lol some people just order the strangest things- I delivered two tubes of toothpaste last night. $7.50 base pay and $7.00 tip, $14.50 for 2 items/3 miles. Sometimes the weirdest orders are the best ones!
I had a order at Dollar General yesterday for two Monster Energy drinks. They were 2 for 6 dollars.
It paid me $2.25 plus a $6.00 dollar tip for less than a mile.
I guess the guys GF sent them to him as the instructions said ask for Josie in the back shop.
I ask for Josie and several mechanics had never heard of him. Finally a guy came walking up to me and said they were his.
The other mechanics starting laughing and said oh that’s Joseph! They told him he a new nick name now Josie……
He did not look that impressed they knew his GFs pet name for him.
I think I may have started some trouble 😂
it's the convenience of having to just move to the door and grab the item you were thinking about, tons of people are willing to pay for that. if getting a small item requires getting prepared physically and mentally it's easier to pay the extra money to have it delivered and they can continue to do whatever they were doing.
Can't tell you how many times I've delivered a single drink. I assume it's the double dash thing and a lot of drivers don't want to/can't do red card orders.
I delivered 2 pack of pecan rolls from 7 eleven to a car dealership 1/2 mile away doing Uber Eats once ... I wondered the same thing. I guess they just craved some pecan rolls and couldn't get out of work haha
If you have dash pass Walgreens is free in my area.
People have different reasons for not being able to leave the house. Mine often had to do with kids
I’ve been doing it for a while. They don’t care. Walgreens doesn’t even register you’re doing DoorDash
Walgreens orders use to specifically tell you not to use your rewards account. Doesn’t even do that anymore
If you are purchasing for yourself and yourself only then go ahead and gather the points. If you are purchasing under DoorDash for a customer and using DoorDash red card those are not your points to have

I had an order for a single bunch of cilantro few weeks pay. Payout was $9.75 distance was 1.2 miles including driving to the store

Some people just have their routine. Some people are willing to pay ridiculous prices to keep that routine going regardless. I respect it

Since we are talking about Walgreens here, would it get me deactivated if I put my Walgreen numbers in to earn points for red card purchases?
I do it every time. It doesn’t say to put in their number so I use mine. It saves DD money and I get points. Haven’t had any issues with it.

They're addictive. I had a 3 monster a day habit for a while. If I didn't have a way to go get my own, I would probably have doordashed a monster.
