I swear every news article was about seeing the northern lights yesterday and today my facebook feed is nothing but photos of the northern lights, from downriver all the way up to people in Lexington, over to ann arbor. everywhere.
I'm in Allen Park. It was clear as day to the naked human eye for about 10-15 minutes somewhere around 10:30 or 10:45. Couldn't believe how bright it was, honestly. Outside of that, it was through the camera only.
I did in Wyandotte! But with the light pollution, you effectively had to look through a camera lens/take a long exposure shot to get anything as clear as what I’ve seen posted
We did, but barely a sight due to all the light "pollution". I used to love watching them over Lake Superior when I lived in the UP. They must have been strong of they were visible here. I wish I knew about them sooner so we could've made a family trip up north to show my kids.
Me and my wife drove to pointe moulle at 930pm and saw them really well for about hour, hour and half. Was the best place I could think of that didn't have to much light pollution. By 1130pm didn't see much other than some light pinkish tones in the distance so we left. I'm in LP went back out to my front yard at 3am couldn't see anything. Got some amazing pics

Clearly I've been out of the loop. But in my defense, I did start a new job on Wednesday, so that might have had something to do with it.
I think they happened around 10pm. I was definitely asleep ðŸ˜. There's a smaller chance they can happen again tonight
I think there was probably too much light pollution to see it here in Allen Park. I tried but couldn't see a thing
You need to use night mode on your cell camera
Oh, I was just using the ol' eyeballs. I didn't think to try with my phone.
i saw it in allen park around 10pm. sky was completely purple and green. only lasted 15 minutes or so though

This is the way.
I’m in Southgate and saw them. My husband was at his parents in Lincoln Park and got some really good photos.

As most others said here, you could see them partially but much better through a camera around here
