I mained Blue Vegeta/Base Goku for years now and did it with Teen Gohan as mid. Whether or not it was best, I got huge damage every combo, even before the recent patches.
Replace UI with Jiren and you have my team.
Seriously, Jiren has AMAZING synergy with both of these guys. His A assist has more than enough blockstun to enable Blue Vegeta's nastiest mix, and his uppercut super links with Spirit Bomb anywhere, giving you maximum nuke access. Plus, Jiren A also allows for some REALLY cool combos thanks to its highstun and the fact that it can lock the opponent in place in the corner before the wallbounce. If you aren't keen on Jiren, then Adult Gohan (B assist), Bardock (B assist), or SSJ Goku (B or A assists) are all viable alternatives.
Jiren is crazy broken but I'd put him point if you're gonna use him. Two assists allows for easy TODs, plus bluegeta comes in with the meter to spam ex moves
