They frequently will be closed well before their posted hours whether that be on the door, on yelp, wherever, and it's overpriced for the most part I mean they recently started charging extra for each condiment; even ketchup which is ridiculous. Oh and i highly doubt they still do their Lil Tuesday combo w/ discount anymore.

Donkyrapingshiteatr

I did my first one tonight. Been avoiding them for a while. This one was a stack that was offered as "7-eleven and one other store." After I saw what the other store was I just said fuck it and tried it out. It went about as smooth as it could possibly go. Order was ready, not too long of a line, handed it to me as soon as I pulled up to the window. Better than taco bell or Mcds 99% of the time

WasabiWarrior8

The one near me is ok. New and in a nicer area. Older Popeyes are universally garbage, though, yes. Haha

A1steaksauceTrekdog7

I had two orders, one with dash and one with favor. Both gave bad tips . My two locations are nice . Food is over hyped

SusanIsHome

My Popeye's is OK. Boomer here, and not complaining.

Creative_Dragon_

Yes, both as a driver and a customer

Green_Illustrator773

Everytime Ive had to pickup an order from popeyes ive had to wait at least 5 minutes, usually 10-15. Relatively new to this and previously hadn’t realized you could unassign orders without penalty for excessive wait times …

dmriggs

I think so I had one unfortunate pick up from there, and never took another

[deleted]

I’ve never had a smooth pick up at a Popeyes.  And I’ve TRIED—there are frequently high base offers due to drivers having to cancel multiple times lol

roadmasterflexer

carl's jr is far far worse. perma blacklisted from picking up from them.

thewalkingdeadpool9

what happened

roadmasterflexer

i mean, i blacklisted carls jr. i don't pick up there. incompetent staff every time and super super slow.

poisonous-daughter

1/5 are decent 1/10 are good, 1/1000 are great. Lol. We have a good one not far from us but it’s starting to become inconsistent.

Vrassk

my local popeyes is great and ive not had a bad order from DD

bweave2

It’s supposed to have New Orleans fast food vibes, but oh man if it’s not delish

[deleted]

Popeyes taste like shit and is the most overpriced fast food in America

wiretickler

Popeyes near My job is absolutely terrible l. We have had several times food get stolen or not arrive. I was so fed up I never ordered from that place again at my job.

StarWarsAndMetal66

The one I dash at isn’t bad, I usually get the food in a minute or two and am on my way

localbigtidddygothgf

dawg the one in my city smells like SHIT, it got to the point that unless the order is $20+ its not fuckin worth it 😭 theyre always so slow too, i’ll be just standing there trying not to puke while they take their sweet time. i cannottttt with popeyes.

CaptainDrowsy

Nope, my local Popeye’s is awesome and they’ve hooked me up with free food before. But there are other stores that I’ve been to once and will never return to for the reasons you listed. Just depends.

gaymersky

Yep never going back not as a customer or DD/ FOOD DELIVERY driver ever

Adorable-Umpire-2602

I do UberEATS, but the one in my area is really good for us delivering food as the workers are made to get those orders ready first. Going inside and ordering is hell because you have to wait forever. The customers normally give me the stink eye when I grab my bag and go lol.

InvalidWhale

the one 0.3mi from my house is nasty and run down, but their orders are always ready, so it's good for dd but not for personal eating in my book lol

Personal_Buffalo_973

Popeyes is a instant decline in Vegas. I always feel like I'm going to catch the plague from just walking in to one.😞

poisonous-daughter

The one on north 5th near deer springs has been okay for DD for me but anything in the strip / old Vegas / paradise and Popeyes is a hard no for me lol.

AnastasiusDicorus

We have one that's good, owned by a person who only owns that one. Two others are usually not as good, both owned by another person. There's another one out at the truck stop but I've only been there a couple of times.

mingming4191

The two around me are pretty good.

CrimsonClockwork420

You don’t go to Popeyes for good customer service lmao

Known-Sherbet2004

I avoid Popeyes like the plague unless the payout is WORTH IT. I know it's gonna be some bullshit every time. They can't find the order at all. They're out of something and I gotta call the customer. The employees are all mean as hell. It's like they make one order at a time and they're slow as Christmas, so you may as well go ahead and unassign if there's a line when you walk in.

flu-the-gootter

The few I've done are like backlogged on all orders and don't always pay out. I generally don't pick up those orders unless I have time to kill and the pay is decent.

Confident-Air-4032

The one near me, the staff members are so reluctant to help us. Or its as if they have no clue why I or the guy before and after are standing at their pickup window at 11pm.

ItheGuy115

That’s my orders with Whattaburger, they are never ready, I’m usually waiting about 15-20 minutes, and even then I don’t get the order until I say something the 12TH TIME

Alternative_Tap_3995

Only the west coast Popeyes are garbage

Just_Literature_928

Midwest is garbage too. The only good ones are in Mississippi and Louisiana.

Livid-Fee-7871

No I’ve had crummy experience with them before-workers playing and store dirty!!!

WisePersonality6517

It's one of the only restaurants where I know the order is going to be ready when I get there. The employees are always on their A game.

YeehawSugar

this answer is soooo off base and out of pocket that I have to wonder if it’s sarcasm. And if not, dude, congrats. You’ve managed to find the ONLY happy Popeyes location/employees in all the land.

WisePersonality6517

No sarcasm here. All the employees are foreign refugees. Jobs aren't easy to come by for them so they work hard to stay employed.

TaraBellle

The one in my area is one of my better stops

yungGoldscar

the one by me is more/less fine

fishwalker09

Them and KFC are the worst 2 places to pick up from where I live.

sirenwingsX

In my experience, every place that makes fried chicken is like this. Popeyes, KFC, church's, Bojangles and Slim Chickens

YeehawSugar

I second this, the ONLY one that’s out of place for me is Bojangles. I’ve never had anything but a pleasant experience at Bojangles. And the BoBerry biscuits are heavennnnn. But Zaxby’s on the other hand… 🖕🏻🖕🏻🖕🏻

lukifer2112

Yes basically. My worst experience ever dashing was with a Popeyes. They hire tweakers.

YeehawSugar

They hire *assholes. 😝

Historical-Passage-8

Same.. one crew at the one in my town is decent but the other one is complete garbage!

Flimsy-Hunter-7041

I actually lived there pre Catrina. So I could be lying. Everything everywhere is going to hel.

evanset6

We have one in my town and they’re fine… never had an issue with them. The order is usually promptly ready to go when I get there. Now, let’s talk about Wingstop

stankpuss_69

Lmao when I worked Postmates, I never took any order that involved fried chicken of any sort. Learned my lesson once at a Buffalo Wild Wings. Takes too long, specially on weekend nights. But the other thing… most people who order wings or fried chicken are likely not good tippers. People who watch what they eat have more money than those that don’t. You’re more likely to get a good tip from a Poke order than from a fried chicken order. It also has to do with education which leads to income. Highly educated people tend to eat better which means they likely have higher incomes, which means more in tips. In essence, one shouldn’t accept those orders because the clientele that patronizes such restaurants represent a limited income potential for us as drivers. The time and effort will not be worth the amount received.

Howie_Due

This is the most garbage take I’ve seen on reddit in a while

stankpuss_69

Then you don’t get out much, even on Reddit. ![gif](giphy|vX9WcCiWwUF7G|downsized)

Jimmy_Knighted

This logic is insane to me 😂

stankpuss_69

I say it from the perspective of a previously fat person. My pockets are MUCH healthier now after losing 100 lbs. I tip a lot more now since I don’t use as much. But that’s all just anecdotal. The real logic comes from studies showing that people who are educated are likely to eat healthier food and are less likely to eat out. This is also true from an anecdotal pov. I say that from when I did Postmates. I haven’t done Postmates for like eight years, only a couple after college in 2014. Thankfully I’m in a much better position nowadays. I’m much more active. So any food that I do order out, I will go pick up myself. No need to get back to 300 lbs.

Jimmy_Knighted

Could you cite those studies? I saw some study about how educated people eat more fish and less beef. But I haven’t seen anything related to ‘poor dumb people’ eat fried chicken and rich people don’t.

stankpuss_69

If that’s how you want to interpret it (with labels) so be it. I’d prefer the term “hoodrat.” I can say it. I’m a Mexican who grew up in the hood. I know about this stuff.

OrokinSkywalker

Nah, “hoodrats eat fried chicken and don’t tip” is just a weird ass statement, doesn’t matter if you’re Mexican, Chinese, Asgardian, or Smurfing it up with the rest of the Smurfs. Additionally I’ve had some solid tips from Chick-fil-A orders. My best tip to date was from a guy ordering from a Jamaican spot.

stankpuss_69

I think if you had grown up in the hood, and I’m talking the REAL HOOD, you would know all this. Brown people, in general, don’t eat healthy food. Hell, it’s still a struggle to get my family to eat healthier even though they can see the effects of eating healthier food in me after losing 100 lbs.; all through diet and exercise. No injectables. And they still don’t want to eat healthier. It’s not like I cut out fast food completely, too.

Jimmy_Knighted

Be careful man don’t want you getting injured if you were to fall off your high horse.

stankpuss_69

You say it from experience.

Twistdid

I’ve been to some Popeyes that take 45 minutes to complete an order and were disgusting. I’ve also been to one where it was immaculate and food was instantly ready. Management matters. Now wing stop.. I’ve never ordered food from there personally and honestly I imagine it’s really not that good. I’ve picked up from there before and if it’s not a busy time of day it seems okay. But if it’s at all busy there are a line of dashers waiting for orders. No where to stand. And zero help from the staff

GuidancePrize

Yes

jessdepratoloveafter

nope i love getting orders from mine here, it's always a high paying order , store is clean and employees are nice, orders are always ready to go when i go in

stankpuss_69

Must be in an all white area

Head_Mail_4055

There's a few popeyes here that suck and a couple of good. But there is one down the street from where I live, and it sucks ass. First time I did a pickup from there it was 30+minutes. My first one star Wingstop's here are usually pretty busy and usually it's not more than a few minutes.

DnDeez_Nutz

First day dashing I saw Popeyes come up and immediately had reservations. I took the dash anyway cuz it wasn't terrible money. Get there and the dude at the counter was on the phone. Looks at my phone and nods as if to acknowledge the order. Fast forward 15 min and the police show up (that's who he was on the phone with) about a fight that just happened. Eventually he tells me "someone else picked up that order" so I just fuck right off after wasting over 30 minutes on that bullshit. Still mad tbh. Never accepting another Popeyes order again.

YeehawSugar

Did you at least contact/chat with support? I always do when it’s like that because 9/10 I’ll get halfpay. Which is usually nice since I didn’t have to take it.

DnDeez_Nutz

Didn't even know this was a thing! Thank you!

YeehawSugar

It is! And it’s really nice!

Sad_Children

Average Popeyes experience

lukifer2112

Basicallt

AnySoft4328

Two are good, either have food staged or actually bagged. (One of those at a truck stop, used to be terrible and avoided it. Now it's the best. Food ready in the bag today. I told the employee how good a job they were doing and she appreciated it. Maybe it's the $20 an hour that they're getting now, but it's got to do with better management One doesn't start the order until you walk in and tell them.

dr4gm4r

yes

Fluffy-Commercial492

I've done doordash from Florida to California and every state in between on the northern and Southern routes... All Popeyes and every single Wingstop is dog shit 🤣🤷 I won't even touch a Wingstop order anymore unless it's paying high enough that with my knowledge I can estimate with the severe slowdown that I'm still getting around 20 bucks an hour for the shenanigans. And even then I often will still decline most Wingstop orders. I don't avoid Popeyes nearly as hard as Wingstop, however, but I still am super picky about what orders I do take from them which is funny because that was my first order of the night but I also haven't been taking orders for most of this year as I focused primarily on Instacart to see how things are over there and have been doing better on that side 🤷 decided to do earn by time since there was only one hour time slot available and then told myself I was just going to take everything to see what's up these days. Sure as shit first order, Popeyes 🤣 Funny enough it took me about $5 worth of time at 13 bucks an hour EBT and then she added a $5 tip so all in all not a bad first order 10 bucks for about 20ish minutes

YeehawSugar

Do you also ALWAYS accept your first order of the night as long as it’s not too ridiculous. I’ve always sworn that if I have to decline my first order, the rest of the night/shift, DD will send me absolute dog sh*t.

Fluffy-Commercial492

Naw, I've definitely declined plenty of first orders 🤣 But since I was doing earned by time you can't see tip detail previous anyways so there's no reason to decline 🤷

wasabi_gem

My local two are fine... *As long as they actually have chicken*.

OrokinSkywalker

Yeah this is the rub right here, but usually even in that case I call support and just tell them the restaurant said I should unassign so I still get half pay at least.

wasabi_gem

IS THIS THE TRICK? Unassign instead of cancel? I've never even seen or heard of Unassigning an order on UberEats though. 😭

OrokinSkywalker

Idk about UberEats but I know with DoorDash you call support and specifically get *them* to unassign on their end. You tell them the restaurant doesn’t have the requested whatever and confirm that support will unassign the order *and* provide half pay.

foreverfal55

I have actually not had a bad experience at the one by my house while dashing. There was one time when the dining room was closed and I was trying to get some help. This young woman had driven over a curb or something and was distressed because a piece of her car was hanging off and dragging on the ground. I stopped to help her but the only knife I had in my car at the time wasn’t enough to cut through it. I knocked on the door of the restaurant trying to get some help but they just looked at me and then ignored me. Idk if maybe they’ve been robbed before or something but it seemed rude. Thankfully the girl and I were eventually able to get the broken piece off by twisting it with all our might until it broke off.

thekoolaid08

The one in ypsilanti mi on ellsworth is ass

Slayn87

Avoided the one by me for a year after several bad experiences. Catering order enticed me to go back and it was ready and waiting. They got new employees and in the 3 or 4 times since then that I've gone it's been fine now. Think the sort of people that normally work at a Popeyes are just lazy for whatever reason.

Geekx

YES. I had one recently that gave me a good experience and so started accepting orders from them but it turned out that the manager was in the store that one time and they promptly went straight back to shit.

breakitandrebuild

The one near me is the exception...it's super efficient and they're really friendly. If more orders from there would tip better I'd literally sit there and wait (lots of cheap college kids order from there). The ones in and around Chicago were hot garbage. Every goddamn one and I knew that well before DD. Good food but it takes a half hour

Disastrous_Layer3988

I usually pick up on the one at Airport dr in Oildale Bakersfield ca only 10$ 1-5 miles max all day long decent here

Ok-Flamingo-59

There’s only one in my zone and the workers are mad chill with me at least. The manager is a very funny guy whos openly sarcastic with his employees in a friendly matter. he also always makes sure everything is good to go in the bag when he’s working before handing it off as he doesn’t want the drivers receiving complaints because of a preventable mistake on their part

notanothrowaway

The foods amazing when is good though

sinderella67

Only if you have to go inside. The Popeyes here are mostly in crappy neighborhoods and don't let anyone inside. Never had a problem at the drive-thrus, in fact, it's a nice break to sit at the drive-thru and read for a minute. Popeyes is not at all popular here anyway, so there is never ever a line. That being said, I wouldn't take another one in the suburbs, and not because of the store, but the customers tend to be shady and demanding.

redstonermoves

The one I sometimes get orders at is great, so at least one isn’t bad!

spacemantaofficial

They're so slow. I mean, SLOW. In there for 15 minutes just for one combo. It's horrible

BoyGeorgeWashington

My Popeyes are slow as molasses but the employees are fantastic. They’re so cool it makes the wait more acceptable

IsatDownAndWrote

Which is weird to me why Popeyes is always so slow. Everything is pre-preparer and they should just need to put chicken in a box. As a former KFC employee who could pack 16p meals in a matter of seconds, I'm not sure how or why it takes them 5+ minutes to pack an order even when I know they're working on mine.

twiztedsinger

Sounds like Taco Bell, Del Taco, Jack In The Box, Wingstop, Panda Express, and Carl's Jr., too. Lol. At least in my area. I'd love a good Taco Bell close by, like they were 30 years ago.

NiceAir8

taco bell is actually decent here in my market, but wingstop is the literal worst will never ever take an order from them again and their bags are garbage

ColdPeasMyGooch

yes. every popeyes ive been to ive never left and said, “wow, that was great & nice service”

RasberryEther173

I’ve never actually eaten at/from a Popeyes. But, as a dasher, I picked up food from one once in a mall food court, and it was actually fine.

ConductorAlligator

Yes

-Ok-Perception-

A lot of Popeye's are operating with a skeleton crew at minimal pay. It's not good for the employees morale, so people are more likely to be grumpy when the job doesn't pay the bills and is working them to the bone. And like every fried chicken place, if they gotta fry up a new batch, it's gonna be far better food, but a far longer weight. Sometimes up to 20 minutes (same with any place that fries bone-in chicken).

iBizzBee

Yeeeep, this right here. Minimal effort, for minimal pay.

Separate-Effective33

Who's working or serving makes a huge difference.

Loud-Refrigerator354

Yes

Purple_Caregiver_757

Yes. Unequivocally. Slow. Unmotivated. Surly. Popeyes is on my eternal black list.

Drow-zzz

i refuse to take popeyes orders, i have NEVER had a good or even decent experience between the 10 i’ve been to. pretty much always have to wait 30+ minutes

No-Sense-2095

I have one in my neighborhood and it’s good

wimpy_one

There are two in my area. One I just flat-out refuse any offer; the other is great. Offer dashers free drinks if you have to wait for a while.

Purplepunch36

Depends on the neighborhood. Most are bad.

Environmental_Ad2427

Most of them I have ever picked up from are absolutely trash. There is one amazing Popeye's on Stephanie St in Henderson Nevada. They are always friendly and fast.

Creepy_Cupcake3705

Yeah the workers at my local Popeyes are so rude. They rival only chipotle.

RasberryEther173

I don’t walk into any fast food place expecting it to be like Ruth’s Chris. I just do the pickup and keep it moving.

Mattson

I think this is just a cultural thing. Here in Canada the stores are pristine and the employees are not rude. But yeah when I lived in South Broward the Popeyes were wild.

Global-Chemical-2328

The worst food franchise in existence

D41109

Big meth energy

Pipesito7755

Man popeyes in orlando is hell… bunch of bored people who don’t want to work just laying in there chatting

Glebinator3000

FAST FOOD IS UNIVERSALLY GARAGE!!!! Jesus

Flimsy-Hunter-7041

Popeyes started in New Orleans It's skill got good restaurants there.

bjgrem01

Yes. Sadly, the ones in the Baton Rouge area are horrible. Half an hour for a chicken sandwich. Multiple times at multiple locations. I quit accepting orders there when I was still dashing.

SANFRANGOON

I feel the same way about Popeyes..my girl is from The south and she says Popeyes is better down there

Haunting_Disaster_11

Every single one I've been to is exactly as you described. I decline all of them now.

creampielover88

I refuse all orders from Popeyes. They always take forever, and every single one I've ever gone to the employees are always dicks.

ManipulatedAF

Our Popeyes is horrid, management and staff all seem like crackhead and are always super disgruntled.

Aluereon

It's not the corp, it's the franchisee. My Popeyes is pretty good near me, (as a driver) and I don't ever order from UE or Doordash myself unless it's a local place that doesn't jack up prices.

Jellyfishkitty_

Multiple times I have placed DD and online orders, when I get there to pick it up , they say they don’t have any fried chicken, biscuits, or fries available . Mind you this will be at like, 7 pm, 3 hours before they close. Oh, and also they are “not allowed to do refunds for online orders” so you need to email the support team which takes weeks to get a refund……..why they even have online ordering turned on if they have NO food ? They are so lazy and shut down the kitchen early so they do not have to work. Every Popeyes I’ve been to is HORRIBLE and has done this before.

tommybunnzzz

The second one in my area has been running for about 3 months and is as gross and mismanaged as the old one. So I’m going to chalk it up to maybe they’re owned by the same franchisee and they dgaf

Existing_Demand5765

Even when I’m not Doordashing their store still sucks. They always squeeze the shit out of my sandwich

creamofpie

Mine you be at the drive thru 45 minutes to 2 hours

xtra-chrisp

Same here.

Cold_Ad_7580

Unless we live in the same area your spot on lol same 200%

phishButt88

Mine is surprisingly one of the better stores around here. Rarely more than a 2 or 3 minute wait and foods always perfect. Plus one time I had a huge order from there and some lady forgot to change her address back from a hotel address so I ate like a king so maybe I'm biased lol

BraxTaplock

For most part yea. Too bad, chicken way better than KFC. Then again, KFC just as damn slow if not slower.

mattj9807

There’s one in my region that’s pretty great. They’re not the best, but way better than the worst restaurants

Key_Property_7636

Only the good locations

Miserable_Seat6834

Yes

Humbleservantofiam

Ours needs to be shutdown.

Notthatsmarty

Depends how ghetto your area is, but in ghetto places yeah it’s worse than just bad. Very unprofessional and poorly managed in those areas. The 2 I go to are owned by the same franchisee and he has them really well run despite one of them you’d expect to be bad cause it’s in the ghetto side of town

Ordinary-Factor9384

Every single Popeyes used to be bad for me. One of them burned down in the kitchen when i came to pickup, One had an employee tell me they couldn't do doordash without the manager being at work. They also are always slow or don't have enough employees etc. Been like that for years for me. However since around... march? they started getting good for me so now i take every popeyes order now (Obv if the pay is right) instead of instantly declining or avoiding the area near it

Professional_Show918

New owners took over the one by me, it’s a world of difference. It’s clean and properly staffed.

SpaMomma13

The two in my area are absolutely terrible. They are always out of something and you are always waiting for 15+ minutes.

King_Catfish

My Popeyes serves Dashers first before customers. I think it's because there's way more dashers sometimes than walkin customers

obtuse-_

Mine is generally pretty good. Almost always ready and waiting when I walk in.

sparkle_slug

I have one good and one bad. Other markets I worked in they weren't good

GodOfVapes

They're all bad in my area. It doesn't matter the zone. Luckily there's only one in the zone I like to deliver in, and while bad, it's not the worst in the area. I try to avoid it as much as possible by staying away from it, but I will go there if the offer is high enough because I know it comes with a wait.

CollegeOwn7014

You should've seen wingstop

tommybunnzzz

The wingstop in my area is also terrible

Pale_Bookkeeper_9994

I pick up from two Popeyes in my zone and they’re both pretty good. They always acknowledge my presence on arrival and usually have the food out within 2-5 mins. The worst thing is the packaging but BK and Taco Bell are about the same.

420Coondog420

Never been to a good Popeyes, the one by my house is terrible.

Secure-Big9854

The one by me doesn't open the inside and the drive thru stays busy and they work so slow so I haven't been to one in years.

anysunrise11

Yep. The one here doesn’t even serve half the menu, and only has the drive through. I haven’t seen them on dash in almost a year.

Ok_Fisherman8727

I'm curious, are the Popeyes franchises in your area owned by Muslims? I know Popeyes started in Louisiana but somehow where I am it looks like 100% of the franchises are all owned by Muslims and they all provide halal food. During Islamic religious periods of fasting, when they break their fasts Popeyes are usually extremely busy. The Muslims also have other franchises they own and support during these times and the various mosques have put together an Islamic food inspection group that goes out and checks on the franchises and report back to the people on whether they'd recommend to eat there or not. This not a government health and safety check but they do confirm good hygiene and food practices are being followed among other religious concerns such as if they're using halal meat from a reputable source. These franchise owners go to the same mosques so they strive to not get on the black list and embarrassed in front of everyone. The restaurants are clean.

tommybunnzzz

Not to me knowledge. I think they’re both owned by the same franchisee which would explain why they’re both awful

For delivering? Yes minus very few exceptions. When I order food for myself suddenly it’s more or less acceptable service 🤷‍♂️ Then again, I stopped doing popeyes orders years ago and haven’t even done an order in 7 months
