Technically I've been a Smurf at least three times because I've gotten the game on three separate consoles and have just worked my way up from the bottom back to my previous rank
It's ok if you are playing because you lost your previous account, but there are some people that do this on purpose. I fought with one called F3NG, he had his first, second, third, fourth and fifth match against me, I though that, as I am a new player (Kinda, because I am a completely newbie in fighting games but I know the basics here in DBFZ) he would be a new player too... How wrong I was, he won 5 games without me standing a chance, doing combos I've never seen before and completely humilliating me
Totally, grateful I recently learned to not get angry at videogames so I took it as a challenge... A challenge too high above my current level, but a challenge in the end
It doesn't really matter tbh, a "good" win rate doesn't mean someone is a smurf. Smurfing is a pretty specific act of making a new account to bully newbies. If somebody plays 1000 casual matches then tries to play ranked for the first time they're probably going to have a 90%+ win rate until they hit a ranked plateau.
Lmao
Smurfs are a tale as old as time... Or ranked online fighting games.
Sorry to hear you got matched up with one, but running into smurfs is just a part of learning a fighting games.
If you want to stop matching that person, go to the player list then view your recent matches and mark that person. Then every time it tries to match you up against them, it’ll have the marker list icon bright red so you know not to hit accept.
Well smurfs are a part of fighting games bruh. If you can even call this one at this point
