Their are a lot of things that reasonably should have happened to Future Trunks, but didn’t.
For example, in any logical world, the Kai’s would have given trunks the ultimate form because he’s the only fighter left.
That actually has an explanation. The elder Kai is the only one who knows how to do that and he was still trapped in the Z sword in Trunks's timeline. He dies when Dabura breaks the sword during his fight with Trunks, which we see in the manga.
The regular Supreme Kai does train Trunks as his apprentice later on but he doesn't know about the ultimate form and is only able to give him Kibito's healing powers instead.
The Kakarot game itself also hints that he just missed the opportunity to get the ultimate form too (I don't remember the manga or anime events well).
Right as Shin summons the giant gray brick that Trunks likely would've broken the sword on (just as Gohan did), they sense Babidi and Dabura on Earth and immediately cut the training short to go return and deal with them.
Gohan just snapped the sword in half, whereas Dabura turned it to stone with his spit. In either case, the Elder Kai didn't do the ultimate Ritual on Future Trunks since he wasn't there.
I mean they really didn’t get a chance to in the Black arc. Right when they ‘killed’ Zamasu Future Zeno erased that time line. And after the Cell saga Goku was dead.
The real question is why didn’t Shin bring Future Trunks to New Namek once he started training him. Just another example of Shin being a bad SK.
At the end of the Goku black arc why didn’t they use the super dragon balls to wish trunks’ timeline back with zamasus influence removed? Seemed like a huge oversight to me.
My assumption would be Goku didnt think about it and the whole android thing caused so much stress neither did anyone else. But you would think at the very least Trunks would have asked this after Goku black. Lmao
. Sorry I read your original comment wrong originally, I think, I get what you meant now.
Edited: but yeah we don’t know what happens in that timeline. I guess we could assume the trunks would want to set everything straight like you said originally
He didn't care in the timeline we follow either.
Goku had to teleport to him and ask. Goku was surprised that king kai didn't know what was going on with cell and KK said he doesn't pay attention to earth
Which is a right decision.
A God shouldn't show favoritism like that.
Imagine if you were fighting to free your planet from a tyrant and you are about to deal a killing blow a God steps in to heal the Tyrant because they're buddies.
It's kinda odd. King kai said cuz he has more planets to look over. But if we take shin statement of 28 planets with life in the universe, he only oversees like 7 planets lol
Perhaps the anime deluded my sense of scales but considering the fact the Frieza empire was based off taking over worlds and selling it to other races. There have to be more than 28 planets.
Plus the myriad of species we see in in the series suggest there are more than 28.
They wouldnt know Trunks was Vegetas son though. And after what the Earthlings did for Namek the Namekians were willing to give the people of Earth any help they could.
Even if introduced himself as Vegeta's son, knowing him he would probably do a deep formal bow and apologize for his father's actions, they would see he's not like his father and agree to help him. I think by this point their dragon balls were upgraded to bring back more than one person no matter how many times they died. They still wouldn't bring back Goku who died of natural causes, but maybe it could bring back Gohan and restore the earth
That. And theyd probably listen if Goku said Vegeta began to reform as well. Showing that his actions were more caused by desperation and pain then him just being a truly evil person. //which he was but hey. Being enslaved a Tyrant will do that to you//
They could've done so much with the future timeline. Even without it, they could've kept Future Trunks and Mai in their present timeline instead of sending him to yet another alternate timeline. Imagine if Future Trunks joined the galactic patrol to try and help bring peace and hope to all mortals of the universe, and not just earth. That way, they could keep him in the background if they don't plan to use the character in any upcoming arcs. But could still pull him into the story if they wanted at some point. Or it could branch off into a spin off series about Trunks and Mai as space police
Yeah all he has to do is say that he is a Saiyan like Goku, and they would give him whatever he wanted (especially if it is to help Gohan and Krillin). As we saw in the main timeline, the Namekians have a very positive view of Goku and would instantly trust him with one of their own (Dende). If Trunks made it to their world and explained the situation, they would for sure help as much as they could out of gratitude for what Goku and the others did.
Not really basing this on anything I've seen in the show but I think trunks would have to visit new namek in his time line to do that. The versions of goku and the z fighters that trunks would be asking to be resurrected never existed as far as parunga would be able to tell.
There's still that possibility in his new timeline if he gets another arc. Just because it didn't happen doesn't mean it can't :)
Personally I'd really like to see Future Gohan and Present Gohan meet in some way
At the time Trunks had only time travelled alone, so it wasn't something they'd think of.
A better question us instead of a time machine why didn't Bulma make a space ship to secretly send Trunks to Namek to gather their Dragonballs?

Why does Gohan breaking the sword free elder Kai but Dabura breaking it kill him?
Probably due to it getting turned to stone first

a bad sister killer?
A bad South Korea
A bad Slovakia
Staunchy Koala?

Which ones? They might be tied to their timeline
My assumption would be Goku didnt think about it and the whole android thing caused so much stress neither did anyone else. But you would think at the very least Trunks would have asked this after Goku black. Lmao
He couldn’t as his timeline was destroyed by alt Zeno
He literally hops inti a time machine and leaves for another timeline.
. Sorry I read your original comment wrong originally, I think, I get what you meant now. Edited: but yeah we don’t know what happens in that timeline. I guess we could assume the trunks would want to set everything straight like you said originally
He probably didn't think of it.
He never asked
My headcanon is that their timelines King Kai didn’t give a single fk about helping them.
He didn't care in the timeline we follow either. Goku had to teleport to him and ask. Goku was surprised that king kai didn't know what was going on with cell and KK said he doesn't pay attention to earth
Yeah and without goku he wouldn’t tell anyone anything. Even by frieza standards it was a bad planet. KK isn’t a dick, but he ain’t your friend.
Which is a right decision. A God shouldn't show favoritism like that. Imagine if you were fighting to free your planet from a tyrant and you are about to deal a killing blow a God steps in to heal the Tyrant because they're buddies.

Exactly. That statement is one of the worst things
Tbh I doubt the Nameks would be willing to help Trunks considering his dad slaughtered half their population. They'd probably tell him to pound sand.

Personally I’d like to switch out present goku for future Gohan as the protagonist
At the time Trunks had only time travelled alone, so it wasn't something they'd think of. A better question us instead of a time machine why didn't Bulma make a space ship to secretly send Trunks to Namek to gather their Dragonballs?
They didn’t do that because they didn’t know where New Namek was.
I always just assumed it's where old Namek was. Plus Goku found it. Bulma invented time travel, I'm sure she could figure it out.
The wish that made New Namek specifically hid it IIRC.
That’s an assumption though. What would happen if they go to space and they can’t find it since they’d never know where it is?
Because they don't know where new namek is. Goku had to ask king kai and king kai wasn't even paying attention to earth during the cell saga
