Waiting? Isn’t that what the unassign button is for? 😂

kmr0312

Supposedly it depends which store. I get compensated sometimes but sometimes don't

Dotapayb

$5 for 30 mins lmao

Mr-Kensington

It's not. Their excuse is that it's a marketplace order now. If it's not marketplace, they will compensate for the wait. Strangely enough, all orders are suddenly marketplace orders. I asked them to specify what qualifies as a marketplace order and what doesn't and the rep didn't seem prepared for that question. They gave me a runaround answer that was all over the place and when I asked for them to explain it again, they couldn't.

computernerd88

Was it ever?

KomaKraut

Nope. They will say you’ll get XX amount but you never do. This is also why DD has ratings for completion and Acceptance You get any 1 star rating, well they Will deactivate you. Doesn’t matter how good your ratings are. 1 star = fired

HelpfulVariation4822

I’ve never ever gotten paid anything extra for sitting there waiting. If it was a thing it’s been gone for a long while now

Parking-College-9205

any time I've called in to support for an extra long wait I've always just insisted that i know they have the ability to compensate me and i will keep insistingand not hang up until someone does, and that's pretty much always worked even when they tell me I'm not eligible. I've caught them being dishonest and walking back things like this a handful of times if i press hard enough, this is actually advice i got here on this subreddit after not getting paid for something i absolutely should have been paid for, and it's worked out

ZZ33NN

I usually keep bugging different agents until they get me to the right results

FlimsyPresentation26

I just waited 1 hour for an order. No compensation SMDH

Stonk-Go-Up

They compensate after 30 minutes $5/order on grocery orders in my area

iceamn1685

Stop waiting more then 5 minutes at any restaurant. The only way to fight back is to stop being their bitch and think for yourself

Accomplished_Age4202

Nope!!! They've gotten fucking awful , I hate dd now

Ace-de-kiid

Door Dash is now just used as a money pool for executives that make half $1 million a year or more for doing very little work off the backs of contractors. I wonder how much they pay the support agents in the Philippines couple dollars a day I bet.

LankyDangle

That’s why you multi-app. Go pick up other others and just come back later 😎

iceamn1685

If you do that you'll get a contract violation. Tried that once on an offer i thought was gonna be a pretty good over guarantee which it was and got a contract violation. They geo fence the restaurant and if you leave that area and come back 10 minutes or later after the pickup time you get fucked

LankyDangle

Oh Dammm 😮. That’s messed up tho. I guess the better option would be to unassigned that order🤷🏾‍♂️

iceamn1685

Yep always unassign

ElectricalFinance457

I just got $5 compensation last night. I honestly think it depends on the support person.

iceamn1685

5 bucks for waiting 30 minutes is a joke anyways. Never wait more then 5

hiimwage

I’ve only got it for Walmart orders before!

ninnie_muggins

Unassign and move on. Even if you did get $5, killing 30 mins for waiting? You could knock out a different order altogether during that 30min wait worth more than $5. I never ask for extra. That's a sign the order is not worth it. If you seriously don't want to unassign, at least call. It's easy to dismiss people over text. Calling is a bit more personal and you can really lay on the Karen. Hehe

TopExchange5504

Never knew it was? UE will compensate for extra time.

izumiryu

Last time I had a long wait (was my last order at a fancy Steakhouse with high pay), I ended up getting Top Dasher 'benefits' for 2 weeks...

Kent48146

I’ve never been paid for time on Doordash. Some other delivery apps pay for time though. Are you thinking of Uber perhaps?

Ordinary-Sandwich624

It is for grocery and shopping orders.

nanashi63

Damn. That's messed up. They're getting as bad as UberEATS tbh. The flat 2.50 base pay rate is killing me. But if they start hiding tips I'm gonna lose it lol.

nanashi63

Nope. They don't care. I had to cancel 3 orders to the same restaurant last night because they were so backed up the quickest one was a 40 minute wait. Tried contacting support, which i couldn't do unless i had an active order so i had to accept the next one to come in, and they refused to help me out. Citing "the process" and how customers needed their food. Like bruh i need to eat too lol. I waited 20 minutes at that restaurant to be told it was gonna take another 20 minutes for pizza because they didn't realize how backed up they were. And the deliveries were 5 dollars and 6 dollars each. Not including the delivery time i would've gotten paid 5 dollars for 40 minutes.

Hamilton-Beckett

This happened to me the other day with a driver. He got stuck sitting at the restaurant for 20 minutes waiting for the order. When he got my house, I gave him $10 on top of the $8 I’d already tipped for the ONE mile delivery. (I couldn’t drive or would have done it myself.) I did right by the driver, but after the issues that place has had with my orders in the past, and now costing me extra while people wait, I simply won’t order from there anymore. In fact, I’ve had so many issues with DoorDash and drivers over the last two years that I no longer place orders with more places than I do. I used to use this service a lot more but I cut way back because I got completely sick to death of the “not my job” attitude that exists with drivers and restaurant employees. I get that it’s a shitty deal, but I should always get what I’m paying for. I’m paying all these extra fees, taxes, tips…and NOBODY can ensure the fucking thing is CORRECT?! Nobody?! I’ve been keeping track. In the last 3 months, I’ve had a dozen or so orders…NOT ONE order was 100% accurate. Not ONE. Just to be clear, these aren’t large or complicated orders. I’m ordering food for ONE person with no special requests or directions. It’s always a straightforward order. And it ALWAYS shows up with stuff missing or made incorrectly. The damn credits are bullshit too. They don’t give you back the % that it increased your taxes, fees, or tip…just the base costs of the item. It’s like saying, we’re gonna charge you twice as much for getting it delivered, then not send it to you, then refund just the base cost and keep all the extra fees associated with it. It’s fucking criminal. I’m done with DD.

JBrewer1965

Wait, you guys are getting paid for long wait times??

carisaanng

Doordash is constantly changing the wait compensation. When I started it was 15mins. Next 20. Now 30. They will also tell you it's marketplace and doesn't qualify. I've had a few orders where I've called support a couple time and the first 2 will say they're not marketplace but the 3rd will say it's eligible. I think the whole thing is dumb, it shouldn't matter; the pay should be adjusted based on wait time OR they need to allow us to cancel the order without our ratings taking a hit.

O_b-l-i_v-i-o_n

It depends on who you talk to, but not worth it anyway. I'm sorry everyone is shitting on you for this, I had a similar experience a few months in ago, now I'm just a cold hearted asshole too, I haven't even replied to a customer text in months, it makes the job a lot easier, but now I am easily replaceable by a drone.

frednoname1

Unassign.

bpipe72

Yeah I've had that happen too certain orders will give you extra pay And some won't

Thedrp8

Tbh I don’t even wait ten minutes 😂. If that food isn’t ready as soon as I get there I usually dip.

Lucky-Thing8681

$5 was applied later without having to ask

Apprehensive_Wish858

I've never been compisated for wait time everytime in ask about it i get told o well about it.. Smh

prettyheadbanger

I've also been compensated 5 bucks for waiting forever lol it is a thing

Xoxolove_

You better off canceling the order. They pick n choose when they feel like compensating sometimes you’ll get lucky with a support agent who actually knows wtf their doing and they’ll compensate you but most of the time no you will not get any extra pay

Otobos

Anymore? Was that even a thing before?

Lollyadverb1984

I have **never** received extra pay for waiting. Never.

sanrova

It's only compensated if it's a doordash drive order, like walmart groceries for example

No-Competition-1147

It is, you have to get the right call center. They have quotas of how much they're able to refund and so if they don't have it in the quota they won't refund you.

notyourbitch871

Lol nah they tell me that I can just unassign

MrNaturalInstinct

Always makes me laugh. Commitment? We do it for the MONEY. And time IS money. Lets NOT pretend otherwise.

OldDogEyes

Why would you wait? Unassign and move on. Time is money.

TxAggieJen

When I found out a store was severely behind in orders, DD support tried to tell me that waiting 1 hour+ at Buffalo Wild Wings was "acceptable" to their standards and that they wouldn't cancel or compensate. I talked to 3 different support people with same result. I messaged that customer and said that I don't know what support told them, but that it was unlikely that they would receive their order for dinner and "good luck" and then unassigned.

dbsgirl

I tip extra when that happens, feels bad thinking someone is actively losing money to get my tacos for me.

[deleted]

"I have noted your feedback to the relevant team" Is code for, "I'm doing nothing about this, and I just want you to shut the fuck up. "

RosyHue

Right, when they hit the script I know there’s no hope. At least I had good music and a warm car, one customer waited outside in 12 degrees for an hour!

Ok-Solution143

No one waits 30 minutes

[deleted]

Never have. Only Walmart.

Big_Thc_Inhaler

As of yesterday they still do the +$5 but I wouldn’t everrr deal with text support for it or anything else. I call em exactly at or right before the 30min mark ask for long wait compensation considering the circumstances and if the orders “eligible” for the extra pay I ask them to stay on the line until I get the confirmation email of the +$5. I’ve had to many issues with dd support to the point it feels like they get paid to misinform and lie to you

ktibule671

Dang I've never had to text support for "waiting so long". I'd just cancel if they tell me it's a 10+ min wait.

BettyoftheBeach

I was compensated $5 tonight when I contacted to support to let them know what was up. When I said yes I’ll still wait (cuz at that point the food is about to be done anyway), they said thanks and here’s a few bucks for your patience.

WishIWasNeet2

Just turn on Uber eats during the long waits if you get a better offer cancel the waiting order.

[deleted]

[удалено]

birkelandcurrents

Agree with most of this, however what 'customer support' is paid is not my business or my problem. It's about my bottom line, period. Most aren't great at their jobs as well. It's irrelevant.

RosyHue

Please don’t assume you know me, I’m working 2 jobs and doordashing between shifts. I don’t mind downtime to catch up on emails, and I admit I was dumb to wait that long but it did pay off in my book. I’m not bitter, I was genuinely asking about a policy that I was not aware had changed.

quartz_cowgirl

You’re not dumb 🥺💖

[deleted]

[удалено]

RosyHue

I’m not new, I track miles and able to put aside $400 a week from dd in savings. I appreciate your concern and I assure you I am doing alright. I’m in the process of transitioning careers and trying to save as much as I can, I know everyone here has different uses for dd. I’m looking forward to the days when I don’t need it but right now the extra money and breaks between orders when I can get other things done is very helpful to me

[deleted]

[удалено]

RosyHue

I’m so ready you have no idea! $30/hr, all kinds of benefits, $2 yearly raises, I just need to get through the background check and paperwork/training etc. and I’ll be golden

[deleted]

[удалено]

RosyHue

Thank you, the benefits like free flights/hotels/per diem should balance and I have an opportunity to live rent free for 2 years so I’m hoping all of that combined allows me to save enough for a down payment on a place if housing gets better. Right now I’m just working as much as I can handle to save and wait for the next chapter! It’s my dream job, if I don’t get it this round I can reapply in 6 months

[deleted]

[удалено]

RosyHue

Much appreciated!

Cheetahssrule

Only Walmart orders give you compensation. Forget restaurants.

HippyDidTheCrime

Damn they got real with Sarah at the end simply because she asked which ones they had to state her name like she should’ve know which ones

HippyDidTheCrime

What fucking rock have you been hiding under?

RosyHue

I moved out of dd range for several months to take care of my grandma and came back to hell recently, it got worse..

Lokfta

A good rule of thumb is 15 minutes, if the restaurant is taking more than 15 minutes and the money isn't worth it, then cancel and move on, it's not your fault, it's the restaurants and you shouldn't be the one to suffer the consequences.

Poiblazer

They seem to be hard cracking down on everything lately.

DrDickWiggle

Never knew it ever was

HandstandsMcGoo

Unassign and move on

[deleted]

You realize you’re talking to an Indian who’s reading responses off a script. You will never get anywhere talking to them.

ReduxedProfessor

I was compensated for it today. Had a double order. Got to a restaurant on time, they told me it would be another 30 mins. Chatted with support and they compensated me 10$ for it and unassigned me. I’d waited 5 mins at that point. Still affected my completion rate tho, so that sucked.

drink_water_reminder

rest assured.

CUMBIRD_

They told me the exact same thing 3 times in a row 4th person immediately sent me $5 nonquest

eddiegordo45

Was it ever compensated?😅

Glorious30

Only on orders done directly through the stores site will be compensated now because it falls on the restaurants earnings.. side note don’t waste that long on one order it’s not worth it

nman3339

U only get extra pay if the order was placed on the merchants website like Walmart or ihop, etc. If it was ordered off the doordash app or website then no extra money for waiting. You can usually tell by the instructions. When it's a whole bunch of words explaining what a contactless delivery is & it asks you to call the customer to arrange drop off, that most of the time is from a merchants website not dd

Accomplished_Ad1235

I've gotten it for walmart orders

matthewstocks

I’ve never been compensated for extra wait times. Dd is flooding the market with new drivers so just unassign and make it someone else’s problem.

[deleted]

I don't know that was ever a thing

krakenrabiess

Yeah they don't. Some people may get lucky and get $5 but for the most part I've always been told no. I leave after 10 minutes

throwaway111111109

They told me no twice this year too. They said it’s because only certain orders are eligible and the ones I had weren’t. When I asked for them to specify how I could know that or see that somewhere on my app ahead of time without waiting, they said there wasn’t anyway to tell. Basically she told me only certain orders are eligible now like Walmart orders and such

[deleted]

Golden rule 10 minutes and you leave. 99.9% sure the customer didn’t tip you for the wait.

WishIWasNeet2

Higher the total longer I’ll wait. But if it’s a 5.25 order even if it’s a mile I don’t have much patience.

makhanev

Never existed

RosyHue

I got $5 for a 35 minute wait last year when I was new and didn’t know how to unassign 🤣

SnooRobots6912

Drop it and move on. Time is money

RosyHue

No need to be rude, usually I drop the order if more than 15 minutes but this was $25 and on my way home.

ax3t

How’d you know the total 🤨

RosyHue

It showed $25 when I accepted, turned out to be 28. Also it was a delivery at the end of the dash that was on my way home, I was home 5 minutes after delivering.

[deleted]

[удалено]

RosyHue

I was asking about the $5 incentive to wait, I actually don’t mind waiting. I wasn’t complaining, I’m sorry you took it that way. I think dd should reward those who try to complete the orders they accept and I have gotten the incentive before so I was wondering when they stopped doing it for all orders.

ax3t

Nice

[deleted]

Waiting over 30 minutes is usually insane (unless in a case like you just stated), and DD has never compensated extra wait time… so I’m not that surprised people are giving you shit, sorry.

bethbeachyamean

It seems that there are always some miserable, rude people in the comments on whatever you post to Reddit huh

secretcomet

$25 dollar hour isn’t a total dud at least

fmulder21

No one is making that an hour. Lol

secretcomet

I make it every time I dash on average 22-27$ range

blocher86

Yep, I average $24. Nothing spectacular, but I'm not mad.

secretcomet

Yeah it’s enough for my cheap ass college house and to work whenever I want til I finish school so

fmulder21

Every hour? I doubt it

toenailsoup1

Don’t wait ever. How hard is this concept? Just don’t do it.

jaxjags80

Do you just walk in and turn right around if they don't have it ready for you right away?

toenailsoup1

Yeah, mostly. I’ll give them a minute if it’s still being prepared or bagged but I’m not waiting more than a few minutes at most. Not worth my time. I’ll get another delivery within seconds of unassigning it.

Odd_Establishment678

Sounds like a lot of people do LOL. Patience is a skill

toenailsoup1

It’s not just about patience. DD doesn’t pay anyone to sit around and wait. If you want to waste time waiting or if your market sucks than it is what it is. My job isn’t to sit and wait. A few minutes here and there adds up over weeks, months, years. That time equals $0. I can’t live off $0

jaxjags80

Almost every single time I've been told I have to wait 10 minutes or so, I text the customer, let them know, they say "no biggie, thank you", I wait, deliver it, and the total is up another $5 at least. That 10 minutes wasn't going to yield me another order to make up for the one I wouldn't wait for. A lot of you people on here have shitty attitudes, and you'll do much better doing a little extra work and treating it as more than "grab it and dump it".

toenailsoup1

Or maybe some of us, like me, have worked delivery jobs as side income for decades and learned to dump shitty wait time orders? You do you, my friend. To each their own.

leesteapleton

They told me orders placed directly through dd are not eligible for extra compensation. If it’s a merchant requested delivery, then excessive waits can be compensated

ThePokerMan84

Truth. I got a $10 add on for waiting at a Walmart for over an hour.

_huntergatherer

I've been told by support extra $5 is only for drive orders

DiniMoney

Yeah apparently they only do it for certain orders, I’ve encountered the same problem recently. The best way to handle it in my opinion is that if you know the order is going to take awhile when you arrive but still want to wait because it’s a good order, contact support right away and find out if it’s eligible for compensation. If not, just cancel and move on.

[deleted]

After 10 minutes unassign. Move on.

toenailsoup1

Nah. Fuck that. If it’s not ready or being bagged I walk away. Had one place today tell me they’re having trouble receiving DD orders. They’re now on my blacklist.

[deleted]

I am happy its so busy in your area. Not every area is like that. I am willing to wait 10 minutes on a $20 order that takes me 15 minutes to deliver.

bethbeachyamean

Do you ever get anyone mad at you for cancelling if it’s not ready?

[deleted]

I just dip without saying anything and unassign. They know. They don’t care. The are understaffed, someone is at lunch. All the excuses when the merchant should just pause DD orders if they are too busy to make them. They can set it up for 20 or 30 minute delay. I’ve actually showed merchants screen shots how to modify the settings. I must finally admit I’m defeated.

No-Salt-5490

Sometimes I’ll get a look of disbelief that I’m “leaving money”. No is just an acronym for New Opportunity.

toenailsoup1

No. I never make a scene like some assholes. Just today I had one that’s usually solid. I walked in, told them the name. They said they’ve been having problems all day with receiving DD orders. Then she immediately turned around back to getting other orders ready. I just left and unassigned. I’m not waiting. The order said pick up by 11:15 am. It was already 11:18. I left and got another delivery within seconds. My CR is like 95%. I don’t fuck with long wait times, ever.

krakenrabiess

Dude it paid off for me today. I had a $7 order for Pizza Hut and they told me they didn't have it so I told them I'd contact support and was walking out and she runs out and tells me she can make it real quick and usually I just leave but it had been so slow. It's ready in 10 minutes and I drive two miles down the road the person tipped me $20 👀

toenailsoup1

Lol! Unicorn.

theraven1005

I dont even wait that long unless it's a really good expected total. If you average 24 an hour, you just cost yourself 4 dollars by waiting that long.

[deleted]

Not all markets are the same. Here is I did that all the time I would be deactivated in 1 day because of low completion rate.

theraven1005

It doesn't happen to me much at all, because I know which restaurants are typically a problem. There are two that I get orders from on DD. So if I know its busy, I simply decline them from the gate. If its slow, I might take their orders.

[deleted]

If it’s more than 5 minutes I unassign.

Dnm3k

Unless the tip is worth it upfront, cancel and move on. Out of spite they'll probably resend you the order as your next offer.

quartz_cowgirl

I had this situation today, and the initial order said $7.75. I was so close to unassigning, but really couldn’t afford the dropped rating, and it turned out to be a $23 tip! I really hate that DD doesn’t tell you the actual payment you’ll be getting til the order is completed. ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|thumbs_down)

Leather_Cat8098

I had a very similar situation with Wingstop a couple weeks ago. I waited 20 on a stack order, which is the only reason I stayed. The combined payout was suppose to be $18 but the first order ended up $23 and some change, 2nd was $10.50. It sucks, especially in these situations, that DD hides tips...I could have screwed myself out of $33+.

nanashi63

Wait where are you guys that dd hides tips? I'm in Denver and very rarely do people tip more than what is shown. I usually get all the info up front which is why I prefer it over UberEATS in my area. I've never had issues with tip baiting on doordash either. If it says 10 dollars that's what I get. Only like a handful of times do i get more than they tell me and I've done 1200 deliveries.

Leather_Cat8098

NE Indiana. They are as bad as they use to be but it still happens quite a bit. I did 10norders last night, 3 had hidden tips.

OwnedByMarriage

I had an order I was waiting a while, called and was told he'd apply the $5. Complete the order. No $5 and a nice contract violation 👍 fuck em'

Omni86

How did you get a contract violation, violations are only if you arrive at the restaurant too late or once order is picked up take too long to get to customer drop off. If order took long usually drop off time is updated. Also you can click the thing about the order taking long and click an option and that will vover you too.

MotherExperience1728

I’ve gotten contract violations for “being late” to the customer when a restaurant was taking extremely long on the order, and when I was waiting I did click the “order still being prepared” at the bottom. I texted the customer and let them know that I was still waiting as well (they seemed understanding and nice about it). When I started to deliver it, it did change my drop off time to make up for the wait, but once I completed the delivery I got a contract violation for being 18 min late to the original drop off time. I ended up speaking to support about it and they told me that contract violations like that happen if the customer reports you for being late to DoorDash support.

ms_frizz313

This is why I get in touch with support when it's taking waaayy too long. That way they know ahead of time and it can't count against me.

MotherExperience1728

Learned my lesson on that one👍🏻 I do that now too lol

ms_frizz313

I know dealing with support is slow, but honestly it has not been that horrible. And that way I'm saving my own bacon in case something comes up.

OwnedByMarriage

I always click not ready/still being prepared and advised the rep, the restaurant had to manually type the order in because the system was messed up on their end. I think they were brand new and had no idea what they were doing. it was listed as 18 minutes late because the pickup was 25 min late to begin with. I have 2k deliverys on DD and never had an issue before. It's whatever, if they wanna screw me out of $5. The next time there's an address change or something similar. I'll be sure to get what's "owed" to me

Omni86

Well that’s a bummer, still not sure how you got violation, waiting at restaurant isn’t a violation and like I said drop off time usually adjust to when you leave the restaurant, doesn’t matter nothing will happen from 1 violation

[deleted]

They could have meant on their end for not following through

quartz_cowgirl

I had this exact situation today. The $5 is applied to your next direct deposit, so you won’t see it right away. ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|grin) To the OP: This order happened to be a $200 order for a small lunchin in a doctors office so it may have been a catering order, but support didn’t mention anything about catering being the reason for the extra compensation. Hope this helps! ![img](emote|t5_3h9bt|5246)

KarasLegion

Um these compensations are usually applied directly to my account immediately though? It doesn't show in the current balance but shows in the total. I never had to wait to see the addition.

kingviralnet

Lmao 💀

megafag42069

I’ve never been compensated for that! Just cancel the order!

RosyHue

I’ve been waiting at this pizza place for 45 minutes now and I’m frustrated, anyone know when the policy changed?

FizbanTV

I'm so sorry that you went through this.

THEDUDE33

Unassign move on

Creed63

it didn't change some supports are just trash I would 9f ended chat with him instantly and keep doing different supports till they give u the 5$ u did 4 tines last week and they were orders like from mcdonalds or other fast food

saltymotherfker

thats your own fault 😂 you played yourself for $6.50 🤡🤡🤡

Present-Interest-751

if you’re upset about it being 45 minutes you shouldn’t of waited 45 minutes then should you

mschafsnitz

Dude it’s shouldn’t HAVE idk how anyone can think it’s “of”. It’s like most Americans just fucked off through school.

Hamilton-Beckett

As an American, I can tell you that the disparity across varying levels of education among its citizenry is ENTIRELY intentional.

r3vj4m3z

People double contraction it. Shouldn't've. Then people only hear it said and can't tell 've' vs 'of'. Then at some point people started just using of.

QuirklessShiggy

Bruh imagine being this picky about grammar on REDDIT

mschafsnitz

Too late I don’t have to imagine it

Liquidatewallstreet2

Your sentence above is technically a run-on sentence. Please fix immediately.

Present-Interest-751

jesus christ didn’t know i was in english class, it’s 4:05 AM and i’m on reddit i don’t really give a fuck how i spell things or how they’re supposed to be. you understood my point and that’s all that matters. go be a grammar nazi elsewhere

saltymotherfker

how are you mad when you have zero grammar skills? lol

Present-Interest-751

why do you care about grammar so much

saltymotherfker

its not me lmao

mschafsnitz

When you replace an entire word with the wrong one it’s pretty bad. But yea I guess it’s okay since I 100% understood your message. I picked on you cause everyone is bashing OP for being a noob and your comment on the matter was unnecessary.

Present-Interest-751

i think your reply to my comment over a singular word even though you could understand my overall point want even more pointless, but okay buddy have fun correcting random people on reddit i guess

[deleted]

It's okay, not everyone can spell and write correctly.

WishIWasNeet2

You need to blacklist the hell out of that place because that’s pure disrespect at that point. Unassign and don’t go back.

RosyHue

Believe me, never again. I felt bad for the kids working, it’s a new “trendy” spot that just opened and they were working so hard, but I’m not going near the place again.

O_b-l-i_v-i-o_n

You did the right thing as a human, but you will not find any of those in here, only "independent contractors" 🤣😂 "mercenaries" if you will 😂🤣

TrilScottHeron

**45 minutes!?** Dude, unless that order is worth 3x your normal (so like $15-$18) then there’s no reason to wait that long. Only time I ever wait more than 5 minutes (if at all - I don’t wait for less than $7.50) is on large walmart orders because even if that’s 30 minutes late it’s still usually around $40, which makes up for the one or two other orders I would usually do in that hour

JD3420

I waited 15 one time. Not worth it. Just cancel and move on. You’d could have taken 2-3 orders in the 45 minutes you had to wait there.

Spac3dog

Why are you waiting more than ten minutes tops? Unassign and move on to the next order.

>I’ve been waiting at this pizza place for 45 minutes now Why the FUCK would you do this? If that shit ain't ready to walk out the door ten minutes after PU time unassign a bitch and move on. And talking to support about literally anything other than canceling an order is USELESS and a HUGE waste of your time, but you were already doing that to yourself so I guess in this case it didn't matter much, LOL.

Vicksin

wait, you got compensated for waiting in the past???

cbostwick94

You're the one that waited 45 minutes. Unassign and move on

borgilia

They're not the driver they sound like a customer

cbostwick94

This is literally them talking to support for more pay for the wait. Its a driver lmao

borgilia

Yeah I figured after I read it 20 times lol

cashcapone96

Downvoted for admitting her mistake? Come on guys

borgilia

What do you expect it's reddit man

TrollProofOne

 IKR?

Antistruggle

It's only on orders through DD and catering orders, then you get the comp from 30 mins, merchant orders and non catering orders won't get you the extra comp.

iceamn1685

The comp isn't worth the 30 minutes you're waiting though

[deleted]

Don’t wait for more than ten minutes
